In the freight business, be human or not, almost everyone will pick you. You already see plenty of south american and jeet truck drivers that can barely speak english and that is already a sign.
There was in incident last year in Florida (I think that was the state) where a jeet semi driver who could barely speak or read English was on the interstate and decided to U-TURN AT HIGH SPEED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. It went as well as expected. I think it was even featured on here as an article?

Jeet road casualties are a common sight because they are fucking disgusting retards that make peruvian drivers look as amazing professionals.

Plus, in India that sort of traffic accident is a common sight to the point people don't even react or panic

just find a recruiter and work with them. if you don't get their 20% salary fee yourself in your 2nd year at the company, or it otherwise sucks, cut and run to a job not trying to fuck you.

I remember top gear driving in India and it was chaos, especially at night. People going the wrong way, unlit trucks, people without headlights, people fixing shit in the middle of the road. Basically everyone did whatever they wanted at whatever speed they wanted and just hoped it worked out. The footage is hilarious and horrifying.

India had over 172 THOUSAND deaths from road fatalities in 2023.. something like 470 people a DAY.

Not shocking they would cause massive crashes even if they could read.

Did that years ago, got let go in less than three weeks.
dodging bullets is always a good thing. recruiters get you in the door but they can't guarantee the position stays yours. I consider being fired from my dumb tech job a bullet dodged, it made 0 impact on my quality of life except for not being attention drained by lazy idiots.

Don't you need to pass some fitness tests, have a weapons permit and some other mumbo jumbo there?

Personally i've been in the freight business lately. First doing truck driving jobs for newaly half a year. Driving at night, spending 4 days without a shower and retarded bosses that don't return calls for 3 hours killed it for me. I moved to the human freight biz driving buses. Much more tolerable time wise but extremely aggravating. Kids are horrible and some people are far worse than them. That on top of working on average 70 hours a week from the get go. You also earn comparatively less driving buses but at least you sleep at home every day.

In the freight business, be human or not, almost everyone will pick you. You already see plenty of south american and jeet truck drivers that can barely speak english and that is already a sign. Truck drivers and bus drivers are in high demand as the pool slowly dwindles. Plus, in my case the driving school teacher has a list of companies he introduces potential candidates in the area. And i also had the bonus that one of my relatives owns a bus company so he took me the second i got my license.

Now i'm doing something else but if it falls through i might go back to bus driving.
For armed security you have to pass a test, which depends on where you live. If you have basic firearms familiarity and some legal knowledge, you could pass it (I don't have it, but others I know do). People could also do unarmed security, which may or may not require a guard card (it was shockingly easy). When I was at my security job, they made you go on a CPR website to get a certification, and it was pretty easy since my supervisor told me all of the answers.
Funny enough, where I was posted, I had to deal with freight people, and most of them didn't speak English. If I remember, most of them spoke French and occasionally some guy spoke Georgian . The French-speaking freight people weren't bad but remembering back they did have some very fishy looking licenses and passports.

Is it normal for employers to be unresponsive? I've been waiting for weeks to a month for a response.

It’s normal when they’re not interested in you.

If they really want you the process is quick and they generally get back to you within a few days and you’ll have an offer within a week or two. If you get no response within two weeks it means they went with someone else.

Unfortunately, this is really common now. It should be noted that some jobs do get hundreds to a thousand applications due to lot of people are financially confronted. HR and employers are known to be fucking lazy ranging from being in a union to just outright. While waiting, I guess apply for other jobs incase for the worse.

