What are you talking about? The Kill Bill movies does not exist! Jenifer Lawrence was the first action heroine! Come on, that is common knowledge!
Oh nooooo!!! I'm such a wrongo

But in all seriousness, the Hunger Game Movies are interesting, only because the second one chose to have the "Hunger Games" part of the film presented in the IMAX 1.43:1 aspect ratio which did nearly get me to go see it in London because I am a simp of the format.

This clip is an example:

And it's funny how Marvel went on to brag about being the "first movies shot in IMAX". Like, no. They were the first shot with IMAX certified digital cameras. Which really meant that it was going to be in 1,90:1 - Tvs are in 16:9 (a better ratio). There are better cameras, and viewing formats out there.

But hey, IMAX 70mm is a very special format. Something Marvel has never used, which is ironically something the second Hunger Games movie has over the entire MCU. Like, I would rather go to an actual IMAX theatre (like hell the London Science Museum, the one showing it on IMAX 70mm after 10 years)

And this is the fucking cinema:

Which fuck whoever put the rails so high and the staircase in the middle.

Your both wrong. Kill Bill I, II, and The Avengers movies are both good in their own ways. Also why would you compare Tarantino's movies to Marvel's they're 2 very different types of film series?
I made a joke, not a comparison.

Disney like to pretend they where first in everything. They would have taken credit for the wheel if they thought they could.

Watched the new Fantastic Four and it's easily the worst of all the FF movies (not counting the unreleased one). First, Vanessa Kirby is bogged to hell and anyone who says they don't see it is a liar. There's a shot where Galactus is scanning their ship and everyone has a scared expression except her because she can't emote anymore. It's crazy. Ass is amazing in that uniform though. Still, Sue is a girlboss and she's so powerful she singlehandedly takes Galactus down almost by herself. Lady Silver Surfer has pecs but is strangely sexy, so I didn't mind her. Doom only showing up in single film frame is goofy.

Kill Bill Volume 1 + 2 is better than Infinity War + Endgame
i always hated kill bill, its a terrible movie duo, the different vibes between them don't work for me. the goofy asian stuff and somber western tones clash in a way i don't enjoy. at least avengers 3+4 connect better.
IMAX 70mm is a very special format.
so special even now there are roughly 10 theaters on the planet with that format and most IMAX only just got around to upgrading to laser.

beyond that imax in general is mostly overpriced garbage, you pay more for a minute or two of actually different better footage most of the time. At least with Dolby cinema they can ensure great sound quality as well. IMAX being faggots about rereleases blows too.

4dx is probably my favorite, but it depends on the film, avatar is good because you feel like you got shot every time a gun appears on screen

the one thing I thought about this movie is our first introduction to galactus is incredible and there is nothing else of worth in the entire movie and the rest of it basically spends the runtime undoing that scene being cool.

the other thing I remember, is my friend said something I totally agreed with as soon as it ended. he said it felt like a 22 minute episode of a FF cartoon, that somehow to watch the 22 minutes, it takes 2 hours. nothing happens in that movie. they find out about galactus, go there, he comes here, sue wins, it's over. that's literally it. everything you'd WANT to see in a fantastic four movie, is relegated to a montage in the beginning and you don't see it at all. and everything in it that is an interesting premise for a Fantastic Four movie, like idk maybe Sue Storm achieving world peace barring Doom's county of Latveria, is regulated to a throwaway that happened.

the only other thing of note I remember from watching it was in Doom's single frame someone said "that nigga dr doom looks homeless, RDJ must have spent all that Iron Man money relapsing and now he's just got a dirty green blanket"

but we watched a low quality camrip so idk maybe his costume looks better in HD, it did look like a filthy green blanket to me though lol

I feel like Kill Bill benefits from being released at a time when genuine asian cinema was not as readily available. (same with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)

Nowadays, the boutique labels are all scrambling to license and restore every old Hong Kong martial arts film they can find. The novelty just isn't there anymore.

I honesty wish more actresses worked out to achieve a genuine muscular but still feminine look. You see them be willing to uglify themselves in a ton of ways but never go the pecs and muscles route because that takes effort even though they could still look sexy while athletic.

