Take responsibilty and give us your technology? What's his problem?

The only thing I really hated about it was what they did to Max and Milia's relationship, that was criminal and it would have been better if they weren't in it at all.
That was in universe fake out, as both of them did explained why they're doing the kayfabe.
If you end up liking the TV series, I highly recommend checking out the Macross 7 Plus shorts, The Galaxy is Calling Me mini movie, and the Dynamite 7 OVA (god tier soundtrack and animation).
Be advised the "official" release of Dynamite 7 had been censored and strongly recommend sailing the high seas for an older uncut copy.
My only question is why there's like one mention of their first daughter (the baby in the original Macross) and she doesn't even show up as a cameo.
Komillia Jenius like with the rest of her sisters have their own lifes elsewhere. Moreso with Komillia also serving in UN Spacy which dictated where she was at.
Komillia grown up in her UN Spacy flightsuit.

there was a cheap af thing about ten years back, Venus Project Climax where the girls idol at each other and so big things fight (sometimes robots)
it was pretty stupid and cheap, like very QUALITY, and it was 2d QUALITY to boot, not the all-too-common shit cg of these days

Starting disc 2 of Xenogears.

How come mecha anime are allowed to plagiarize each other so heavily?
Because it's a show of respect to Gundam and Ultraman. They hit gold with 0079's setup, and rather than innovate on that they tried to figure out how to make it into an even more profitable product by adding cooler robots, different settings, and anime tropes like the Macross love triangle, the proto-harem in Orguss, the proto-VN-suffering-porn in Zeta, the proto-Code Geass brooding guy/waifu setup in Votoms, the Dr. Slump cashin that was Vifam, and the Kinnikuman-inspired proto-shonen setup in Xabungle (and Xabungle probably did influence the direction of Shonen Jump stories since it was referenced in Dr. Slump). The only 80s real robot shows that seem to stand out as objectively good are Dougram, Ideon, Layzner, Galient, and Dragonar. Fukuda plagiarizes everything he worked on before because he has zero original ideas outside action direction (and even that is often plagiarized) and adding pointy wings to everything.

SRW Y got announced and it not only looks like shit but a solid chunk of the series in the trailer blow. Worth the wait btw

Majestic Prince, Macross Delta, and Lelouch of the Resurrection? Why? The only interesting series are Combattler V, Dunbine, and Getter Arc (which I expect won't be rewritten very heavily since this is a very lazy lineup). G-Witch was inevitable, but I expected them to have SEED Freedom to sweeten the pot and see Fukuda's fit when they try to rewrite it, so that's disappointing. Also all the OG robots and characters are ugly as sin.
