Bit rich that Emmerich is saying that Marvel movies are ruining the industry, but then again, at least his movies have never been some "protected class" of cinema that people scream over when you consider them less than an A.
The dude just made Moonfall. It's a silly, disposable piece of popcorn entertainment that wasn't properly thought through, but at least you're allowed to say that. I can say how hammy Halle Berry's dialogue was without being told I must be a sexist/racist for wrongthink - the popular defence for a lot of Disney shit nowadays.
