Do you have that clip with the adamantium reveal? I remember seeing it but I couldn't find it after.

Didn't one of the writers or a scene from a show or movie or something poke fun at fans for being confused as to why the Celestial has been ignored? It's pretty fucking weird that this country-sized humanoid is emerging from the ocean and no one seems to be talking about it in the MCU. At least last I saw.

Yeah, that's where I saw it, but it's gone now. I remember the conference had a bunch of people, but I don't recall seeing an Eternal in there.

But there can't really be one there, can there? 2 died, 1 is now a human, 1 fucked off to the Sun, 3 fucked off to space, and 3 got kidnapped by Arishem. That's all of them accounted for.

Call me crazy but I remember the movie starting with him literally digging up Wolverine's corpse because he assumed he was faking being dead after Logan while griping about Disney corporate buyouts putting his movie in development hell before brutally assaulting the time police.
 
im talking about the trailers and yes you are correct. that bit was legit disgusting and how fucked up the movie was that for me the cashgrab cameos were the best part

Yeah I'm torn. They've been cockteasing me with rulk and leader for sixteen years, but I don't give a fuck about Falcon. There's absolutely nothing interesting about him. I trudged through FatWS because I've always liked the Winter Soldier as a character, but there was nothing enjoyable about it at all -- not the politics of succession or the thinly veiled race relations, both of which reduced Bucky to a strawman at best and a yes man at worst; not the noble savage rapefugee propaganda; not the walking smear piece against white men with guns (optionally in uniform) that is John Walker; not the complete waste of Isaiah Bradley; it just sucked across the board, and this looks like more of the same, with an extra helping of either "Israel good" or "Israel bad" depending on how they use Sabra and whether the need for pro-Dem propaganda in an election year temporarily overrules Disney/Hollywood Zionism. Unless they play it like Ragnarok and use the whole thing as a trojan horse for a hulk story, I'm not going to bother.

Looks like shit. I skipped Black Widow because I can't stand Russiaboos and I get the sense that I didn't miss anything. Not going to make the same mistake I made with FatWS. RIP Bucky, sad to see you relegated to "token white guy (agreeable)".

I just watched the Deadpool movie. That shit was corny as fuck. Half the jokes revolved around knowing the producers by name, or which company owns which media properties. You niggers really like this crap?

The Eternals are probably gonna be sorta relegated to the background, which is fine by me. The comics had them be that way for 80% of their appearances. Hell, the only one that was ever relevant was Sersi, due to her status as an Avenger for a substantial amount of time.

I can see them working in Eternals stuff as implied lore, it's really a take it or leave it kinda issue. Like, the MCU has Inhumans but we never see them put in the new shows or films aside from a single Black Bolt showup. And, Ms. Marvel seems to be flipping between inhuman and mutant now?

Falcon is a C-tier hero that's best known as a decent sidekick. Before the modern era, he was known as being one of Steve's best buds and for being the guy that Henry Gyrich wanted to turn into an affirmative action hire in the 70s for the Avengers lmao.

Red Hulk is a little too late at this point IMO. He'd have been perfect back during the Civil War movie or right after it.

Thunderbolts are whatever. I did enjoy the comics so maybe I'd give it a watch. Kraven seems okay. I"m not paying for the tickets here.

MCU burning down after their last phase is kinda funny. I don't care about Deadpool and Wolverine that much, but I wager the fun of the film is offset by the amount of redditor tier "reference" humor that not even Deadpool can save.

I think DP is a fine character, but speds took his breaking the 4th wall and think it's funny to make references to ten billion things. Like fucking hell how many of them even know who Bea Arthur is?

You talking sales numbers or asking if anybody here tried it? I tried it. Barring finding it funny that she's annoyed with her teacher for not oppressing her because of her sex and race, it was pretty dire. I can't imagine many people stuck with it - she is one of the most Mary Sue of Mary Sues in comics. You could point out a lot of differences between her and Ms. Marvel but I'd say the key difference is that Kamala Khan is actually likeable.

Her dad was great. Liked both the character and the actor. A kind of Soviet knock-off Captain America who never got his shot. And Florence Pugh was actually pretty entertaining as her sister (not enough to make me watch Hawkeye, though) so would be happy to see her return. But no, you didn't miss much.

And if anyone can tell me how much the stuntman who played Task Master was I'd love to know so that I can compare it with the salary of the person who played Task Master in the 60 seconds of screen time the mask was off. Because if the stuntman isn't paid vastly more than the actress there is a major injustice there.

They don't close off the possibility of inhuman in the TV show or The Marvels, but there's nothing that would suggest it if you didn't know about Inhumans from the comics. But the word mutant is used in the TV show and there's a brief musical cue of the classic X-Men theme. Also, she never goes through some terragen gas thing / sleep thing in the TV show to get her powers, so that's another element of Inhumans ditched from the show. Frankly, I think they'd be crazy to introduce inhumans alongside mutants in the MCU. The two concepts are so close both in implementation (special DNA can give you totally random and individual power) and in thematic role (this marks you as an outsider to humanity) that they just crowd each other. Not to mention that the MCU has far fewer people with powers currently, than the comics, so TWO big new sources of powers changes the feel even more.

Reference humour is everywhere these days and ages like milk. If you watch the Harley Quinn or Kite Man cartoons (why would you?) 90% of it is pop-culture references. Kite Man even had a Brexit joke (for generous definitions of joke. In 2024!
