Tariq Nasheed was right from the start, most black people you see on m edianowadays are either non threatening business workers who date a white chick who bosses them around and has the pants on the relationship, or fucking Urkel.
Exactly. I can't believe I live in a reality where Tariq "Wipe Yo' Ass, Bussy Juice, Buck Breaking" Nasneed of all people was right. But he was absolutely right, despite his retardations. You can actually count on fingers the examples in Hollywood alone.

Even within the black community, there are frequent stereotypes. Look at BET or OWN Network and notice all these boss-chick businesswomen or successful black women, or even the exact opposite, in their works. It's all become generic. You're seeing little variety within that culture itself.

Fucking hell

So, did they ever explain why the Skrulls didn't just kidnap and replace the president? They had most of his service agents and his primary bodyguard replaced, why not just cut out the middle man?

Fury was really willing to give Gravik the powers of all the avengers (apparently Thor's powers are entirely genetic instead of magic?) and Thanos' army just on the slight chance Gaia could convince him to step down when Fury was already dismantling his plan. Dude was lucky she managed to instantly get a hold of all the powers and win.

I love how Fury is surprised that the president's reaction to a race of shapeshifters infiltrating the government and trying to wipe humanity out via world war 3 is 'Shit, we need to either kill these fuckers or get them off the planet!'

They're very inconsistent with what makes a Skrull detransform, sometimes you need to kill them and other times just cut 'em up a bit, which should make any 'No, he's the skrull!' standoffs pointless.

I think they're implying that Rhodey has been a Skrull since being hospitalized in Civil War, which is just... Sad. Who's gonna catch him up on all that's happened?

One of the more disturbing trends of the MCU is that the morality comes down to "might makes right". There is no real ideology because it wouls offend consoomers. At best there is some basic bitch humanistic ideals that are only applied when the writer in charge wants/remembers.
No wonder China likes modern capeshit, it basically validates their control on its citizens by the fact it happens.

I said before the show was more dull than bad, I was being too kind, it is both awful and dull.

No reason the show should have been made, outside Disney wants content for Disney+ yet is unable or unwilling to make fresh ips. And looking at the over $200 million budget and low viewership, thankfully Disney's milking of the MCU hasn't worked.

Rodney has indeed been a Skrull since his accident. That was not him in any movie since.

Didn't he go to Thanos' little garden planet in Endgame? With Carol too? 'Can't find any planet for the Skrulls in the entire universe' my ass.
Oh, that’s an easily solved question. You see…they didn’t plan this and only pulled it out of their ass now to make it seem like a cool twist.

Also, this.

The race / immigrant metaphor was absolutely retardedly handled in this. I have to assume the people making the show just have some default uncritical, unthought out view that illegal immigrants are good. Even when they are bad it's because they are victims.

You can't reconcile the events of the show with the message it is trying to push.

It's applying a victim hierarchy of western nations people higher than migrants. Ignoring the fact the migrants in this are space-travelling aliens. As they are a stand in for migrants, they're the victims.

It's the less advanced human's' fault they can't find a new planet. Which is retarded. The migrants have no agency or self control. When they become violent and commit crime, it is not their fault.

Even when the aliens infiltrate society and try and get humans to be genocided. It's not their fault. When human's fight back. They're the bad guys. Even though the skrulls are now causing mayhem on the street and murdering people in broad daylight.

It's such a mish-mash. Skrulls are a stand-in for conspiracy theories against the Jews. Also for Islamic extremists. As well as illegal migrants from Central and South America. As well as gang violence from those regions. Yet all victims.

Something else the show had which annoyed me was it clearly was another man hating show. Constant scenes of the woman in the room being the only good person. Or person talking sense.

How many bad racial allegories are the MCU going to force into these shows/movies? Because I swear this feels like the hundredth despite that being impossible.

So after representing coomers, now we have a reference to Gayniggers from Outer Space. I don't know bros, I'm thinking unintentionally kino.

By the way, if anyone wants to watch the actual remastered version of Gayniggers from Outer Space, here's the link.

Like uncle Yuri said, a demoralized population will love the other and hate the own...

Not just the MCU, fiction in general has been shit with it's metaphors for ages. They always forget to remember the CONTEXT of the setting before the jam in their propaganda, so they completely ignore the setting and setup of their world and go straight to just jam in their pet cause with any sort of consideration of how it actually applies to the situation.

It's "mutants just want a fair chance at life" *explosion nukes whole neighborhood while magnetic jew declares for the nth time mutant supremacy and how he will destroy all opposition* all over again

X-Men is probably the one that started the trend and it was always dumb. Even if you don't believe mutants are inherently evil, they are still a massive wildcard that can destroy everything you love in a bad day. It's completely understandable to want to, at the very least, round them up to ghettos.

I was just thinking the other day, how many times muggas have not just caused horrible damage, but actually rewritten reality, be it through reality warping powers or through time travel.
Legion tried to kill Mags in the past, fucked up, and caused the Age of Apocalypse
Wanda, manipulated by Pietro, warped reality into the House of M world (shut up I don't care about the High Evolutionary retcon, and even if she's not technically a mutant, she did it for Magneto and mutantkind)
Legion, again, warped reality into the Age of X world
X-Man warped reality into the Age of X-Man

And I'm sure there's a bunch of other uh many such cases.

Welp, now I support big robot Sentinels now.
