Did we find Mels burner account?

Anyway, haven’t seen Morbius myself - I can probably leech D+ off family and watch it at some point - but the fact they’re adapting Literal Who’s to keep the MCU going? Not a good sign.

Seriously, they should’ve ended it with Endgame. It tied up almost everything that needed tying up, they’re likely never going to top it financially, and they could’ve likely printed money by releasing The Infinity Saga as some $300 Collectors Edition or some shit like that every few years…
Morbius isn't part of the MCU. Sony desperately wishes he was though.

Morbius is even more pathetic than that. Sony is desperate to try and make their Spider-Man cinematic universe and cling onto the Spider-Man rights they have to milk it as much as possible even if it screws with the MCU.

Honestly things would be simpler if Sony had the rights for animated Spider-Man stuff while Disney just handled the live action side cause it’s clear Sony is incompetent as fuck.

MCU is ass, though, so who cares if Sony screws with it?

In the perfect timeline we'd be on Amazing Spider-Man 5 or 6 by now, with Shailene Woodley MJ, Emma Stone Spider-Gwen, and a busty AF Spider-Woman teaming up with Andrew, Scarlet Spider, and Felicity Jones Black Cat.

Instead we're stuck with a 40-year-old manlet, black edgy MJ, and a tubby Asian sidekick.

Isn’t the easy answer to making a Spider Man CU - god I hope Cinematic Universes die a death at some point - just “Hire Sam Rami, give him blank cheque, let him do his thing”? I’d still argue his Spiderman Trilogy as being my favourite Superhero movies, even if 3 was kinda fucky.

Then again, what else does Sony Pictures have that hasn’t been run into the ground - and in the case of Ghostbusters, attempted to be resurrected? I’ve joked that that entire branch of Sony is propped up by Spiderman and Playstation sales, it might not be that far off the mark… and it might explain why Sony keeps making their rejected movie scripts into Walking Simulators I mean Video Games…

Tom Holland is in his 20s tho. Unless you're talking about Maguire.

Sony hates when directors have their own vision and want them to basically be like how Disney treats their directors except stupider. “True Believer” Avi Arad literally threw a fit at Sam Raimi for not using his favorite super villains and tried to cram them in no matter how much sense it makes which led to the Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Sony wants their Spider-Man movies to be more like Amazing Spider-Man 2 where it’s garbage that makes the plebs clap and to sell Sony products along with other movies.

You and I both know they would NEVER leave a cash cow as big as the MCU un-milked. Just be glad that they made a really good jumping-off point at all.

Yeah and at least it allows you if you ever just don't care too much to just watch the shit that just interests you like normal movies and not keep up with everything.

That's why I'm enjoying the shows, most of them can stand on their own even with all the connections to films and such.

Missing the other busy AF Spider-Woman/Arachne before or with MILF status in the lineup.

Sony should have just dropped the villain shit entirely and started doing either Miles Morales shit or Spider-Gwen. At least then when they fucked it up they could play it off as "Nah we're not incompetent you all just hate blacks and women".
They tried that with Ghostbusters 2016. It didn't work.

IIRC, the first two films were a lot more brightly colored and then the rest of the movies had this weird grim desaturated gray palette since it was the 2000's and that was in vogue in general up until the early 2010's. I've only seen the first three films and even then, I was a kid when I last saw them so I could be wrong about that, though

But in general, a lot of movies, shows, and games in the mid or late 2000's had some kind of desaturated gray and brown look.
I'm horrified that the desaturated pallete is going on, even when it shouldn't be. It's starting to get nauseating. Almost like they want to depress you or something

It’s funny because this is LITERALLY the exact same shit as woketards praising a garbage movie because muh representation.

If your bar for liking a movie is that it’s not woke, you’re a lost cause.
THANK YOU.

There's quite a few things I like that happen to be woke. There's quite a few things I like that happen to not. Wokeness itself doesn't make or break something.

The 2000s really wanted to be more gritty and realistic, especially with its fantasy and cape movies. This can be traced back to the 90s doing, at least for capes. Batman and Robin was such a colossal misstep that movies like the X-Men and The Dark Knight Trilogy were devoid of color to not associate with camp. Fantasy movies, I have no clue why they went dark, but my guess is a mix of wanting to show off CGI’s capabilities and maybe, a huge stretch, not wanting to be like the Prequel trilogy which was full of colorful CGI Lucas would be mocked for for a decade.

Video games clearly took on the aesthetic because of a desire to show off tech and the adult sensibilities gaming can bring.

The look may have also reflected attitudes of the time as the 2000s were peak edge likely caused by a mix of anger, depression, and fear after 9/11 that left many unable to indulge in childish ventures.

Amy Pascal has clearly not learned from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and so desperately wants that Sinister Six crossover.

Even the post-credits scene with Vulture doesn't make sense in the context of the MCU. How did Toomes end up in the world of Morbius? I thought what happened in No Way Home sucked in a bunch of heroes and villains into Holland's universe.

At least have some level of competency if you really want to get on the "cinematic universe" or "shared universe" capeshit bandwagon.

It's more the "True Believer" Avi Arad given he's the head honcho with all the Spider-Man shit and was the most insistent on Venom appearing in a movie.

Yeah that's exactly the problem with it, it makes no sense in any conceivable way. Like it's likely given when Morbius was originally was supposed to come out, Toomes probably stayed there and then fucked off back to the MCU post-No Way Home but the fact this came after No Way Home should've sent a message to scrap these scenes to Sony

Sony is just comically stupid when it comes to their cinematic universes, only beaten by Warner Bros who are even dumber.

The film's target audience of children love this shit because it gives them the ability to breathlessly explain to their parents where, exactly, the movie fits the MCU+ timeline.

Come on, give Universal their deserved prize. At least Warner Bros managed to string along a cinematic universe for multiple movies. The Dark Universe has been hyped and scrapped after one film twice now.

The Dark Universe was just so forgettable that I actually forgot about it, but you're right it deserves the top spot for worst cinematic universe.
