And for longevity with your boots if you buy Ugg brand, spray something like this on the outside and let it dry before you wear them. And only wipe them off with wet cloths if you need to clean them. It’s also kiwi branded, so it’s aesthetic.
It doesn’t snow where I live, but I got this advice from people living in areas where it does snow, in order to keep their shoes in better condition.
My slippers are home wear only, but they sat in my garage for about 2 years, and still look fairly new. I just needed to wipe them down.

I bought them on Sept 29th through the UGG website and I love them. I found the spray I already had and weatherproofed them. ☺️
 
Anybody have any recommendations, short of going to a historical dressmaker, for foundation garments that are NOT primarily shapewear?

I'm after things that hide bra lines, and generally smooth out my shape but don't take ages to get in/out of or threaten my circulation. I'm in the uk and thought maybe M&S would be a good place to start but feel lost amongst all the options claiming to reshape my every attribute. I don't mind that sort of thing for a special occasion but I want something comfortable and everyday.

I'm thinking of exploring anything claiming to be more "light control" or "comfort" but perhaps I'm looking in entirely the wrong place or with the wrong keywords/terminology.

I feel like this is some ancient lost knowledge of my grandmas and I wish they were still around to ask! Sorry that young-me insisted on being such a slovenly ho, grandmama!! ❤️

What are you planning on wearing it under?
 
Thin stuff like silk tops. This time of year I live in wool skirts which tend to be thick enough to not require anything, and lined so I'm not worried about anything riding up.

I walk everywhere and am pretty physically active so I tend to wear lightweight tops so as to not overheat or feel over encumbered. However they're great at showing every seam and outline of my bra.

I guess it's could look into getting more t shirt bras. It's just that when I find comfortable ones that fit I cling onto them and dislike the gamble of shopping around for a new one.

Yesterday I knew I'd be sat around for a while so a wool cami underneath resolved the issue, but for more active days I think I'd overheat.

Or the padded version, depending on how subtle the padding is.
 
In a fit of ironic timing, the bra that is the worst offender for this had the underwire break out yesterday. If i get either bodysuit type thing and they work then I'll report back.
 
I broke down and bought the Rag and Bone wide leg Miramar sweatshirt jeans. Anybody have them, and/or know good dupes? If I love them I will probably will want more but the prices are outrageous. The dupes all look pretty bad on Amazon.

I bought XS but might need xxs, I hear you can shrink them as they are very long and I’m not tall-but I don’t want them too tight or that defeats th ed purpose., so I bought my actual size. If anybody has some let me know.
 
It's a little arts and craft but more clothing related imho -- anyone here ever get stoked over finding the perfect deadstock buttons? I pretty much hit a little jackpot and I'm super excited to wear my dress again except right now I have no reason to lmao (no need to go out and look neat). Dress came with really obnoxiously brass colored ones. I swapped them for velvet ones and now have these on there.

Aren't you afraid the body's going to be too short? I remember wearing similar stuff for gym classes as a kid and it'd get super uncomfortable around the crotch area because of that. If you're looking for non overheating types of tops, I know Uniqlo has some stuff that should keep you cool if you're out and about doing active stuff.

I'm very short so things sized for most adult women tend to be too long, if anything. These should have some stretch so it *might* be an issue but I imagine that it will be fine (not got any yet though so can't say for sure).

Right! In that case that might be something you want to keep an eye on then. There may be types that also let you adjust a bit due to having snaps at the bottom.

And this was the Uniqlo stuff I was talking about: https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/women/airism < they've got a number of types of tops and other items that should be helpful for regulating overheating.
 
I need an eyeliner that only an exorcism could remove it from my skin. I miss the KVD tattoo liner so much, it was the GOAT.
I've tried a few but none of them can survive my teary eyes; every time I laugh tears run down my face. And I don't want to spend tons of money on one that won't last. Do you have any recommendations?

The website's still up, but they went out in a blaze of customer ghosting glory and mismanagement. It's a shame, as they were great for years, but they started ghosting customers and not fulfilling orders back in 2023, and they went tits up apparently for good earlier this year.

Why does my makeup look exponentially better when I do it in my shitty webcam compared to when I do it in the mirror with good lighting? And I don't mean it looks better on the webcam, it looks better overall.

Ulta still Carries the tattoo liner! I have allergies/ watery eyes and use the Elf liquid liner without too much smearing.

Anyone have a recommendations for good shapewear? I have loose skin that I need to tuck in.

I do this for Zoom calls and everytime I step away from my PC I expect to see actual clown makeup and every single time it's some of the best I've ever done. Maybe it's something about not focusing on the details (because you can't see them anyway)? A less light hand?

Exactly! I think you cracked it. I think I put on more to show up in the camera, and it also reduces visual noise when I'm trying to find and follow the natural lines of my features. I found out the same way, too. So recently, I decided to try doing my makeup that I'd be going out with in the webcam instead of the mirror, just to see if it was a fluke, and it turned out really well. I might just start doing that regularly now.

If you’re open to gel/pot liners, Inglot are the best ones I’ve tried.
 
In case anyone has the same intrusive thoughts insatiable curiosity:

Ansell "Time-Out" surgical skin markers do not work as eyeliner, even if you carefully dry your skin first. They'll stay on your knee just fine, but on your waterline they run immediately.

I like purple
