From one girl to another, how the hell do you walk in heels without your feet hurting? Is there some kind of "heel training" I don't know about?
Break them in first by wearing your heels around the house for short periods of time with thick socks to soften the material and get your feet used to the shape. You can also use gel inserts. A good cushioned insole or gel pad under the ball of your foot absorbs shock and reduces pressure so you can last longer without pain.

What are your favorites, ladies? I have a very eczema-prone skin and the only primer I've bought was from The Ordinary that destroyed my skin after a single use :'( and caused me to avoid them altogether
I don't use primer, and I don't think it's inherently necessary as a step if you want to save money. I try and let my skincare sit for a few 20~30 minutes, which helps things from sliding around. They're just all so finicky.

Elf Poreless Putty Primer is what I use and it's pretty well-loved. Companies change formulations all the time though so make sure to read updated reviews to find out if it's still the same product it was 5 years ago.

I have been using the Benefit pore-fessional primer for years. It’s a bit pricey for a full size, so my other favorites are the elf power grip primer with niacinamide. Other than that, I think that sometimes primer is a useless step but it really depends on your skin and weather imo

I can't sing the praises of Elf Power Grip and Pore-Fessional enough! My skin is always changing from Sahara desert dry to a Texas oil field and these both work so well. As mentioned above, Pore-Fessional is pricey but good. The only place I wouldn't use it is for my eyelids when doing eyeshadow, it's far too oily for that.

On a different note, can anyone point me to the direction of red eyeshadow? I'm looking for Gerard Way "Helena" intensity but my usual go to, such as colourpop, seems to have gone the way of the Nudes Only.

Okay does anyone have a good tutorial on how to apply eyeliner

I am way too old to not have at least become passable at this. It always looks like I let a five year old apply it.
When I was young and learning I used clear scotch tape, until I got familiar enough with the shape to free hand. There’s tutorials you can find that will show you how to place it correctly

Nyx Epic Ink is a good liquid liner.
If you're looking for more traditional liners, though, I suggest L.A. Girl’s or Too Faced Waterproof Gel Liner
I second the Epic Ink suggestion. I’ve used it for years, it’s great. You do need an oil cleaner to remove it because it’s waterproof and stubborn.

can someone please recommend me a good foundation (liquid or powder i don't care) for very oily & acne prone skin? a concealer as well maybe?
i've used Tarte's Amazonian Clay foundation for years but as i've gotten older i have grown to hate the way it sits on my face. it looks so thick and cakey and it feels like shit too, i hate how thick it feels.
i'd like something relatively light feeling but still allows me to build up coverage since my skin fucking sucks and it randomly explodes with horrible acne every two weeks. any help would be appreciated ♡︎

Until the reformulation, I'd almost have suggested MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, but I haven't tried the reformulated version. Do you know which ingredients tend to make your acne go wild? That can help narrow things down. Age has vastly reduced my breakouts (just as I could really use Retin A, alas) and my oiliness, but I used to be in the same boat as you.

What are kiwi ladies' opinions on Poshmark? I'm usually leery of online resellers.
Love it, and have been using it for years. Stick to Closet, not Boutique listings, and shop carefully. Sellers aren't sending offers to something you've liked as often as they used to, but it still happens. I'm doing Depop almost as much now (mainly for shoes), though most of my clothing wardrobe comes from Poshmark.

I'm not sure what ingredients break me out tbh. I haven't worn face makeup regularly in years, i've been trying to get back into it lately and have found my current stuff just doesn't look nice on my skin anymore.
I'm pretty sure my acne is 100% hormonal because it's gotten infinitely worse since getting off birth control over a year ago. I fr haven't gone a week without getting a pimple in over a year ):
if u have any other products you suggest for oily skin pls share!! ill look into that powder foundation, thank u for the suggestion!! ♡︎

Sugarpill or Terra Moons if you’re in the US, Lethal Cosmetics if you’re in the EU, and Glaminatrix if you’re an Aussie. Anywhere else, I can’t help you.

Does anyone know where I could find some good investment peices that aren't from fast fashion places? I've been looking into a lot of companies and most of the ones I find are Fast Fashion bullshit that falls apart after 2 wears. Ive been trying to look at the local thrift but they never typically have anything in my style, and if they do, it's just ugly. Literally all I wear is midi skirts, blouses, sweatervests, slacks etc.

Nobody asked but I wanted to shill Organic Basics. I've never worn more comfortable bras and undies and bodysuits and socks. Mr Nile loves his stuff as well. I've been looking for comfortable underwear for years and am happy after finding them. Not exactly the most eye-catching undies under the sun, but they get the job done

I notice that I’m getting older, do I need to start using makeup? I don’t know how. When I apply it I feel like a clown… I have a skincare routine but not much experience with makeup. Even back in college I would just put on some eyeliner and go.

Give me some recs or roast me thx 522526bc0f0bfe3c6b14aebc1ed29766.webp
