ahhhh i dont know how i forgot this. i havent rewatched that doc in a hot minute. i dont know, i think part of me just didnt love the docs. i liked the unique perspectives we got of josh just living his life but i didnt like that not a single doc really got anywhere. i dont think there was much of a point to be made in the first place but i just felt like there wasnt much planning or care for the fact that josh is just some dude
The first documentary by Trapped is the only good one.

Nausea can be a symptom of a heart attack.
And sweating and feeling clammy, which Cobes was also complaining of. FYI, though (to the thread in general, not you specifically), an autopsy/cause of death will only list the one most likely contributing factor to the decedent's expiration, even if there were comorbidities/other contributing factors. Source: I was legal next of kin decision maker for a friend with ARDS, sepsis, liver failure, and something else with an equal chance of killing them I can't remember at this point, but the coroner ended up listing just the acute liver failure as the cause of death. This might be the case with Cobes.

I think it's possible the heart attack was a secondary event due to something else due to the symptoms he was reporting. However it could have been just an atypical presentation. It would be nice to know but in the case of a heavy smoker, chronic alcoholic with teeth disease a heart attack is definitely possible. It's just his age that throws me off and makes me want to dig in a little more.
Cobra was born premature and we know he had lung issues because of it, it may have been a similar situation with his heart.

His death sentence started when he was removed from his first apartment which removed him from walking distance from town, friends, chance of employment, and stores.

Don't kid yourself, he wasn't thriving in the apartment. He wasn't walking to town, visiting friends apartments, or putting out job applications. He stopped making wands, started eating cat food and bugs, and never left the house. Getting Jessica involved was a symptom of his downward spiral, not the cause of it. I thought maybe the mead saga would have been a turning point, showing him he can actually do things and make stuff, but that didn't happen.

Cobes had nothing going for him at the apartment, except for some semblances of independence. After getting kicked out, he had to accept help from Clint by moving into the trailer, taking away the last thing he could be proud of. He had to live by dad's rules again, which couldn't have been easy due to Cobes ODD. His teeth went to total shit and weens started frequently sending him tons hard liquor, instead of just the usual bales of straw and sauce sandwiches.

It's a lot like flying a plane with no engines. As long as you mantain airspeed, you'll be able to glide and stay aloft. Once you lose that momentum, it's straight down into the ground.

RIP to a real one. Not sure if I want the toxicology report to come back clean or or not. Would love to see NAL get dragged through the legal process, but also don't want Clint to have to deal with that shit.

Literally everything about his lifestyle would be a contributor to a heart attack.

Smoking, drinking, duster huffing, god awful diet, no oral hygiene, no physical exercise outside of jerking off, troll slaying. It's a miracle he even lived to 34.
Alcs can live a long, long time and be in much worse shape than cobes. Of course his lifestyle is the most likely cause, but I don't put anything past NAL.

You're talking about the second apartment far into his death spiral already. I'm talking about his first apartment, the one where he constantly had friends and roomates staying over, where he walked into town almost every day, before paypigs kept him flush in booze and doordash money and he could only afford to walk into town and get a couple of beers. Your timeline is fucked.

If Cobes didn't stop riding his bike it was literally a 5 minute ride from his Conquistador apartment complex to an intersection with tons of stores and things to do. He was not in the middle of nowhere at all. Shit if he had to it was only a 20 minute walk there and 20 back. He was just really lazy and too drunk to do much.
ride bike.webp

hit if he had to it was only a 20 minute walk there and 20 back
Yea he wasn't very far away, but for a lazy tard it was far enough that walking 40 minutes in the Wyoming winter was not worth it. I'm not saying it was entirely the location, the main thing was paypigs keeping him flush, but it certainly contributed to it. It made it easier to spend a little more paypig money on delivery than taking the hike to get a few more beers or a second pack of cigarettes.

Cobes' death was a long time coming, but if I had to pick a precise moment it went for the worse, I'd like to bring up a particular point in history when Josh was out having taco bell with Sicko Steve and his hostage wife. Josh is eating there, having a ball, talking about his job opportunity hauling scrap when a staff member he knew(who was an alive, of-age consenting girl) came up and asked him how he had been, and Josh goes "Yeah doodt, I got fired from Wendy's due to my YouToob Troles, that's not what's up" and she straight up tells him to put an application in to Taco Bell, because he would be hired no problem. And at that precise moment in time we went down the wrong path, because instead of going "Yeah doodt you're right, this whole scrap thing isn't the most sustainable, and I can get back into my previous groove without any problems! It'll be back to Cobra Business, that's most definitely what's up!" he went "I'll think about doing it" and never did. Everything else past then was a slow decline into death. A death by inches...

Just saw this on Facebook. Clint says he was told it was a heart attack.

Huh. I wonder if the heart attack has contributory factors, such as myocarditis or sepsis. His symptoms didn't match an acute MI at all. Also, he has no history of complaining of symptoms of angina (shortness of breath/chest pain on exertion/etc...). For an MI to come out of nowhere would be very odd unless he had some really major risk factors that were unknown. Electrolyte derangement related to gastroenteritis usually takes days upon days of something like norovirus, of constant and thorough dehydration, and even then, ones system have to be in poor shape.

The only 34 year olds that I know that have died of an MI all had well documented major risk factors and/or weighed 400+ lbs.

His body was probably in a constant state of dehydration trying to metabolize giant bottles of everclear and get rid of excess salt from his junk food diet.
I doubt we'll get any detailed information from the toxicology report, but I'd be very curious to see what his blood alcohol level was at time of death.

I think even if Josh had lived in the middle of the city the paypig doordashing and being blackout all the time would have stopped him from going out anyways.

This was one of my first thoughts after the last video and his proceeding demise, I wonder if he still tried to drink even with how horrid he was feeling. So, so sad and depressing.

Yeah, BAC will definitely be one of the first things in the report. Not sure if they will release that or not though. But the fact they’re running a full panel means they’re looking past just alcohol. If it was only booze, they wouldn’t need weeks of testing trying to find a root cause. I am not saying it was foul play, it could be drugs, high levels of alcohol, or food poisoning. I think if he had some kind of catastrophic medical cause they would've mentioned that to clint and not bothered running weeks of tests. We'll see what happens.

Im not handling any of this well, Cobros. Fuck.

Is there any likely correlation between his kratom use and his demise?
