Its cool, the model kits they have released and games currently sustain me.

G-Witch is the Gundam equivalent of the Fallout TV show and Fallout 4. Managed to attract a horde of teeming tourists who knew nothing or at least heard some about the franchise and proceeded to rape it to near oblivion. I doubt these tourists would handle watching the older Gundams as the Fallout tourists would with FO1/2/NV/3.
The amount of fujo retards spamming shipping wars was enough to put me off the bitch from mercury. Was a good premise and supposedly takes places after IBO. But there's nothing about tekkadan and from what I saw, really was more of a shitty slice of life japanese high school anime, but in space. With Minimal Gundams. Nothing about those fight scenes screams "witch" to me when the pilot is too busy PMSing or gasping for no fucking reason the whole time like a fish out of water.

At least homeworld 3 was a good palate cleanser with the cool and collected fleet pilots that don't freak the fuck out just because the enemy actually shoots back at them.

Because it doesn't. It's a brand new timeline.

That's why it's so popular. Unlike most mecha anime, it focuses on the characters (who are just autistic moe blobs), chud!
Weird. It must have changed then at some point. Because it was initially marketed as being in the same timeline as IBO but taking place on another planet. The author also changed something about the story that had the fujos up in arms after the anime ended, so that would not be too farfetched that they changed it to its own continuity.

Character focuses can be done right without sacrificing the presence of the genre's namesake. VOTOMS and its spinoffs do that just right.

I’ve been meaning to get back to watching more mecha after taking a break for a while. Cybuster is next on my list, I don't know much about it besides it originally being from SRW but the OP is really good and gives me a strange sense of nostalgia.

Well the show to my understanding is canon since its referenced in the masou kishin series. Its still a good watch even if you dont like or know SRW. Imo it starts a little slow, but it picks up. Mind you the version that youve seen of cybaster in general it is the nerfed version.

Started reading Mazinger Z 2022z it takes the pages of gekiman and crrate news ones in a reboot of the story set in 2022. Man,I love modern Nagai art so much, it just look so full of details and still has the same raw spirit. This ill be just a short story and will not cover the whole story but to see this introduction with new elements is always good.

Here is something interesting, the rayearth mecha design:

This is the original design by CLAMP

This is the anime design, by Masahiro Yamane

But there was another, before being chosen, there was the designs by Goro Murata, this being the rough 3.5, which was way closer to the original design

Here the first design, way chonkier

The design 2 looks more knightlike

And the design 6:

Quite interesting designs and to ser how each feature like the middle toe is dropped and the proportion changes.

I like the second one, probably because it's bulky and I like the big toes. It reminds me of FX Black Ox, which is really cool because it can transform into flight mode, it has shoulder cannons, and it goes from evil to the good guys' trump card. The other FX Tetsujins, Gridman, the Mazingers, and Silverion are some other knightlike mecha -- I really like knightlike mecha.

I only picked up Votoms from the local thrift store because it was a DVD box-set and the artwork was interesting. I bought the first set, watched it when I got home, and then went out later in the week to pick up the other three. Had no idea what I was getting into, was real pleased with what I got before the second arc began.

They truly don't make anime like that anymore.

Armor hunter mellowlink is a great spinoff.
