The joke writes itself. Right-wing pundit shot dead. Millionare comedians most affected.

What a smug, self-righteous POS. Leftist SICKO.

BTW, I'm still pissed at Ruffalo for ruining the Mickey 13 film adaption by making the colony/cult leader (who in the book, was a clear Jim Jones-inspired parody) a lazy Trump caricature. Like, he even did a (terrible) Trump voice impression the entire film! 🤬

There goes the dumb jewish bitches chances to ever get rehired again lmao
Maybe now they can finally remove this dogshit series and make it non-canon
Thats the point. They sign contracts they will reappear for x number of properties. And the rate is baked in. Alot of these actors/actresses DONT want to come back.

Her reception plus this outburst means Marvel has reason to not try to get her to come back and recast. The downside is blackballing by Disney. The odds of that happening are real but honestly low because she did it for ideological reasons the Disney people agree with. Remember that Walden and Iger are "white" (yes Iger is a super kike but Shaniqua and them consider him white). The rank and file casting people at Disney will consider her.

Marvel Zombies is not worth your time. Read the comic(s) instead.
My friend strong armed me into watching the original episode of What If and I told him to stop bothering me about marvel TV shows because it was honestly the dumbest shit I'd watched this year

You're friends/family are all dead and dying in front of you but you keep on making jokes? I'm supposed to take this stupid shit seriously?

If you went into this not already knowing it was a zombie apocalypse you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a regular day. The way Kate Bishop dies is treated as a gag.

His actor probably won't say anything. He's been very quiet/seems to have retired from Hollywood after his nearly deadly snowplow accident.
Like Vin Diesel, he's busy hustling on his for-moms app. Dude is a schizoid freak whenever he does open his mouth, yet seemingly skates along on his "no-bullshit" attitude in interviews. ie. he is disinterested in marketing his movies.

We can see how much of the characters are gonna look, most will keep their looks. The x-men OTOH are having comic accurate costumes, at least Cyclops and Kurt.

Finally watched F4: First Steps since it's up on streaming now.

I thought it was mediocre. Nothing about it stood out or was memorable. I thought the cast sucked and none of them gave noteworthy performances; if they were to completely recast the F4 for the Doomsday movie I doubt anyone would care. Johnny and Ben both lacked a personality outside of riffing on each other and occasionally Reed. Johnny's lack of personality in particular felt weird -- making him a playboy who has an active but ultimately hollow and empty love life would have only enhanced his role in the story as he connected with the female Silver Surfer.

With Ben, they largely removed his angst over being a rock monster and he really has nothing to do for most of the movie; after he pilots the space ship he basically becomes a background character. They couldn't even bother to give him a fight scene with the Silver Surfer. Could've had him trying to stop her from destroying the teleporters while Johnny finished up his linguistic project. Instead, he's given a few completely pointless scenes revolving around his Jewish heritage, which add nothing to the film. Speaking of the linguistic stuff, it felt like make-work, something added to the plot just to give Johnny something to do, even within the film Sue tells him that Reed could easily whip something up to quickly complete it. The subplot doesn't even really mesh well with Johnny, who typically is only interested in mechanics.

Ultimately, Ben and Johnny feel like they had all the rough bits of their personalities sanded down until they were left with nothing. Even Reed felt like he had his personality sanded down, his worst character flaws of sometimes being an impatient asshole and being neglectful are largely absent.

The plot was serviceable. I did like the F4 being proactive and deciding to try to stop Galactus before he got to Earth; that whole stretch was probably the best part of the movie. The F4 basically being the world leaders was retarded and was undeniably lazy writing, likely done just to patch up possible plot holes instead of doing serious rewrites. The Silver Surfer's heel turn felt unearned, yet somehow still managed to take up a chunk of the film. The tone is also weirdly inconsistent -- they have no problem having HERBIE in the film, yet the movie feels embarrassed to have Thing shout out "It's clobberin' time!"

It also feels like it's missing an act or at least a few extra scenes. There's a scene towards the end where tensions finally boil over and they start arguing and picking at each others flaws, and it's all treated as if the stuff they're arguing about were pre-established in earlier scenes, yet they weren't. Overall the film feels hollow and like it was heavily reshot or otherwise pieced together from different versions.

It was. There was supposed to be a whole segment that I think was around 5 to 10 minutes where they fight a villain called Red Ghost, who was played by John Malkovich, that was cut.

>Karen cut Mystique
Here I thought nothing could out-do the Insomniac Wolverine.

It's late news but I came across mentions of some of the projects Marvel/Disney "suspended" earlier this year and a title that caught my attention was Terror, Inc. The first arc is great, an amazing detective/horror/noir mix (a supernatural assassin who is able to attach other peoples' body parts to himself and use their abilities, while priding himself on being a consummate professional), and the late great Jorge Zaffino's art on the first seven issues is appropriately macabre and brutal.

And there is NO WAY that DisneyPlus would have been able to do right by the character or the themes. Bullet dodged.

Looking back over the whole MCU, you can see how they were randomly grabbing at any property in the Marvel archives in faint hopes they could make something, anything out of it.

Nah, everyone likes to act like nobody knew who the Avengers were but jesus christ they all showed up in the video games, toys and cartoons of the 80's and 90's. They might have been 2nd fiddle to Spider-Man, X-Men and Hulk but they were still known.

Hollywood sucking its own dick, yet again.

You have Destin Daniel Cretton as "creator." Destin is one of those Disney hires who gets jobs exclusively because of his race. He's some flavor of asian, so they stick him on any vaguely asian production. He has a long history of producing and directing indie trash, including a film entitled "I Am Not a Hipster." He directed Shang Chi, one of the worst MCU films.

Then you have Andrew Guest as "head writer." His credits? Suburgatory, Community, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. His writing credits end in 2019. He was listed as producer on a few shows, including the awful Hawkeye Disney+ series. Oh joy.

You also have Stella Meghie as a director of two episodes. She's black and she's directed four episodes of television and a couple of black movies. No, nothing you would have heard of. More streaming indie trash.

The Disney+ welfare train keeps chugging.

Wonder Man is such a deep cut into the Marvel universe that any fans he has are undoubtedly older white dudes. I'm surprised they didn't just quietly cancel it, especially if they're planning to reboot the franchise with Avengers: Secret Wars.

This Disney+ shit seems to be running purely on momentum at this point, everything coming out are projects they greenlighted years ago (which I bet Disney is now deeply regretting), with this in particular having been in development since 2022 (possibly earlier). Also, talking about this made me remember that Iron Heart came and went with zero fanfare; I don't even think it got articles seething about entitled incel fanboys like She-Hulk got.

Not seen I Am Not a Hipster, but I loved Short Term 12 he did, and Just Mercy was okay. The weird thing is the three movies he directed before Shang-chi were not Asian-led at all, can't even remember a asian cast member in them.

But you are right, he was only hired for being asian and being someone Marvel felt they could control. His pre-MCU movies show none of the skills needed for a CGI blockbuster, but that is sadly the case for 90% of the MCU directors now. I think MCU likes doing this for marketing reasons, and the fact they have a unit that does all the action stuff anyway.

Got to disagree with Shang Chi being one of the worst, I wish it was, because that would mean MCU is better than it is.
