The bunker theory is a fun one, but you're probably right. People with poorer quality skills, more progressive politics, and who are louder about their grievances have infected too many places (movies, gaming, etc.), and pushing back against them can make you a pariah. This could become unsustainable, forcing industries to "pivot to profit" and make nostalgia bait for the chuds, but the magic of Hollywood accounting allows them to tolerate a certain amount of failures by writing them off. Money laundering could help sustain the machine forever, until new generations are far lefter and gayer.

On the other hand maybe Disclosure is right around the corner, the extraterrestrials are invading in 2027, and you will wish that you had converted your worthless paper and electronic money into food and supplies for your bunker. Get to the prepper board immediately.

I remember some comedian on some podcast who worked on Hollywood sets say that some casting director hired someone just because the person applying made a 'fuck trump' type of tweet. That whole industry is a cult, no wonder Scientology took off there.

For Disney specifically, it's probably a number of things. Like a combination of: nepotism, hiring cheap labor (fresh grads with no work or life experience), boomer studio executives that don't even care if the movie sucks they just need to make something that year involving emojis or whatever, consultancy groups changing everything during mid-production and the Hollywood culture where everyone fails upwards that has gone on for way too long. Oh, and no one questions those that are in charge. I've met some film set crewmembers before who all had this attitude where if an A-lister celebrity or director interacted with them they would drop on all fours and kiss the ground they had just walked on. Disney employees must be no different where they'll be like "I work at DISNEY!

As if that's the best thing anyone ever gets to do.

(I also have a nutty conspiracy theory that some really rich insiders with privileged intel started to short Disney stock once they started mass producing crappy products but that's just my imagination running wild. It would at least explain why they haven't pulled up after landing face-first into the terrain)

They aren't just hiring their friends because they are generous friends, they are hiring their friends because they have an executive or owners stake in the production companies that they are hiring. When schlomo makes his gay interracial take on Martin Luther or dem rangs of powa, the investor money is "spent" on hiring a production company that he makes money on. Every million dollars of investor funds he is able to direct as a contract mostly then goes to him through moshe who's job it is to engineer sunk cost fallacy and budget overruns. Schlomo's incentive has nothing to do with the success of the movie, and everything to do with cramming infinity niggers and fags into it as a way of securing more rounds of investor liquidity as that's what he can then hire "moshe's" company for more padded expenses. Rinse, lather, and repeat.

I don't think the CEO is even aware of most of it, and even if they are, most CEOs and executives can fuck up royally and still come out with a job the next week that pays just as much. Just look at anyone who avoided prison in any massive collapse and most of them are still doing their thing under a different name. Dick Fuld, the CEO of Lehman Brother's is still managing funds, Jeffery Skilling who got out of prison for Enron in 2019 launched a new gas and oil trading company in 2020, Edward Lampert who killed Sears finally is still running his fund, Nick Leeson the guy who brought down Barings Bank, the one the queen of England used, is now out and about doing book tours and running his own company. The list goes on forever.

I think most CEOs know they will be fine regardless and can only manage so much in a company, and once that company begins to rot from within there's little a CEO can do if it wasn't stopped early enough. Even Steve Jobs was kicked out of Apple by the guy who he brought on specifically from Pepsi, the same is true with multiple people at Paypal, including Musk who ousted another CEO only be ousted himself. So CEOs aren't planning some bunker war, they just don't care and if anything I'd say the employees are the looters, not in the way you're making it out to be, but in the way that they don't give a fuck about Disney, or whatever, they just view it as a way to push their shitty ideas to the public. A great example being the new Scooby Doo series which doesn't include Scooby Doo because they wanted to make their own show but weren't allowed to without tying it to an existing IP so they skinwalked one with no care for the original IP. Or the Pickle Rick show where one of the writers admitted a therapist character that "totally schooled" the white male Rick character was a self insert of herself.

Edit: Actually, thinking about it, this is why so many big companies probably have some form of decimation. It's because the rot is almost impossible to root out once it sets in and it's hard to notice before it's too late. The problem is most did a quantifiable version of it so those who gamed the system benefitted but those who played fair were punished. Amazon is constantly criticized that they try to get rid of people before the three year mark as a way to keep them from gaining a part of their vested stock, but Amazon has said as that's when people become complacent. I would not be surprised if the rotation at Amazon was a mix of saving money and trying to keep these cancerous cultures from taking too much root without notice.
