I just discovered Yesstyle. help I ended up buying all 7 of unleashia's glitter palettes for 10 dollars each haha (they ask over triple of that for one in local stores, scalpers)
Has anyome tried to Nyx IV Lip Gloss? I'm curious about trying it.
Something about them just doesn't convince me (+ their lip oils disappointed me). Get an L.A. Girl Glossy Tint instead, they're a little cheaper and the formula is one of the best I've tried (and I've tried a lot of lip stains!). Smooth, doesn't dry the lips, not sticky (feels more like a lip oil) and not patchy at all, not even when layering it. Just be careful with the colors, they're very different in promo pics vs real life.

I just looked it up and I'd have to import that brand where I live since it's American, darn. Or just hope a store that sells American brands will have it.

If I find it in the wild though I'll defintely try it out

Okay I admit I'm addicted now. I found another jacket from the same brand (AGAIN for 25 bucks). Nobody has ever worn this thing, it smells like 20 years of closet. Oh and it also looks like Max Paynes Leather Jacket
Where the hell are you finding these $25 leather jackets?

Are there bloodstains in the lining?

Question guys:
I just got into the leggings thing and I’m screwing around with sensible outfits that you can wear them with. (I don’t want to look like one of those skanks with fully sculptured ass and crotch on display.)
Aside from layering oversized tshirts/sweaters/sweatshirts with them, what else works to give leggings a well-composed and intentional look?

No but that'd make for an even more authentic Max Payne cosplay.

The black leather jacket looks and feels like it was never even worn. I'll report on the bloodstain situation with the brown one once I get it.

Oh and I got all of these off Ebay

Who was the one that posted a picture of some Girlcult glosses swatch here some time ago? I ended up buying the shades with funky colored shimmer (and a dark red that piqued my interest), two out of three shades finally arrived, and they're FUCKING GORGEOUS IRL, the dark red one is exactly the shade I've been searching for.

Which shades did you get? I got a couple of their lip products now and I generally love all of their lip glosses/stains. I ordered a matte lipstick a while ago but it hasn't arrived yet, I heard good things about their formula.
Speaking of, they have a new collection (?) now:

It's called Herbal Compendium, supposedly. I love this look so much and the all-in version comes in such a pretty box, but I see absolutely no reason to drop a couple hundred bucks for 50 shades of pink-ish lip gloss. The eyeshadows both look really fun and I'd be willing to get one of the face palettes just for the packaging alone.

>Order a travel-size set
>Get a surprise full sized product inside

Can't complain about that!

Sorry I don't know the exact names, all the sites have different translations! But they're 74, 75 and 76 in these swatches.

(got a greasy pooner tiktok jumpscare while searching for these images, fucking hell)

I was not expecting them to be so... "oily"? That's not a negative thing, they claim to be non-sticky like many other glosses but these ones actually delivered on that! Ended up getting two of those three shades I liked, just in case.

china/sinosphere adjacent kiwis: are there any good resources on traditional-inspired makeup and hair? i'm interested in doing a qi lolita look and would like some pointers/a guide/inspiration so that i can do something traditional inspired without triggering aunties or bananas. the white saviors are inevitable so i won't bother with them. i plan on wearing the look to a chinese garden in my city so i don't want to look like a jackass.

right now i'm looking at this OP, which is relatively casual and not overly showy but still has that hanfu collar. it's really cute!

i already have a pair of shoes that would look nice but other than that i know there's a fuckload of different kinds of hair accessories and ornaments. i think just a pair of low braided 'donut tails' would work, which also kind of reflects the 'fairy' hairstyles that are getting traction again in the modern sinosphere. i'm also curious about socks and what silhouettes/styles of them would work but that might be more of a lolita exclusive thing.

in terms of makeup, i like some of the traditional lip shapes that surfaced around the tang dynasty. are there a specific set of those 'between the eyebrows' flowers that you have to choose from or would it be ok to wing it going off of the dress? also considering orange eye makeup.

Never knew this was a thing until now. I got nothing to say except it's really cool
lolita has a ton of crossover styles, after getting back into it i've been branching out from just OTT sweet.

according to my little research adventure i can pretty much wing it. there aren't as many hard rules like with traditional japanese wear, and the makeup, hair and the like are more just "trends" rather than strict guidelines

Sometimes I really just want to wear skanky blue eyeshadow and a red lipstick, Blue Velvet style. Problem is, nowadays this look just looks like a 50 year old crossdresser Halloween costume hooker. How do I modernize it? Do I just slap a big wing on top of it? Wear a darker, more vampy shade of red? I have an eye shape similar to Isabella, so I don't have the space to get crazy with my eyeshadow/eyeliner.

I like to wear sweater dresses with them, also try adding leg warmers

What about a bit of a gradient on the top half of the blue, like a grey or a lighter blue?

Something like this from the 1960s, which was probably what crossdressing elderly hookers were trying to emulate with facepaint.

Man, something about all the blue in 60's makeup and fashion really stands out even today.

My mom used to tell a story about her high school retail job: the boss walked in one day when all the teenage clerks happened to be wearing green eyeshadow, and said "jeez, gotta check on the cooler; the girls are starting to mildew."
