I assume Chris wouldn't buy as much stuff as you're limited to what you have in your room of the home. Much like everything else, professional institutions are doing better than what Borb did; they let Chris spend like crazy. The home would put a stop to that.

That and the home would be taking a cut of his tugboat for room and board.

The kind of home he would have to be put in would feed him three times a day.

But yes, he would be stopped from irresponsible spending and behaviors.

He could restart it. It's not a punishment for being convicted, just a pause because he's already being supported by the government in jail.

His life is miserable because of his maladaptive daydreaming.
I thought the tug boat can only be stopped by actual conviction

Chris is entitled to his tugboat until he is convicted and spends 30 days incarcerated POST-CONVICTION. Theoretically he should still be receiving his tugboat even now.

@A-№1 has pointed out that in his experience, inmates frequently have their tugboat shut off regardless, because the jail fails to differentiate between inmates post-conviction and inmates pre-conviction when reporting to the SSA. This is because *most* people bail out pre-conviction.

However Chris is still entitled to that money, so even if his tugboat was mistakenly suspended, he can file with the SSA to receive the back pay for the months he was incarcerated pre-conviction.

If CVRJ did not fuck up on its reporting, Chris' bank account should be still receiving his tugboat every month, up until now.

If you search ‘tugboat’ by member Pointless Sperg, it is all explained by them.

It’s a shame those foul and insidious Troons, Keffals the cheap low rent porn “star” and Fong Jones, blockfaced rapist predatory tech frippery, scared Pointless Sperg away with their harassment and slander campaign.

We were speculating about the mental institution because if you're in one of those, usually it is suspended for the duration (after a certain variable period of time).

The Virginia statute designates the legal range of time that Chris will be in jail. I'm predicting that he's going to get five years. Maybe Barb will too, but we know very little about her side of the story, so I have no idea unless we get more information such as court transcripts.

I believe that the five years will drastically change Chris. He/She will not be the same. I think we're going to see someone very different. I know that we'd all be changed by that length of time, but this isn't Kyle from PKA. This is someone who has mental difficulty figuring it out. After his release, I believe that Chris will have Christorians after him for information about the experience, and those following just to keep up, not unlike Terry A Davis when he was homeless.

I think Chris is going to be really screwed after prison, because he likely won't have a house, any deep talent, any real-world job experience, and he's banned from all popular sources of Internet subscriptions. Someone might suggest Gumroad or he could scrape by somewhere else, but most likely he's going to end up in a special program doing entry-level work. He won't have any toys or much free time, and I believe that he'll be involuntarily inactive on the Internet due to that situation.

We'll have several years of no news, and then a completely different and much more sad and serious saga ahead.
The Mule for the Mexican Mafia arc begins

taking away his mental escape could destroy him.
Ophelia, escapism is extremely common in those who feel chronically abused. Forcing someone to come to terms can be healthy, but it can also be extremely dangerous. It's often too risky a route to try without years of building up a support system.
Does anyone know if "Tugboats" are affected by convicted felon status in Virginia? I know some states limit social programs to those who are convicted felons.
Chris has the potential to lose his benefits only while in prison or while in mental rehabilitation.
1. Chris is a lifer, he has repeatedly shown he has no chance for rehabilitation.
2. The documentation provided by the incarceration for his mental health would only reinforce "his inability to get gainful employment" (<-- this is the only thing that matters with disability, nothing else matters. Not one single thing. Can you work and make above X dollars per month. yes or no.)
Chris is not going to lose his tugboat, at-least not the potential to have it.
What he risk more is his ability to ever use it, as he may be forced into housing or facility.
Where all his needs are given to him and therefore he has no need for financial assistance.

When the forums and update chat became nonstop sperging about trans people, it was intolerable. I don’t blame him for leaving. It’s a bummer, though. He’s great at research.

My ideal for Chris is a strict home where he still has limited and monitored internet. I want most of his tugboat to pay for it and I want him to be forced to do chores. I know this is optimistic, but it’s the holidays.

Basically the same.
I'm team Alec Benson Leary.
I wanted Chris to realize it's okay to scrap his original series. Learn new techniques and write a new Sonichu comic with the knowledge and skill he honed. A few chores added in.
Bam I would of been completely content with his character growth from that.

I remember he was threatening to reboot the series in Sonichu 10 or 11, which would've legitimately been a good writing decision with how convoluted and chaotic the series got at 10. Unfortunately Chris' delusions would never let him just reboot the series because "the universe is real believe in the OCs", and he went full steam ahead into making the comics even more chaotic and nonsensical because he writes for himself.
Wonder if Chris will ever write another actual comic again or just continue to dick around. Anything he did write would probably just be unintelligible dribble though.

I don't think he could personally. I've seen people years between drawings pick up a pencil like it never left. It's a very tactile skill and doesn't seem to diminish. So I'm sure Chris could always draw something in some regard.
Writing on the other hand uses an absurd amount of mental facility. Constant referencing (and note organization), imagination, long term planning, facilitating real emotions into your characters, gosh it goes on and on. It really doesn't seem to me like a skill that gets better with age.
I might be projecting a bit so excuse me, but even my own favorite authors (Heinlein, Herbert, King, Lovecraft) while having some great ideas in later works had an obvious decline in total enjoyment especially compared to earlier works. While I can reference many artist that got better as they aged, even into extreme age (Francisco Goya, Andrew Wyeth, N. C. Wyeth that I like personally).
Chris was already not very good at doing anything related to writing, let alone he hasn't done anything to improve, let alone he is obviously at the age where mental facilities are diminishing, let alone his extremely unhealthy lifestyle furthering this diminishing.

