They were in an official romantic relationship for a time.
The open relationship was Chris's idea.
Chris felt that, as a male, he couldn't satisfy Catie sexually, so he was OK with her fucking other guys as long as Catie took care of him and paid the bills.
God it's like that episode of Sanford and Son when Fred "finds out" he's part Jewish, and starts eating gefilte fish.Well, Chris has been bringing up the "royalty" thing; an idea which was, no doubt planted by Barb.
I also think that this may be why Chris is suddenly peppering his speech with Brigish colloquialisms. Maybe he thinks it makes him seem more classy/regal or something.
The real question is whether Chris is just desperate or is actually into cuckolding.Chris felt that, as a male, he couldn't satisfy Catie sexually, so he was OK with her fucking other guys as long as Catie took care of him and paid the bills.

So Barb was talking about experiences with herself? My mother, even theorized, from her experiences and observations of manipulative and bad people...
So Barb was talking about experiences with herself?
Chris mentions that he "tried religion". Does this mean he has given up on GodBear for not delivering to Chris a "Sweetheart from the Ground-Up"? Marivn mentioned once that one of the reasons Chris doesn't go to church anymore is because the church hasn't delivered on a sweetheart.
Barb. You forgot Barb.

Also, "The Bonus Round" makes a comeback.
I thought Chris said he hated his duck. Why would he be bragging about it? Just in case?
Well, it's more that church isn't benefiting him and it's not worth the cost of the gas to drive there every week.Chris mentions having "tried religion". It's one more thing he's trying to cash in on.I thought Chris said he hated his duck. Why would he be bragging about it? Just in case?
As a wedding ring I assume...
I completely disagree with you, but I still had to rate your post as Winner just for that.
Yeah, that's my point. Probably preaching to the choir here, but -- barring injury or specific brain-damaging illnesses, a 32-year-old should be in the prime of their neurological life. Chris is unquestionably mentally ill, but none of the mental issues he has would cause him to start losing functions with age this early (or possibly ever? I don't know the prognosis of adult autism in this regard).Bob was virile up to all sorts of shit at 32! If he didn't live in a barb and bug infested environment, and wasn't drug down by those two, he'd probably have made it to 100.
And I was just joking! He really did go full insane. That's exactly what Chris meant it to be. He even went so far as to create a set of "Relationship Vows" (basically wedding vows) which he demanded that Catie sign. (Keep in mind that this was only about a month into their "relationship").
Chris also wrote these vows without soliciting any input from Catie. He just expected her to sign them without question or reservation.
