Honestly I'd rather people talk on the comics rather than let the thread be inactive for a month until the new slop comes outBecause /co/ died and they aren't yet officially part of the MCU (also they have their own shows and the like...)

Let's not hog this thread with the mutants. They need to be quarantined in their own thread.
I know, right? No unfunny banter or "Fantastic Four" is a dumb name!" jokes.Okay, this looks like it actually has potential.
The premise of the Defenders shows is that the conflicts are beneath the notice of big-time heroes like the Avengers. Did they even watch the original Daredevil? The biggest thing I take away from it is just how fucking retarded a lot of the vocal MCU fans are. I keep getting recommended stuff on social media and plebbit about it and it's just everyone pissing and shitting themselves that Spider-Man didn't show up. "What's Spider-Man doing during all this!?" like god dammit who gives a fuck it's a Daredevil show, just imagine he's webbing up corrupt task force niggas and being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
A lot of it is basically "Spider-Man is street level after no way home, so he should be there."The premise of the Defenders shows is that the conflicts are beneath the notice of big-time heroes like the Avengers. Did they even watch the original Daredevil?
At the same time, you have people asking why DD couldn't fight in a team against something like Thanos.A lot of it is basically "Spider-Man is street level after no way home, so he should be there."
They do know Spider-Man is active in Queens while Daredevil patrols Hell's Kitchen, right? This is why Daredevil didn't meet Luke Cage until The Defenders, because he's primarily active in Harlem. The point I'm trying to make is that NYC is big.A lot of it is basically "Spider-Man is street level after no way home, so he should be there."
There are people complaining the Defenders didn't show up in the final shot too, and I just roll my eyes. Even taking away the production reality of there being no way in hell that they would pay Ritter, Colter, Jones, Dawson and whoever else they want to show up for one scene, but there's also the fact that it is obvious that between Daredevil being like "we need an army" and them meeting at the bar it's only been like 6-8 hours tops so why the hell do they expect him to be able to round them all up in that time anyways?
IDK what I expected. This is the first major MCU thing I've watched since Endgame, but these people being the vocal fans shouldn't suprise me I guess.
None of the Defenders are in contact with the Avengers, and even if they were there, they wouldn't be able to do as much damage to Thanos as other heroes like Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel. At the same time, you have people asking why DD couldn't fight in a team against something like Thanos.
I mean, he would be useful, but I'd rather take the one who can bend reality or shoot lasers from their ass, while he stays home taking care that the world doesn't go down into chaos.
(Sorry for double post)
You mean the one part of the city with the least amount of tall buildings? Isn't he mainly known for being around midtown where all the skyscrapers are? I know when Id play spiderman 2 it was a bitch trying to move across central park. In general spiderman is completely useless in queensSpider-Man is active in Queens

I guess I assumed that was where he operated, judging from his line in Civil War.You mean the one part of the city with the least amount of tall buildings? I really wish we got more examples of that in the MCU.FTR, xmen 97 did show what the other heroes were doing while the world was falling apart. DD, Cloak, and Dagger were trying to handle the looters and Strange was at the hospital dealing with the lack of electricity. Realistically speaking, we need heroes doing that too. If I was a hero, I'd be trying to keep my district intact. Not everybody has to be the one giving Thanos the final blow.
every day, more and more, I miss my X Men 1 ballyhoo merch of a I SUPPORT SENATOR KELLY bumper sticker
I think I know.
