Does Ghost Rider pop up at all?
Nope

Punisher?
Mentioned, he was in the void but died. They use his bazooka (which makes me think he's War Journal, because of the famous parkour scene), and DP remarks that there's been so many Punishers.

I figure Blade is there more cause of Ryan Reynolds connection to Blade III than anything else as it wasn't a "Fox film"
Hollywood rumor shit, but supposedly they didn't get along. So this was a squashing of the beef of sorts.
If true.

They do make a joke of Blade going "I don't like you" and DP replying "you never did".

As much as I like Cavill he's a lawful good kind of guy, I'm not sure how he'd be playing a villain.
He played the villain in MI:2018. Or sub-villain or something. Anyway, he was a pretty good foil for Tom Cruise, and that's coming from a guy who's not the biggest Cavill fan.

Although to be fair, a lot of his menace came from his physicality, which is pretty unimportant for Doom. It would've either been an odd interpretation of the character or a serious miscast. But Cavill can definitely play a villain

Here's a controversial take on capeshit movies:

Even though The Punisher is considered to be a "tainted" character because he hasn't had a commercially successful adaptation so far, I've enjoyed literally all of the adaptations.

Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane, Ray Stevenson, Jon Bernthal ... I've liked all of them. I think that the Thomas Jane Punisher movie is actually on the upper tier of 2000's superhero fare, too. Underrated as hell!

Frank Castle is just simply too damn chad for those who enjoy goyslop. Pussies.

For me I think the Stevenson version is probably the closest we've actually gotten to comic book Frank on the big screen, at least if you like the Punisher MAX version. Just so many brutal kills and they did Jigsaw properly in the movie compared to the show, but I don't think Disney/Marvel would have the balls to go all out with something like War Zone in the main universe they created. Even when they had the Bernthal Punisher they made Frank way more subdued, not doing enough actual punishing of criminals and when he did, they sometimes went too tame and made it an off-screen kill like when Frank goes to crush the skull of the pedo at the pawn shop.

Saw Deadpool and Wolverine last night with the wife, we both loved it. Its also a bit of a nostalgia trip for us because we saw the first one on our very first date all those years ago. I only wish we could've seen it on valentines day like we did with the first one, but beggars can't be choosers. It was a nice send off to the movies we grew up with and bonded over (we're both huge X Men fans, or at least were until that god awful Apocalypse movie) and Im glad its finally ending. Not really interested in whatever comes after this though, for me the 3 Deadpool movies, Logan, DOFP, First Class, X1, 2, and 3 are a closed loop and Im content with that.

They obviously played up his accent for laughs, but even then it was a pretty good portrayal. Ryan's been campaigning for him and Snipes to get their own films over on Facebook and I hope it happens.
I've been informed that that's how actual Southern Cajuns sound...

I mostly agree with you about the cameos. While fun, they didn't have the same punch as the cameos from No Way Home. Lots of people like to pick apart No Way Home, but it's definitely a much better story than Deadpool and Wolverine. The cameos didn't feel stupid or disrespectful though, like, let's say, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. They don't get anywhere near that bad, but they are just cool cameos but not much more than beyond that.
I think the main difference between the two cameofests is that in no way home, you get the impression that the characters have been living their lives this entire time offscreen before the movie and will continue to live their lives after, making you think what they've been upto and what they have been doing and what they will do after. Tobey continued being a hero after spiderman 3, so did garfield after 2.

By contrast, in deadpool and wolverine, the characters have not been living their lives, they've been stuck in a contextless static void this entire time before this movie and will continue to be stuck in a contextless static void after.

Let's say you're a blade fan, what does this mean mean to you? Oh ok, so after trinity blade was basically stuck in complete stasis and accomplished absolutely nothing and after this movie blade will continue to be stuck in stasis and accomplish absolutely nothing for the rest of eternity.

NWH while bad did at least provide closure to garfield's spiderman and progressed his story in some capacity, deadpool and wolverine didn't.

Well, to the benefit of Deadpool and Wolverine, there is a little Easter Egg shown at the end of the movie that reveals that Gambit has gone back to his reality. And X-23 rejoins her reality by the end of the movie. There's definitely hope for a character like Blade.

If Marvel Studios is actually smart, they'll give Wesley Snipes' Blade a proper Logan-like sendoff like Ryan Reynolds is advocating for. His cameo has clearly been the one that's gone over most positively with the fans ... Come on Marvel ... Give us what we want!

