You have to wonder about Chris's mindset with that as in what did he think. He did it quickly, thinking that Meagan would shoot him for some reason, but what if he didn't learn that? What was his overall plan? And why Barb?

im guessing he was wanting to try to reconnect with her. starting form the time of his HS reunion he started to get very nostalgic for the old days. he made plenty of videos and messages where you can clearly see he is lonely and wants to have irl friends again. so that would be my guess with megan, he wants to go back to being irl friends.

as for why barb, well this is chris. barb is his over bearing mother whom he turns to when he feels he isnt able to handle the situation. see the phone call where he argued with kacy and liquid and when it became too much he gave the phone to barb to handle it. my guess is he wanted barb there so she could handle the situation for him.

Chris has that impulsive pre-pubescent mindset where there's no real deep thought going on. He just associates his time with Megan as a time that he had a girl to woo, like with his gal-pals in high school.

This, but I can imagine a slightly perverted motive: Barbara vs. Meghan in a sexy catfight or a sexy pillow fight with negligee due to the "Lesbian Soul" ideology.
Realistically though: He still believed that GamePlace Conspiracy theory that mommy of the four centuries fed him and Chris wanted Barbara perhaps to play as a "mediator" to peacefully hash it out. But with Barbara Weston Chandler's volatile temper/overbearing Helicopter smothering....

That is the CWC way. When things get tuff instead of facing the problem himself like an adult, Chris runs away with his metaphorical tail between his legs and expects his parents to handle it for him.
