Same, I love a massive bag. But I also love a doctor bag and that color is what I've been looking for in my next bag.

PL has larger handbags and totes, and there's a sale on right now so maybe you'll find something you like?

I've found that as long as the bag is simple and made of quality leather it will always look better than any tacky branded bag.
After I wrote my previous comment, I saw they had a larger size and bought it. So thanks!! This looks way better than my shitty Walmart purse and I'm sure will last a long longer too :) I've never had a pure white purse before though, I hope it doesn't stain easily, but at least leather is pretty easy to clean.

Also they're having a good Mother's Day Sale!

Oooh I love it! Ages ago a friend of mine had a satchel bag in that cream color and I coveted it.

I think you made a good choice! Both my mom and I have Portland Leather bags and they hold up really well.

Edit: I totally bought the bag.

Might share a imo cute trend in Japan regarding bags; behold the 痛バッグ (itabaggu) or 痛バ (itaba).

痛バッグ as a word consists of two parts, 痛い (itai, pain) and バッグ (baggu, bag). So literally pain-bag or if I had to translate it: "Cringe Bag". There are exactly two places in Japan you wear those, Ikebukuro and Akihabara, both to go shopping for cute anime/manga stuff or going to one of the many cute cafes to really escape reality into a pastel coloured, well scented dream land. I think this trend started with Fujoshi, just plastering normal bags with badges of their husbando.

However, over time they added more stuff and it became very fun to just go into stores and put all kinds of things on those bags, and it became such a nice past time that the trend transcended fujoshi-dom and became something even normal 9 to 5 office workers would do, so companies are now offering a wide arrange of blank bags with those see through plastic protectors over it. (Getting all the badges isn't easy and a lot of collectors see them as their treasure, so the added protection is welcome!)

These days they come in all shapes and sizes, like this cute little rucksack with a front protector to decorate.

Even my beloved Washi Tape can be used to decorate these and if you run around with one of those in the affore mentioned areas, sometimes other 痛バ fans will come up to you and strike a conversation on how nice your bag looks. And yes, making one is a genuinely enjoyable experience, you get to shop for cute stuff, get to be creative and can be as frilly as you want with it.

Wanted to paint some of my favorite lipstick combos, I get a lot compliments at work on my makeup which always makes me feel warm and fuzzy :heart-full:

NYX is the brand I gravitate to the most though I've added a few new ones to my collection. Big fan of matte lipstick in general.

I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils for this, Moonwalk was super hard to match the color of so I made a swatch of the actual lipstick off to the side. I actually can't find Moonwalk on Ulta anymore, it's apparently been discontinued in some places but I don't think it's gone in the US.

Has anyone and i mean Anyone tried the hair products from LUSH. I know this sounds absolutely insane but I tried their Super Milk spray and it actually does wonders. none of my other hair products compare to this (and I have a lot of Kerastase, Redken etc) and I need to know that I am not alone lol
Immediately went onto the LUSH website and was met with this.

And I totally sent it back. It was too small for my preference and the color wasn't quite what I wanted. Ah well. The search continues.

Has anyone ever bought anything from Quince? I just heard of them and they have a lot of nice-looking clothes are to my taste, made of natural fibres and modestly priced, but I'm wondering if it's too good to be true and if any other Kiwi knows more.

All I see when I visit the landing page are haircare products and soaps. Multi-million dollar companies aren't my friend and they can use earned profit as a cozy bonfire for all I care. I'm there for a product that is useful to me and you'd be hard pressed to find one that doesn't advocate for this bullshit anyway so being shocked that LUSH of all places is like this is rather ludicrous and I have to assume you're not even slightly familiar with them or even most beauty/skincare brands at all if this is worth posting to you, no offense

Quince is a "brand" that is often shilled on Nift, a worthless gift card site that peddles products onto you for free by simply existing online, i.e after buying concert tickets on ticketmaster, having a parking app, having a Tinder account, you even get harassed from them as a Planet Fitness birthday gift. It's all third-party info selling. I once got a $50 gift card for Quince from them and never used it as it required you to spend a minimum of $100. Personally wouldn't bite lol. Maybe you should browse Aritzia and look at their sale items instead, it tends to be good stuff for the most part and it matches the aesthetic you're looking for

I bought an inexpensive silk ("silk"?) blouse from them once as a gift. The transaction went fine, it arrived promptly, and the shirt was nice; I didn't test it to see if it was real silk, but it at least felt right (very similar to silk items I own), which was the priority for the recipient. The site weirds me out, though... the prices seem too good to be true? I don't know whether I'd shop there again. They also do a lot of podcast advertising, so maybe that's why I have negative vibes, despite my acceptable experience. Maybe I'm just being too suspicious??

Where do my fellow euro girlies buy their GOOD QUALITY (open toed) house slippers? Mine are falling apart and I don't want to buy those monstrosities

that seem to haunt polish stores. I'm done with slippers that last 2 weeks max, offer no support to the foot and look nasty

I’m not normally much of a lolita person but I saw this dress in a meme moodboard for a purple-and-yellow UKIP themed lolita coord on lolcow.farm in 2015 and it’s lived rent free in my head ever since. Unfortunately it seems to be the rarest variant and I never see it for sale anywhere.

Sometimes I see pretty or cool earrings and lament that I’m too much of a pussy to get my ears pierced. Then again, I also have autism/sensory issues and would also rather not find out the hard way if I inherited one of my mom’s metal allergies, so there’s that.

I also never got my ears pierced, just couldn't be bothered. I occasionally lament not being able to wear cute pairs that I see, but for the most part I don't feel like I'm missing much.

There's some neat options for non-pierced ears these days - https://www.sezane.com/us-en/product/telma-earrings/gold#size-TU

How do i work with clear band lashes? All ive been wearing for years are regular black band but ive always struggled with clear with putting them on and they always seem to poke my eye even if i cut them.

Anyone else find any subreddit based on clothing, makeup, or other similar interests turns into one giant unproductive hugbox? There are ones with specific rules like "say something nice before you offer criticism!" as if we're in kindergarten grading each other's papers. Some people just need to be told this doesn't suit you for x reason, try y.

sugarfreemua was good for this but it's private now and I don't think there's a fashion equivalent.

I never go on any makeup subreddits because 1) it's Reddit 2) they are invested with libfem handmaidens that will upvote any tranny's makeup look despite 99% looking like a boy who just raided his mother's makeup kit.

Some foundations are known for turning darker and more orange with use, it can blend pretty well when you initially put it on and then darken on your face.

i haven't used that before and don't know anything about that specific foundation. however, try mixing a bit of blue eyeshadow in to balance it out. you can also buy blue color correctors for this purpose.
