I believe it has been said that Star Wars was the second option and was more so supposed to be their giant general audience brand. Back in the day, Disney had the opportunity to get Harry Potter, but due to their own dickishness, they pissed off J.K. Rowling and lost the brand to Universal and Warner. They have been seething ever since, so they then decided to try and manufacture a Harry Potter. I think they believed that Star Wars was the next best thing, given that it was a pretty broad nerd IP. All that needed to be done was to get more women on board than there previously was.

As for why they are going for females, look at any boy band or even HP. Women will pay out the ass for things they like and can be absolute consoomers that even make the comic and anime weirdos seem tame.

Harry Potter was a massive brand that captured both men and women to an insane degree. All these companies are trying to manufacture their own now, not understanding that it was an anomaly and probably cannot be replicated. They just think that if they push the force or capeshit is female, it will suddenly produce a successor.

They know it but try to force ugly minority actors as if this will attract the average woman. Marvel male actors suddenly going shirtless is more egrigeous than any female fanservice.

It's correct though. Men are the absolutely worse fucking consoomers who will buy things that piss on them, so why even market it towards them if they'll buy it anyways? It's one of the reasons why media is so pozzed, there's simply no danger of losing the male audience.

Doubt it. Hollywood likes to settle things under the table, not go into lawsuits. When lawsuits do happen, you become blacklisted for life from the industry. If she plans to go on and introduce the Big Gay into another studio, she needs to quiet down and say she exited the company in good terms.

If he is indicted on assault charges then the MCU is done for. They are betting all their eggs on him as the villain, and if he's gone they can't just pull another black dude out of their asses to replace him (since all the other Kangs fucking look like him)
I betcha Disney will bribe the fuck out the judges. They need their money printer home free.
 
Looks like Hollywood's planned George Floyd stand-in turned out to be more similar that they thought.
