It's up to you whether you want to wear makeup, but you could look for mineral or pressed powder (nothing heavy) to even out your skin tone. That and a little lipstick should do it.I can post a close(r) up face too. Don’t mind the iguana. Iguanas just make me really happy. View attachment 7871402
I didn't start wearing makeup (besides concealer) until I was in my mid-20s, so I missed that developmental window where it's OK to walk around looking ridiculous because nobody in your age-group knows what the hell she's doing either, and then eventually you develop fine motor skills and an eye for color palettes.I notice that I’m getting older, do I need to start using makeup? I don’t know how. When I apply it I feel like a clown… I have a skincare routine but not much experience with makeup. Even back in college I would just put on some eyeliner and go.
I think your face looks fine. Source: straight man. Pls no bane.I notice that I’m getting older, do I need to start using makeup?
I could smell the products as I was reading your post lol.No one’s asking for my recommendation on this, and skincare shouldn’t be gendered, but I use Pond’s Cold Cream a lot after I clean my face, and it’s never did me wrong.
There’s a reason why women have used it for so long. And it’s so inexpensive. I used the Coty Airspun powder for the same reason, when I still wore foundation. I was also able to find it at my local grocery store, and don’t have to go to an Ulta or Sephora for it.
If you don’t mind waiting around, I bought my Ugg fuzz slippers and boots from Amazon, when they were on sale, but still listed with the Ugg brands Amazon page, and not a third party seller.I need help with dupes. I want to get my hands on the Ugg neumel boots in black but I am curious if there’s something similar at a cheaper price. Google hasn’t been helpful.
FYI Yardley's as a brand is still actual talc.talc under my sheets
Are they? I thought they switched to cornstarch a long while ago (at least that's what the ingredients label tells me), but if they had some lawsuit about sprinkling asbestos or other fun stuff into the mix I'll just find something else.FYI Yardley's as a brand is still actual talc.
I'd switch to using their lotion/spray at night or pick a brand of dusting powder that uses cornstarch, but it's up to you how concerned you are about the Big C.
If the label says it's corn starch, you're good. I half-remembered not buying it in the past, and the label image I found on Amazon said talc, but who knows when that was updated. Are they? urgh. I dunno. I have been told that some women’s feet accommodate heels better than others, something to do with the way the bones in the forefoot are, and how your weight needs to be supported by those bones lying flat. But I’m not a foot doc so I dunno. I personally love how heels look but I struggle to walk in them. I suspect practise is key like others have said. I do have a couple of pairs of mid height heeled boots but they’re a solid heel I can manage. I think just start small and don’t go for six inch skinny stilettos all at once. And don’t walk any where long on them - there’s all day shoes and car-to/bar shoesFrom one girl to another, how the hell do you walk in heels without your feet hurting? Is there some kind of "heel training" I don't know about?
I don’t think you need it tbh. Wear sunscreen, if you needed actual makeup I’d keep it very light. Autumnal soft browns might looks nice on you. You have nice eyes - bit of eyeliner and mascara and a little brownish shadow on rhe outer upper lid if it’s a fancy event? I’m crap with makeup too though so don’t take my word for it. I’m stuck in 1992I can post a close(r) up face too. Don’t mind the iguana. Iguanas just make me really happy. View attachment 7871402
Aren't whatever alt communities mostly negative though if there's purists? I'm not touching that video either, but I've had some loli's in class when I was still in college and one of them was always showing off specifically branded tier stuff (very expensive, outfits would easily go for 500 euros or more per outfit, not counting the shoes). They would always side-eye anyone wearing knock off or unbranded but cute things because it's not on brand. I wouldn't be surprised if other random J-alt fashion branches had the same thing happening. Tbh, I even assume the TikTok goths have the same shit going too nowadays, whereas that used to be a style nobody in the style gave you shit for if you just tried to be yourself with it.This is more alt-fashion but the algorithm recommended it to me. I don't know where to put this.
I'm not familiar with japanese alt-fashion communities and I didn't watch the video (& I don't want to) but that clown tier makeup style, the nose ring and the words "toxicity of [x] community" on the thumbnail is rising some red flags for me.

My feet tend to get fucked up from normal flat shoes if i walk too much in them, so heels without platforms on the front fuck me up extra hard. I find the problem for most women to be either like mine, or not having enough calf strength to withstand the toe pointy walk and muscle strain. Most heels are uncomfortable as fuck though and will cause you pain, especially the thin heels thin front ones where your foot can keep slipping out and is bent out of shape. Some women absolutely nail suffering through the uncomfortable heels, but that could never be me.From one girl to another, how the hell do you walk in heels without your feet hurting? Your skin is good and skincare will always be more important. If you want to try out make up i would recommend: a light foundation to even out your skin tone. Apply it to your hand first, then tap it with a damp beauty blender (however much you need for the part of your face you're applying to, then you tap more for other parts). It helps with your foundation not looking cakey which was the trend like 10 years ago and we are past that. Then finish with some powder to set it in and light bronzer (contouring imo looks ridiculous unless you're an influencer with a ring light or about to be on tv). Some eyeshadow to make your eyes pop if you'd like that, and a bit of mascara.I can post a close(r) up face too. Don’t mind the iguana. Iguanas just make me really happy. View attachment 7871402
