They need principals because who will give all the SJW scum F grades if the principals won't?
Sorry to A-log. Principles and politics do not mix! Though I bet they would have fun with Trump's 'pole' .
Because when you don't give a pragmatic explaination for your goals, the means can lead to a fucking trainwreck. The party platform for the GOP is unlike any I've seen before from them. It calls out collage safe spaces because free speech doesn't stop at the school (but I bet they would fight Tinker v Desmoins) and then call for the BDS anti-semetic in nature; they're using the same PC tools to push their agenda.
Principles are essential in politics for the common good and dignity of humans, here is the most recent development that makes me deeply concerned by the change of the GOP identity.
The Party of Lincoln wants to enforce a national voter ID law to combat voter impersonation, which has had a whopping 31 reports per billion ballots. We already have regulations that punishes voter fraud, but the GOP decided to play it's hand early and passed several voter ID laws in states. The problem is the ID laws vary, so my passport might work in one state, but another would require say, my original birth certificate. Pennslyvennia (a state that has gone to the Democrats in recent years but is still a swing state, and commands 20 electoral votes) had its ID law scrapped when the justices decided it was putting an unnessisary burden on the public. One 68 year old woman had to make 3 different trips to PENDOT just to vote. Not everyone has a photo ID that works, and in the state of Alabama, most of the DMVs closed, forcing people to make a long trip to a get to the DVM before it cloaes at an ass backwards time to be able to cast a ballot.
It makes it worse that voter ID laws have had a negative effect on turnout for traditionally Democratic voters like college students, the elderly, and racial minorities as well as blue collar workers for Republican. And the issue is less about being politically correct as it is the people who have championed these laws (GOP lawmakers) admitted they would help the GOP.
I live in a state that tried to pull that shit, and even I was mad as hell, and helped fight for the Court to hear it.
It would be bullshit if the Democrats tried to make it harder for whites to vote by putting the polling places in say, the hood. So why is it OK here to violate the basic principles of democratic elections? And they will do it, because a Trump White House will happily sign it once the GOP Congress passes it without a problem, and then appoint at least one new justice with estimates of up to three, for the Supreme Court to decide the law doesn't violate the Constitution, even though it clearly violates the 15th ammendment. A lack of principals has lead to a GOP that represents the same demands of common rabble, and thus willing to basically shitcan democracy and representitive government.
