All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

The prospect of Trump as president is hard to swallow, but in these times it's good to remember that things will not appreciably improve no matter who the president is and that politics has no real bearing on any of our lives

Tell that to Mexican and Arab Americans

Speaking of Mexicans...

Two former Mexican presidents compare Donald Trump to Hitler
Felipe Calderon and Vicente Fox said the outspoken presidential candidate was stirring up hate like the Nazi dictator

Two former Mexican presidents have compared Donald Trump’s to Adolf Hitler as the cross-border war of words over the Republican presidential frontrunner’s immigration rhetoric intensified.

Felipe Calderon, a conservative who was president of Mexico from 2006 to 2012, told reporters at an event in Mexico City on Saturday that Trump’s political rhetoric was “racist” and evocative of the Nazi dictator.

“This logic of praising the white supremacy is not just anti-immigration,” Calderon said. “He is acting and speaking out against immigrants that have a different skin color than he does, it is frankly racist and [he is] exploiting feelings like Hitler did in his time,” Calderon said.

Calderon added that Trump’s discourse was “sowing hate” against the United States around the world and that was “not in Washington’s interest”.

Trump has accused Mexico of sending rapists and drug runners across the US border and has vowed to make Mexico pay for a wall on the border.

I have been greatly enjoying (as I have everything this election cycle) many doubters, Lefties and etc. making the exact claims and theories as I in 2008, such as Obama being like Hitler and him causing WWIII.

And remember Joe the Plumber? Heh, John McCain actually found a weapon for a time.

But obama never talked about Mexicans being rapists, banning muslims from entering the US or weakening journalistic protections.

Not the same. Not even close.

Marco had so much energy he was the one that helped Jeb! sink down so low.

Now, look at him!

Look at Hillary Clinton's numbers with black people...
Considering that Hillary Clinton ran a Implicitly racist campaign against Obama in 08 and Sanders was an actual civil rights campaigner, I find that number kinda horrifying.

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

I'd honestly vote for Trump just to spite Clinton and the powers that be.

Yes. As dickheadish as I may sound here, I definitely wanted someone like Trump just to spite all those who groveled at Obama's stupid "Change Hope and Yes we Can!" foolishness. Thing was with those types of words they were not really relevant.

All Trump had to say was "Make America Great Again" to make himself very relevant. "When was it ever really great?" Doubtes ask, well definitely not since GHWB came in to establish his Political dynasty into the White House, for him to vomit all over the place and cause Bill Clinton to usurp him.

I really wish I can time travel to 1979 and get me a Reagan Button, bearing those familiar words "Lets make America Great again!"

He never said they were all rapists. He said that illegals were bringing crime, cartel activity, and other undesirable effects (ex. dragging down labor standards & wages). Of which is an undeniable truth, and can be easily proven. Isn't it funny how "blue" states attack nullification of federal law, yet they do it themselves when they find it convenient?
In fact, when they immigrate legally, they fare much better. After all, someone who hires illegals could easily abuse them (ex. $2/hr & 12 hrs/day for 6 days/wk), and they have no recourse.

No he didn't. he said-
When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
He didn't say illegals, he insinuated Mexicans in general. That's a giant difference.

This is certauly a possibilty. Trump has created a narrative where the establishment has been screwing the base over.

This is why a hypothetical consensus anybody-but-Trump Republican candidate might still fail - it might galvanise Trump supporters with anger that the GOP establishment is trying to 'steal' the nomination that's Trump's by right.

This is why even if Cruz or Rubio wanted to drop out and endorse the other, they couldn't really do so at this point - it would have to be stage managed to seem to be the result of the primary votes, not just the party establishment's panic.

The person Rubio should be trying to get to drop out is Kasich, not Cruz. Kasich is the one who is gonna poach moderate voters. If Cruz drops out, my money is on Trump getting a bigger boost than Rubio.

The time for that was before now.

Now they're stuck with a candidate who openly promises to abolish the Constitution and bring back seditious libel laws to prevent criticizing the government he wants to be absolute monarch of.

Those racist Berniebros keep saying that Hillary won South Carolina because she fooled the blacks. Luckily we know the truth. It's because they're too stupid to care about Citizen's United or Hedge Funds :story:
