Dude was making prison hooch in his trailer - he wasn't gonna "sober up". Especially after the redditors started doordashing him liquor he was probably to deeply into the dependency that going cold turkey would have killed him like Amy Winehouse. Only realistic way to have helped him would have been a conservatorship and rehab. Clint had no legal cause for any of those sadly.

I went to a concert last night, and seeing all the people drinking made me feel sorry for my sober self, but now seeing this news, and the fact Josh likely died an alcohol related death it just reaffirms my decision to maintain sobriety, I was on the same path for 5 years this would’ve been me eventually.

RIP Cobra you never hurt a fly. You just wanted to chill, and dish out advice. If you measure a life in how many other people were touched then Josh’s life was immensely successful, he entertained thousands with his eccentricities, and did it with only hurting himself.

I checked here from time to time, to laugh or facepalm, but the knowledge of Reddit psychos being after King Cobra was constantly putting me off and actively stopping me from any participation. Now these scum are probably celebrating, having already made a long list of either overblown or completely made up "reasons" that justified completely obliterating this human being in their sick minds. Those goblins are only capable of preying on human misfortune, because it allows them to forget about being futile parasites and claim superiority over someone else.
