I remember seeing the Verum Rex fake trailer in 3 and I was like "shit, make that game instead." Well, I guess that's what 4 will be. Nomura still salty about how much of a struggle it was to release XV.

It looks more realistic. I sort of wonder what that means?

Was it wrong to immediately think Marvel will be a thing, as I thought the city location and graphics were gearing Sora up for that? I was honestly anticipating Iron-Man or Spider-Man to swoop in and fight the monster.
 
Wasn't KH3 supposed to be done with all the faggots in black robes minus Xigbar/Luxu?

Also idk how I feel about the whole "realistic" look, unless it's only for that specific city world. Shit is giving me FF7 remake vibes, and that's not a good thing.
 
People have said they can see an AT-ST's foot (from behind) in the trailer. Not sure if I can see that exactly, but judge for yourself.

It's never gonna happen, but I hope they drop the disney/consoomer worlds. They add nothing and take up enormous amounts of screen time that could actually be spent developing the real story and characters.

As much as I enjoy the gameplay, it's always, ALWAYS the Disney shit that stops my playthroughs. It's just too much cringe to take remotely serious in any way, shape or form when you throw it in top of Final Fantasy. Yes, yes I can totally buy this serious discussion about the heart and the nature of evil while Donald, Goofy and fucking Mickey provide commentary in the background.

I think he's going to be put in some real life situations that will really test him. I saw hints of it creep up here and there, but when he's away from his friends, he's at his most compromised.

With how little Disney was in the trailer, I'm hoping (a futile attempt) that KH is going to distance itself from Disney as much as it can without making fans screech and fulfilling whatever contract Square Enix has with them. And hopefully the realistic look is just for Quadratum and the potential live action worlds like Star Wars, but I know better than to have any kind of expectations for this batshit series at this point

Disney content is a money-spinner for all involved, so I don't expect them to leave anytime soon. I just hope the worlds are more fleshed out like they were in III.

I firmly believe the worlds will be as little disney as possible, but we'll still have a couple major players like mickey and malificent.


I was very surprised Nomrua brought back Hades at the end. James Woods loves the shit out of the role so he's guaranteed for a comeback.



My wish is he goes nuts in the real world last action hero style.

It was "the last one" in the "dark seeker arc." I think it said it at the end of KH3 which kinda made my guts churn knowing there would be a sequel sooner rather than later.

Gut feeling: There will be Disney shit. It'll just be shit you've never heard of which will be worse. They used up all the classics.
 
Hopefully we learn sooner rather than later what role Disney stuff will have in this one. I'm not sure if I want them to toss it completely in favor of god-knows-what, though.
As for "the last one", I'm not really bothered. Especially since we're still not at the ideal endpoint.
 
I am just going to go all in and predict the worlds. I am going to take a guess and say that this title will dive heavily into Disney’s acquired properties or live action. I have no evidence as to why, but I cannot see them doing too many Disney classics since 3 was already delving into Pixar and they are running low on classic worlds.
  • New York (Marvel)
  • Endor/Death Star (Star Wars)
  • Springfield (Simpsons)
  • Metroville/Nomanisan Island (Incredibles)
  • More Pirates because fuck it
  • More Toy Story as Nomrua had wanted it for decades.
  • Modrigal’s House (Encanto)
  • Winnie The Pooh or Hercules again
I feel like these worlds make the most sense. Marvel will definitely have a giant city theme, so New York being the hub of heroes makes sense. From screenshots above, it looks like Endor would be the Star Wars theme, but I included the Death Star because duh. Incredibles is really the only Pixar film left that would be big enough/flexible enough to handle a world. Nemo has the popularity, but doesn’t have the flexibility to work in game, while other Pixar themes are much lower popularity. Pirates of The Caribbean is tradition and so are Hercules and Pooh. I feel like one modern Disney film will appear from after Big Hero 6, so that leaves Zootopia, Moana, and Encanto as the only ones I believe are big enough to make it, and out of the three Encanto will probably win. Toy Story still has 3 movies left for content and was Nomrua’s favorite, so I doubt he will let it go. As for Simpsons, I am just throwing it in as it was a big property Disney acquired that could be thrusted in.