The problem with Kill Bill is that it is ultimately two movies. Apart from that, they are solid action flicks that use action tropes very effectively. Nothing too new but everything is executed well. I would say that it is the more action-y version of "The Count of Monte Cristo". Instead of schemes that bring the downfall of those who wronged the protagonist, it is duels to the death.

That can sum up tarantino in general. once you notice what he's ripping off his hacky ways seem obvious. he's a "movie lover" in a modern era where letterbox'd shows how easy it is to become a "movie buff". i guarantee Quintin's comments would have less backlash if he said in 2017, just because of reputation and people's tolerance for celebrity nonsense back then

its like how a High fidelity type dude went from a weird flavor of autism (think bob chandler) to any human with a music streaming service and open mind being able to become that naturally.

everything you said is accurate for part 1, but there's no "duel to the death" when it comes to her dealing with Bud and the 2nd half in general is more subdued outside of that silly asian master.

One of the few good things about the third Blade movie was the physical training Jessica Biel did for her role along with mastering archery.

The plan was for duel to the death. Budd blindsided Beatrix and was assassinated later. Then, Elle lost an eye purely because Beatrix thought that it was a worse fate than dying as she wanted to avenge her master. Bill kind of blindsided Beatrix with B.B. so she blindsided him back with the technique.

Effort. Pure and simple. I would rather have muscle women around over plastic freaks that think they look good or girls with more modifications than a Primaris.

They come from a former era when people tried their best to be the best. Jen Garner also got back in shape for her cameo in DW, even when she mentioned some limitations due to her not being as young. She got toned and she still can handle those sais.

Gal Gadot looks great, but all the Amazons mog her badly because they -rightfully- cast real athletes.

Yes, Jennifer Garner looked great in DP, I think their movies were also at the tail end requiring at least the veneer of realism. Before we got to things like Kristen Stewart beating up huge guys in Charlies Angels.

Hell, in DP, Wesley Snipes looked like he could take down any other male cast member and the guy is 60. Different eras. And I mean that - Hugh Jackman might have big fucking muscles, but Snipes is the one that'd have you lying on the floor wondering where that punch comes from. The cast from those older movies just look... harder.

The cast of 2000 Charlie's Angels and even the og show look tougher as well. They at least look athletic and iicr they were former police officers.

You would think that now that we have all those action movies, we would have actresses be more willing to bulk up. Gal Gadot is very tall so more muscle should look good no matter what.

I know, I know. The Kristen Steward girls look like stick figures. The average DAD would be a tough fight for any of them.

It's not impossible to bulk up and stay ripped at the same time, but it's very hard. Hence why pro body builders and male action stars are always doing their bulk phase and cutting phase. Sometimes actresses will do this too but I think most of them are almost permanently in the mode of trying to stay thin at all times. Constantly trying to stay ready for someone to photograph them at an unflattering angle. Bless her but Sydney Sweeny of all people is one of the few I can think of who actually let herself fill out a bit whilst trying to build muscle for that boxing biopic she did.

Again, it's not impossible to gain some muscle whilst staying ripped, but it's harder. And women struggle to gain serious muscle to begin with. Also, you need good lighting or being actually present to appreciate when muscle is actually muscle and not just bulk. Those shots of Jessica Biel are all movie or publicity shots where the lighting shows off her contours and adds definition to the muscles. Not saying she doesn't have them, I'm saying that dressed ordinarily and going about, or relaxed in a dress at some event, it's quite easy for a woman to just look 'big'. Which is terrifying to a modern actress. They're mostly terrified of not being skinny enough.

Yeah, I do not think it is realistic to expect athlete level muscle 24/7 but come on! They signed for one action movie after another! Cinematic universes, series and stand alone movies that would expect them to look like they could rip a fighter in half! I know it is hard but they are supposed to be action stars! Remember Thor: Love and Thunder? Taika needed to help Portman lift the PROP! They CGI-ed the arms! At least bulk up for the movie!

Evangeline Lilly (Hope/Wasp) did bulk up for the role, even though her suit covers her fully. So did the Valkyrie negress, but who cares about that.
