I've known this guy for ten years. He's a fan boy so when he posted this, I was a little surprised. I almost want to see this just to find out how bad it is.

It's because Dr Strange 2's main criticism was in the script not being polished but many people did really enjoy certain aspects of it (i.e. Sam Raimi's directing), but Thor 4 seems to suffer from pretty much embodying the worst tropes of the MCU from what I've heard.

I wonder how much of it's people coming to that conclusion themselves or a byproduct of Marvel Studios and their shills jumping on "Lmao, check out this dog shit" the day of release. Officially they did push the "it's bad on purpose" meme pretty hard.

From the leaked bits on YouTube I’ve seen, you had what could have been the foundations of a decent flick with the first few minutes with Gorr mourning his dead daughter and killing that Naga Forest God his people worshipped. Then the movie takes a nose dive into cringetopia. Korg got amped up to a 11 with his annoying jokes and narration, and those fucking goats that make that god awful ass screaming sheep noise every time they are just on screen because “lol meme culture funny.”

Oh yeah, and every god or goddess be it those of ours and any other alien peoples in the universe is a fraternity party of faggots who fuck each other and don’t give a shit about their followers.

This MCU was never good. You’re all just over easily pleased consumers who apparently can’t see that modern MCU CGI is leagues worse than that of the original Iron Man movie. These films look like garbage, and the acting is perhaps even worse. You should all be embarrassed.

People keep saying this, but Community had a joke in 2015 about Jeff Winger "not liking those boring ass Marvel movies" and Age of Ultron being "really locked in creatively", and that wasn't even the first time I had heard that as a joke. Evidently looking back at reviews it wasn't the case but I swear dismissing MCU capeshit as low-tier and mediocre was far from unheard of. That the MCU of all things was this sacred cow up until a couple of months ago is news to me.

It's less that nobody made fun of them before and more that it being the general consensus is seemingly becoming more common as Phase 4 goes along. Phase 3 hype was when it really became overbearing with no way to really escape it in nerd cycles on top of bad film critics treating it as a gold standard. Your average normie just went along with the hype since they see them as goofy movies with some cool moments you watch if nothing else is going on which might be shifting.

I guess a comparison I could make is Harry Potter jokes were always around but the association with out of touch white libs was more a later development. I'm sure people were saying that even when the books/movies were coming out but that became the default association somewhere along the line.

Hands down Bale carried every seen he was in. He gave his all and could of been a great villain in a better movie.

I'm glad this movie is getting shit on, and I hope Wakkawakka gets the boot for it and is shunted off to shit up Star Wars, which is unredeemable at this point.

Had the movie taken a serious tone and contrasted/compared Gorr's descent to death with Natalie Thortman's, you could have had a really compelling movie. Instead, Wakka Wakka had to force his shitty hipster humour into almost every scene. This is one movie I feel actually deserves a remake with a better director.
 
I'm sorry, but anyone still enjoying this shit has to be a complete retard or faggot.

Shit has been gay and/or lame since Civil War at least, and had a deep downward slope since Endgame.