I wish man, I really wish he would of listened to Alec.
I do not think Chris can do it at this point.
Let's not forget that both hormone therapy medications that I know Chris was taking also effectively make you retarded and this is somewhat permanent. As years of using either will alter your Synaptogenesis formation.

His life is so fucking miserable, taking away his mental escape could destroy him.
Given Chris and his mentality, I have an inkling of how he will react once his coping is taken away from him. Like most kids in the age range of 3-8, once a physical object, a toy is taken away from them, they'll react with hyperactive anger; start crying and even go on the attack - even punch something. I'm surprised Chris didn't go full ham in his arraignment when he told the judge he wanted to have access to his toys, resulting in being restrained. Chris' toys are one thing, but his mental escape/day dreaming are different, and may have a different outcome. It's unhealthy in the first place. If Chris continues down this path, he might be convinced to stop bullets using his 'powers'.

I'd rather take away Chris' coping just for him to sperg out to the point he may become mute again rather than play along with him. Nobody (except weens) have time for that, and any professional worth their salt can only play into Chris' delusions for so far.
Plus the tax dollars that it has cost so far to keep him in jail, hospital and the court appointments.
If the people of VA hate Chris for his 'trans status', then they'll hate him even more that their tax dollars went into his spending habits (they probably started to after Chris was showcased on Fox News), and now they have to take care of the local deviant who diddled his mother for the rest of his life.

rather than play along with him.
Vocal minority, he will still keep complaining even if no one listens.
He will actually blame platforms for not hosting his issues in the spotlight. Something we have seen regularly throughout social media and has an almost fundamental counteraction to what the original goal was.

Is Chris really old enough for his mind to start naturally going? He might be much older than he acts but that doesn't mean he's some senile old coot that doesn't even remember what a adjective is.
The biggest issue of Chris' writing is that he writes for himself, especially in the modern times. Skipping the obvious self insert Mary Sue who solves all problems, he is always focusing on what interests him, and doesn't bother trying to have things make sense for the reader. He understands his world and knows all the information, and that's good enough for him.

Tard brains without social interactions and stimuli can go rotten. It’s not so much about his age.

Take a look at what Synaptogenesis really is.
It's fundamentally who you are as a person. Let's break this down.
Every few years your body completely cycles through its cells, in this way the brain itself must reinforce the connections that allow you to be who you are and do what you do. If you do not reinforce these connections the body will simply absorb the tissue that made said connections and you can literally lose the ability to do certain things (not using your imagination leads to no imagination) on the other hand you can slowly strengthen these connections (muscle memory, heightened senses upon losing one sense).
After 25 this process slows down a lot though, which is why it's important to somewhat be broad in your teachings with children. As this is the age they will make the most connections. Afterwords the saying "can't teach an old dog new tricks" is partially true. It's not that you can't, it's simply not worth your time unless you really really want that new connection.
So the brain replaces its synapse, the act of using your hand is not lost because you use your hand daily. the replaced synapse connection is quickly stimulated and the connection reinforced.
However you do not run for years, you pick it up a decade later. Can you still run? yeah sure, but can you run as efficiently as you once did? No, you've lost some of the connections that regulated efficiency of breathing, muscle movement, arm movement, etc. It will take months/years to increase those bonds again and even at that point they will never be truly the same pathways that you once had. It's not physically possible as the brain has had to create new pathways in order to make said connection.
Citations for this include stroke victims, TBIs, etc.
Now apply this to Chris.
He is lethargic, he uses his skills sparingly and while it might be enough to keep a connection it was not enough to create new connections needed to better oneself in a skill.
He is at an age where Synaptogenesis is slowing down even more. His lifestyle and health further diminish his ability to successfully heal his brain.
Most importantly he has been using synthetic/natural drugs that actually hinder intelligence and further lethargy. Only weakening those connections year after year even more.
There is little direct correlation with IQ and estrogen abuse. However there is high correlation with lack of ability to focus and estrogen abuse. Which as years go on would prevent you from being able to make those meaningful connections we discussed. Directly preventing you from bettering yourself and indirectly lowering your intelligence from very very slow loss of these connections.
Remember how Chris is always talking about "foggy memory, my thoughts have left" that's estrogen abuse.

TLDR
Can someone learn a new skill or better their skillset? yeah
Does it require more effort as you get older? oh yeah.
Can you make things worse with your personal choices in this process? yes again.
The main argument here is Chris will do everything to reinforce those "feel good" connections and will do everything he can to not put the work in to his "bettering or forming new connections."
Age/Health is a factor simply because of the natural diminishing of the human body. It doesn't always have to be as extreme as I'm making it sound, but all humans have been proven to lose synaptogenesis ability as we age.

Can't say I blame Pointless Sperg for getting scared in the first place. He's a lawyer IRL, IIRC. He'd have a lot to lose.

Why would he have a lot to loose if he was?
If sperg has some sort of important or court adjacent job (even just a stenographer or paralegal), being associated with what has been deemed a hate site could damage his image and put his career in jeopardy. That being said, I believe he said he left because he was only here for Chris-Chan, and the drama from the rest of the site was too much for him to deal with.
