Absolutely incompatible and oxymoronic, but how else can you visually communicate Afrofuturism if not through savage retard caveman traits?
Like another poster here, it's basically Americans cosplaying as Africans and I recall some YouTuber refer to it as African kitsch.

My theory as to why so-called intellectuals and artists indulge in this style is the simplistic premise that Africa would have been a highly advanced utopia had Europeans not arrived on the continent. For race grifters like Ta-Nehisi Coates, I imagine it largely has to do with their wounded egos over race relations in the United States and the concept of Wakanda serves to soothe their collective butt-hurt. They want to believe that whitey put a stop to it out of jealousy for their unrecognized genius and achievements. While the continent had been home to many empires, and indeed the Mali Empire was the richest one of its time, none of them reached same level of technological advancement as Europe.

Frankly, the assertion that Wakanda was the most powerful nation on the planet in Wakanda Forever was absurd. It's just plain idiotic from both a historical and world-building perspective. Wakanda can't build EVERYTHING out of vibranium and would need to trade with the outside world for resources. Plus, it's feasible that they could they could have simply successfully resisted colonization instead of hiding themselves away. Ethiopia managed to avoid colonization in the Scramble for Africa and even repelled an Italian invasion in 1896 so there is historical precedent for that. The discovery of Vibranium could've given Wakanda the means to rapidly industrialize, making it the "Japan of East Africa" and a regional power in its own right.

But nope. Marvel wanted to be both lazy and stupid to contrive a cultural moment.

IIRC Wakanda's whole backstory was so they could have the fantastic four have a story set in the heart of exotic africa, don't blame niggers decades later for something some stuffy white guy came up with during a cigarette break 60 years ago.

I bet they'd get shit on even more for abandoning the comic canon. Having said that it probably would have been smarter to just have them isolate during ww2, say that the nazis spooked them so the country self isolated and during the war sent operatives to destroy what little was known about the country while the white man was preoccupied. and by coincidence they discover vibranium after deciding to isolate and the whole afro-futurism is a consequence of their people going a bit mad from isolation for so long.

Also need to remember Black Panther and Wakanda are the EZ mode knockoff BLACKED version of Lee Falk's 1936 the Phantom and his African country of Bangalla.

It's not blaming niggers for the idea of highly technological exotic location, but the fact they've taken it unironically into something beyond some imaginary locale

And they will never be as awesome as the Phantom.

That's why they were unable to figure out a cure for T'Challa, IMO. When their cure for everything is to take a pill of Vibranium (meaning it can be dissolved in stomach acid), they didn't bother to learn surgery or microbiology. So really, Shuri's research was hampered by having to read up on microbiology first before being able to diagnose his illness. In-universe, the reason why they still bother with Bronze Age social customs is because Vibranium made it too easy to build a civilization, so they skipped all the actual science and the philosophy needed to develop the Scientific Method. No need to learn aerodynamics, vibranium floats, no need to learn microbiology, vibranium is a panacea, no need to mix concrete, vibranium is the perfect building material, no need to learn about electricity, vibranium is a superconductor. That last one is very unsettling as they have skyscrapers and thus, uninsulated lightning rods.
Entertaining this idea, though, they didn’t need to. They could have gone to Ross and the people they made connections with on Earth. But in Wakanda Forever, it’s as though they reverted back to their isolationist stance.

AND Jamaican/Nigerian English people, from the stabby part of London (or they like to make out like they are, but were probably raised in Hammersmith, or nearby Surrey). We used to call the Jamaican ones Yardies, so I guess some of 'em would be wannabe Yardies.

I think the only proper Afro-African cast members are that bald chick with the spear, and Lupita Nyong'o. Er... WAS Lupita in at least one Black Panther film? I've never actually watched any of 'em. The only Wakanda stuff I saw was from Infinity War.

And they will never be as awesome as the Phantom.

It seems to me that Bangalla is supposed to be based on South Africa, with a tinge of Rhodesia/Zimbabwe thrown in. You know, based on the observation that The Phantom looks the opposite skin tone from. T'Challa

niggers are really retarded, okay
They got it 99% right in The Wolverine. 99%, 'cos they had South Korean-American Will yun-Lee as that archer fellow, who was Logan's love interest's ex-love interest/childhood/high school sweetheart.

The conversation probably went something like this:

Shuri: Our king is dying of a mysterious illness.
Ross: Oh, what's his T-cell count?
Shuri: What's a T-cell?
Ross: Are you serious?
Shuri: Yes I'm serious.
Ross: *sigh* It's the amount of white blood cells in the blood sample.
Shuri: White blood cells? You mean colonizer blood cells? I've never seen "white" blood.
Ross: *even more exasperated sigh* We'll send you some medical textbooks.

Watching Madame Web because I find these tedious Sony films amusing. Anyhow, the character of Amaria is played by a "Zosia Russell Mamet". Pretty sure this is a troon. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I think she's just an unfortunate looking woman. Especially with comments like: "At the 2017 Makers Conference, Mamet performed a monologue where she shared her struggle living with undiagnosed pelvic floor dysfunction for six years." Which I think is an actual woman thing. And: "'Girls' star Zosia Mamet has 'struggled with an eating disorder' since she was eight", also predominately women.

I mean her father is the Russell Greer looking human shrew (although quarter-based) David Mamet, so she's lucky she looks as good as she does. Also her mom had her in her early 40s and that never tyranny.

Also, the fact that both her parents are Hollywood types and aren't crowing about their super-brave trans child pretty much proves she's not a tranny.

Modern Marvel hates Gambit. I'm not surprised. Does he even get much screen time in the new series?
They have quite a large ensemble they are using in episodes so hard to judge off just the first two intro episodes what type of screentime he'll get. And Morph reminds me of Prototype on Star Trek so I cannot take him seriously,

Something kinda funny recently happened. Nelson Peltz is trying to win 2 seats of the Disney board. For those who don't know who is Nelson Peltz he's an activist investor, who's mainly known for being responsible for having a White Katara in the Avatar live-action by M. Night Shyamalan, played by his own daughter, Nicola Peltz (would, btw). who also played the daughter of Mark Wahlberg "Tessa" in Transformers 4: Age of Extinction.

Why is it funny? Well, he also recently questioned Kevin Feige's track record & says Disney's current strategy is 'woke'.

“Why do I have to have a Marvel that’s all women? Not that I have anything against women, but why do I have to do that? Why can’t I have Marvels that are both? Why do I need an all-Black cast?”

Disney put out their response which is an indirect roast towards a true son of Yakub such as him. But seriously, this slide is about as dishonest & manipulative as you can be while avoiding explicitly lying.

They literally have to lump Phase 3 films with Phase 4 to make them look good, & it makes them look even worse, cause those films suck too. Both of those sequels lost money. Ms. Marvel barely earned anything, & Captain Marvel had more of male presence, & any presence in general was due to Endgame connections.

Also, Wakanda Forever earned way lower than it was expected to (IIRC, it was $860m without Chinese market, but the expectation was around 1 billion on it's own). It also prove that 2 ≠ better.

Later, the goyslopping cape-shitters were dilating & later shilling Disney of all things. Reminding us that there's a reason the term "niggercattle" & "consoomers" are still relevant for a reason. Which Culture Crave Twitter is supporting, by hiding comments [GA].

Irony is, Culture Crave can get cancelled for "silencing a brown woman's voice" here.

Looks like they're going with the Exiles version of him for inspiration.

Probably a sign we'll get an episode involving him and Proteus

Apparently they've casted Julia Garner as a female Silver Surfer.

Between that and the rest of the shitty cast, they're really intent on killing interest in this before it even comes out.
