Reminder, a dead streamer nigger got one but not James. Fuck Jannies and fuck Nu-Remedy, they will likely use this as an excuse to replace Max with a nigger in the remake(and if it's not on them, then Sweet Baby will "recommend" they do that, like they did with Sage in Alan Wake 2)
RIP to James, fighting with cancer isn't easy and there will never quite be another actor like him. There certainly won't ever be another Max Payne, that's for sure

Its sad to read that James McCaffrey died. Max Payne was my favorite video game character.
Playing the first Max Payne I could see what inspired the games atmosphere, Twin Peaks and Vampire the masquerade being examples. I enjoyed all of the games, the first two games are my favorite even Max Payne 3 was okay, although I would have preferred that it stayed in New Jersey rather than Brazil.
Regarding Max Payne being a black character now that James is gone. that was Sam Lake's original idea before he scrapped that for a better one. He even referenced the character, in Max Payne 1 there was dialogue between some commandos about what name they gave their guns and in Max Payne 2 it was featured as TV show in the game.
That was Dick Justice.
As luck would have it, we got Max Payne.
