From what I can tell, the third or fourth most popular Malfoid fanfic on AO3, the most actively updated one, is written by a white nationalist who posts regularly about feeling the hand of God while he writes it. It's a solid read, well done, schizo chud writer who almost certainly lurks the Farms.
Anime is just a medium. You can do anything you want with it. Just because autistic japs and shut in loser troons use it the most does not mean other people cannot.
I'd argue that there are more men on ao3 purely because smut for women is a part of mainstream, so they don't need to congregate on fanfic sites as much.
Tell that to the thousands of pooners writing self insert sicko porn on there about halo characters with secret vaginas. That's the only reason I know the site exists lol
Writing SFW straight Harry Potter stories for money may be the only situation in which a man could tell a woman that he writes fanfic and she wouldn't immediately be weirded out, actually. Maybe.
Almost certainly AI written, with a bunch of hand-tweaking here and there mostly to shoehorn in the bits he can't get the AI to write.
Leaving aside the fact that there's absoultely no way a regular person can put out that amount of material in such a short time, there's a conspicuous lack of spelling mistakes, and the bits where you just know he's went and edited something manually (mostly the blatantly fourth-wall breaking references, e.g. any "Hellfire" McGonagall" snippets) have weird formatting breaks on them.
Thing is, it's strange that romance wasn't a focus when "power of love/friendship" was such a big component in defeating the evil wizard.
I do agree with Malfoid fans when they say the fanart of her and Harry holding the wand and blasting Voldemort with it is a much better scene than anything Rowling had cooked up.
Also, they're right in other ways, like the fact she would have earned herself a few more billion dollars if she had introduced the Western normie audience to the concept of the noble ojou-sama tsundere.
I'm not sure about it. Even in the rare case that JK knew that concept even exists (that just started being in anime around the time HP started), good chances that it would have cut how much women enjoyed the franchise since that archetype is something women fucking hate. They prefer more generic women to attach project unto.
And having both boys and girls love HP is what made it a media juggernaut.

Ginny is such an extremely bland character. People don't need a self insert. They need a chacter with good and bad traits that give off a dynamic range of emotions. Then they change for the better or worse over a story line. Its this crazy thing called character development.
Bland canvases for self-insertion are easy and lazy, any midwit fiction writer can do it. It doesn't need to be a midwit move, it can be more compelling than the trope itself if you surround it with things that someone would want to insert themselves into, but the thing in isolation is a cop-out.
What's much more difficult is to make something genuinely relatable, a character that draws you into the story by expressing traits you can genuinely see within real humans rather than simply being an empty shell for the reader to inhabit. That's how you get genuine character commentary that can make coherent textual statements about people, and that's part of what makes the Malfoid thing, done well, much more compelling than the story as Rowling wrote it. It creates room for relatable personalities and character development. The naive idealist trying to learn how the world really works and what is really required to change it for the better, a self-serving cynic trying to live up to an upbringing full of unreasonable expectations, a downtrodden person trying to internalize a sense of self-worth after a life of mistreatment, a privileged person trying to internalize a sense of right and wrong after being raised on callousness and elitism, both learning that the grass isn't greener on the other side, that everyone has moral and social challenges no matter what their background was; it's all stuff that can define the life struggles of real people, and it is infinitely more compelling than blank forms titled 'hero', 'villain', 'rival', and 'love interest'.

Can't believe the Malfoid community hasn't wildly discovered this deleted scene from DH part 2 and made a slopsupposal version of it yet. A dumb scene that wasn't needed and rightfully deleted. I guess they filmed just in case the audience was too stupid to understand the Elder Wand chain of ownership.

You'd think so... but I'm pretty sure a couple years back I saw posts on tumblr about classic r63 genderbending being offensive/transphobic because if you want a male character to be female you should make them trans.
Rowling might be one of the few people the term TERF that troons love to throw around actually applies to. She is a radical feminist, with all the other associated globohomo factors attached to it. The trans exclusionary part is her only redeeming value.
Radical feminism is interesting because they are flexible. They hate men and this can lead them to becoming populist conservatives or outright communists. In the UK radical feminists populate the rightwing parties that want to reduce immigration. In browner countries they usually become communists because that ideology promises radical gender equality. In South Korea they just control both parties - with their conservatives supporting a "ministry of family" that bans porn and tries to abolish sexism in media and their leftists going all-in on DEI for women.
A lot of people think a date MUST end with backbreaking sex. It doesn't. You date to get to know someone. And if you are compatible, you get married. That is how it’s supposed to be. It's why marriage laws are so ancient, and why divorce is so high today. People didn't want to pu in the effort of self restraint and learning to love another person. They just wanted lust.
Neither were the girls in the movie. Everybody cried and made different friends and chilled out at the end lol.
A tsundere is just a mean girl that eventually chills out. It's not a Japanese concept, it's just one that they tend to favor often. Have you ever read Pride and Predjudice?