And, personally, agree to disagree, but I liked No Way Home quite a bit ... It's actually my favorite of the MCU Spider-Man movies solely based on the fact that it's the first one that feels like an actual Spider-Man movie rather than an MCU/Iron Man Jr. movie. It's the only one of the Tom Holland trilogy where it feels like there's actual consequences for Peter Parker (which is a vital aspect to Spider-Man in general). And, by the end of the film, I was sold on wanting to see more of Tom Holland's Spider-Man, especially if they continue to keep him separated from the MCU in his solo movies.

Also, it's one of the few MCU movies where the plot isn't "Superhero must punch bad guy in the face to beat bad guy." Instead, it's "Let's save everyone, because it's the right thing to do." That is so in tune with what Spider-Man stands for that it makes my fangirl heart sing.

So yeah, my opinions on No Way Home are more positive than some others. I think the good stuff in that movie far outweighs its flaws (and there are flaws, don't get me wrong). I felt like the MCU finally "got" what Spider-Man was in No Way Home. I thought that the other two movies were good, but there were multiple small things that held them back from being really good or great Spider-Man movies.

After all of this time though, no Spider-Man movie will touch the greatness of what Sam Raimi did with Spider-Man 1 and 2. Still my favorite superhero movies of all time. When I saw Spider-Man 2 in theaters waaaay back in 2004, my reaction when the credits started rolling was, "So that's it, right? This is the best Spider-Man movie we'll ever get. It's literally everything I ever wanted from a Spider-Man movie." And ... Yeah, I still feel that way.

You guys do know that by continuing to consume marvel movies, your ensuing this franchise keep going on Life Support
I don't care if the MCU lives or dies. Not my problem.

I'll go see the movies that interest me, and I'll skip the ones that don't ... Just like I have been for the past 5 years.

Honestly, after seeing the cameo, I would actually approve of Henry Cavill as the new Wolverine.
It's funny because that was the whole reason he was picked. Ryan was like "ok who the hell is gonna be wolverine if we ever lose Hugh... Oh let's call up Henry!"
Kang is the epitome of all style, no substance, or tell, don't show. Like bragging how he killed a Thor in Ant-Man but then got jumped by giant super ants and got his ass kicked by Ant-Man and Wasp.
Love how that's going to be the last thing he's in. I actually dug his performance in it but just that final scene of Paul Rudd punching his ass into oblivion was amazing. It's even better with the ending were he worries he's gonna come back and then just dismisses it with a nahhh.
You could say that the Disney She-Hulk actress Tatiana Maslany is GREEN with envy and jealousy.

This hulk chick is not going to be in the next avengers. They already said they were cutting people from the old proposed avengers line up and she's not doing herself any favors. They'll keep Captain marvel over her.
I was not expecting them to treat him so seriously and not Johnny storm him.

Marvel Disney has enough juice for now to keep things interesting until after the next avengers movies. Then they are pretty much done.

I've watched some of the movies and some are ok. Despite not being a fan, I can see the appeal of movies like Civil War, IW, or Endgame. Dr. Strange is, to me, the one with the most "adult" theme, something I myself can empathize with. But as someone who was watching Keaton's Batman and Blade as a kid, I feel like I'm not the target for this because I'm not a soy-addicted manchild who can't take gory scenes.

That's why despite I like the X-Men and I liked the Fox movies, I just can't watch the MCU. Because it's obvious that Marvel/Disney is desperate for more hits like they had with the original Avengers, and they just can't. That's why they're bringing the X-Men finally... but at the same time, they're saying they're focussing on the women of the team. They just don't get it and I'm not gonna waste my time watching how my favorite characters get fucked this bad.

That would make sense. And they kind of make a reference to the drama in Blade III by having Blade point out how annoying Deadpool is and DP responses with "you would know."

Punisher is mentioned as one of the characters that got killed off by Cassandra, but no Ghost Rider. It seems the Ghost Rider movies were distributed through Columbia/Sony Pictures.
Punisher was mentioned but they never specified any kind of Punisher at all. At most Blade uses an AT4 rocket launcher (identified as being from Punisher's arsenal) to blow up a wall during the first climax of the film, but according to IMFDB the AT4 was never shown in any existing Punisher film or TV show so it's pretty much just a throwaway line.
