It was like someone did a Hollywood production of what liberals think would happen. The 'preacher' was a real great pick choice, mixing up two very volitile things, religion with politics.

I was 90% sure that preacher was gonna start telling me I needed to mail him a check and that god would pay me back double. Or that Trump was literally going to ascend to another plane of existence. We found the black Peter Popoff everyone.

I don't know. I might believe someone saying: "I must have been subconsciously thinking along those lines after reading it as an example of a good speech."
However, they're running in circles like chickens with their heads cut off.

I have to wonder how this is going to play out in the south, since by complete coincidence I've ended up watching something about Abraham Lincoln's election, followed up by the Top Gear episode where they go drive inflammatory slogan cars and James May's prominently is soliciting Hillary for President, whom he describes as being the south's 'Antichrist' figure in the eyes of republicans.

Do enough people in the south hate Hillary enough to vote in a guy who regularly insults minorities - a lot of whom also live in the south - and is threatening to cut off the extremely cheap, illegal labor pool of migrant Mexican workers (which obviously large plantation owners are not going to like, despite that being precisely the kind of thing the Great Wall of Trump would aim to do)?

There was a great article I read awhile ago about Trump vs Clinton. And the gist was Clinton tells untruths because she is trying to manipulate, while Trump tells untruths because he just has no processing filter. Hench why he has, on several occasions, even stuck to incorrect things about basic geography, or what politician won what election.

Despite the fact the South is already poorer than anywhere else in the county that isn't Detroit-tier industrial wasteland? I've also never seen a farm that doesn't use machines instead of people for labor down here. Also, as I just said, the South is already a poorer part of America so a bunch of people coming in and depressing wages further isn't going to fly. I don't particularly like Trump either, but your reasons need work.

While true, I was speaking more in terms of those big employers who run those farms. Sure, the general public would be all for keeping illegal immigrants out of that labor pool, but they don't have the money to burn millions on politics in the hopes of kickbacks.

The mass populace would like it, but the industry execs probably would have a different opinion.

I think I'm done watching this convention. Both times have been Trump and co making asses out of themselves in order to energize people who couldn't be let down if Trump pissed himself on the floor.

My brother and I are calling this year, the year of shucking and jiving. You got a black preacher calling an entire party the enemy of God (IF YOU BELIEVE, CAN I GET AN AMEN), Rudy was just screaming Radical Islamic terror into a microphone, like that was going to explain how we're going to pay for the wall or what the fuck rebuild the military means, Chris Christie got to "put Clinton on trial" because that won't look autistic, we keep going back to the assertions that Clinton murdered 4 people in Bengazi because its all we seem to be able to discuss with those 3 House Committies, and the new gem: Hilary is wants to destroy Medicare...the program the new GOP platform calls for turning into a block grant scheme. :story:

Civil War and/or anarchy when??? I know it's autistic and/or dumb to suggest, but we're just asking for it. And all these hate groups (BLM, KKK, Westboro Baptist Church and other relgious extremists, SJWs and their ilk, etc.!) being around is only adding fuel to that fire.

Won't be a civil war. Will be a chimp out where all sides are on some level guilty. The president, and Clinton will say words, and the National Review will say some fragment involving the phrases 'race-bait' 'most derisive' 'polarizing' and my favorite, despite being use after SCOUTUS preserved most of the ACA.
Trump, and his posse off asskissers will go back to 'not being tough enough' 'making America safe again' and for good measure, have Rudy just shout directly into the camera mic about Radical Islamic Terror.
People on Salon or HuffPo will say those statments were racist or sexist, and WND and Fox will act like Trump laid out a fucking 14 point plan with more details than a green screen. Mass media, and this autistic need to be at one another's throats is really fucking with our brains.
