I assume America is supposed to be part of the Young Avengers, but they just kind of left her at Wong's place and forgot about her. People making line-up posts for the team forgot her too.

I don't get the idea of a young avengers team. Unless it's going to be a cartoon, you'd at most get 2 films/seasons before the team is too old to be called "young" (assuming the actors chosen aren't perpetual baby faces like Spiderman actor is). And even then you want the female and male cast to be balanced since the entire point of those younger teams is to be vehicles for shipping, but the cast seems to be nearly entirely female.

That doesn't stop lesbian shipping! Yay! they all eat carpet!

Those CW shows and the adjacent ones like Titans and Gotham had a very strong following.
The CW shows kind of prove my point: they were ridiculously low-budget (apparently The Flash had a budget of about 50 million per season) and even despite that they STILL never made a profit, and the studio was shut down as a result. Having a strong following on the Internet doesn’t mean jack if it doesn’t translate to profits.

Edit: it was even more hilarious now that I remember how rushed, mumbled and half assed the wokeness was so they could edit it out for the Chinese.
Remember the gay kiss in eternals?
It was so detached from the rest of the movie that I thought it was a joke.

It's amateurish, if not fetishistic to make a character lesbian/bisexual before even writing anything compelling about them or even try to build the relationship between characters.

Amateurish has never stopped these fuckers, bigger problem is this
Issue is, lesbian shipping is mainly appealing to creepy 30+ males (due to perceived "purity"), which is already the main group that consoom Marvel.
so they probably aren't catching much else. And well, again, of all those "young avengers" how many males are there? And we all know one is contractually obliged to be a dick sucker.

There is something specially deranged when a normal heterosexual non interacial relationship starts being considered a long shot.

Yeah yeah, not MCU, but Sony's got them by the balls with their shit connected through the multiverse, so

Straight up CW show shit

Shit like that has to be, so they can easily edit it out of the releases in "less enlightened" countries. And still make their cash (except they're skipping this part now).
That's what you get when you skip the part that you read the comics you should've adapted in order to bring iron heart to the screen in all her mary sue glory.
Or when you release super villain after the hero they were supposed to fight is gone...

I thought Madame Web was always an old bitch in a chair?

Guess I'm no true Marvel fan despite liking this shit for 30 years.
One of the many Spider-Girls (or Spider-Women, whichever it was I don't recall, but her name is Julia Carpenter) became the new Madame Web years ago
That's who they're going with for the movie

I find it very weird The Marvels genderswapped what was a male villain in the comics into an ethnic women.

You'd think an all female team of heroes beating up on a white dude would be something they'd cream their panties over.

Unless it's just straight up no men allowed now.

Marvel is the no boys allowed club. Until the cash stops coming in that is.

I agree. Maybe it's because I grew with the Spider-Man and Batman movies that it felt there was effort to make the characters feel like their original comic book counterparts. The latest media from Marvel and DC feel like, "wouldn't it be coll if we had super powers? WOSH!" Like take the latest teenage drama, add super heroes and you wouldn't notice a difference.

Well, it's Disney's Marvel so don't blame yourself.

They always felt dumb from the first series. Then there was the gay shit. Honestly, without that I don't think the team would even be remembered.

How can you ship people in current day? Is real romance even allowed at Disney today? She-hulk had Jen and Daredevil have interest in each other? But that's the only recent one I can remember and it was pretty tame.