I’ve got the amazing perspective of both being a truck driver, and having visited India (it’s a long story I’m not going to get into, but I stumbled into a job in my early 20’s working as an assistant for a Chinese guy who owned a construction company, and he wanted me to come along and make sure he didn’t get murdered or kidnapped because I am a scary looking 6,2 white guy). We flew into Amedhabad or however the fuck you spell it, our driver was a nice guy, friendly, well spoken, no accent, he was a good driver, in the four hour drive we had out into the middle of no where we were almost hit by wrong way drivers probably 5 or 6 times, road laws are a suggestion, and they drive like retards even in the middle of no where, when they don’t need to do dangerous shit, there is also apparently basically no incentive to actually pay traffic tickets, and even when you get them, it’s the equivalent of getting a 25$ ticket here for driving drunk (in the only state in India that banned alcohol consumption to). We spent few days in Amedhabad and it’s one of Indias “nicer” cities, garbage everywhere, wild dogs, cows, and even pigs roaming the streets, as I was walking to go get something to eat I saw what I thought might have been a dead pig in the street, as I walked back people were still driving over/around it, about 30 minutes later police cars and ambulances showed up (this happened just outside our hotel), I learned the next day from our driver that what I thought was a random animal was apparently a teenager that fell off the back of a motorcycle, for what was probably around an hour, people continued to drive over his body. The greatest gift I got from that trip was the knowledge that I don’t even want the best educated one in my country, they are animals. And now I share the road with millions of them, I do have Jeet stories from the road, including confronting them when they dump garbage bags out of the side of there truck instead of walking 10-20 feet to place it next to a garbage can, but most of the time they just give you that dead eyed stare and mumble something in there garbage language before speeding off. I once had one try to convince me I had to move at 3 AM because he “reserved a spot” (I wasn’t in a reserved spot) and It ended with me telling him if he didn’t get the fuck away from my truck that id feed him his own teeth, I don’t think he understood the threat because he was trying to talk to me with a translator app (id tried for about 3-5 minutes to explain to him that I wasn’t in a reserved spot, I even did the courtesy of getting out and showing him) but he started yelling at me in his goobledigook dirt person babble, so my response was to just yell the first thing that came into my mind, I’m generally a very quiet and friendly person, I don’t like conflict, and the few times I have “blown up” on people, it clearly shocks them because I go from 0-100, it’s incredibly jarring, and it throws people off. Anyways, we need to deport every subhuman from the sub continent.

This is correct. HR and recruiters are fucking lazy these days but if they see someone they think is high value, they move fast. They will reach out and try to keep you interested in the job. If they don’t see you as a must have, you get pushed into the applicant abyss.

Your best bet when applying is to find someone in the company with enough authority and/or clout to pull you out of the abyss. These are basically the only two ways to get noticed these days. If you don’t have the connections or are able to wow the recruiter (and this can be totally arbitrary too), you’re pretty much SOL. This is why I keep pushing networking because the alternative is hoping a 25 year old thot knows what the fuck you are talking about on your resume to think you’re worth moving on to a prescreen call.

Still seeing people stuck in the 'wage cage' even now in 2026. If you're chasing those remote desk jobs, Upwork is the move, but manual searching is a trap.

That’s why I just use this scraper https://apify.com/upwork-vibe/upwork-job-scraper to grab the decent leads for me. It’s way faster to land a gig when the good postings pop up in your list automatically instead of you hunting for them. Saved me a ton of scrolling.

Yup, pretty sure this is where it happened. Florida's freeways have these in a bunch of places, usually for ambulances or hideyholes for police officers, and definitely not for an illegal in an 18-wheeler.

Depends on how big the company is, what they are looking for, and your demographics. I am actually tempted to work a QC Tech job in petroleum for a year, go serve in the military as an officer or some shit, and then try to use that to my advantage.

I have a few degrees and can pass the fitness tests. It’ll also help with my debts.

Being a gay, black retarded Hispanic woman who is foreign born and actually crippled helps businesses with tax burdens. They literally will make more money hiring the above minority than hiring a straight white/ black guy of able body. Women being “gay” favors them immensely.

I’ve had companies also fuck me over with automated systems where a business week after an interview I’ll be labeled as “not under consideration” and then get a panel interview and be a in consideration for shit.

Were they black?

Call or email them to nudge them. Most places don't give a phone number to call and all emails are done automatically.
Key giveaway it's a fake job imo. No name, address, recruiter name, etc.

I've noticed this shady trend where fake job portals steal jobs from other portals and even post their own "fake jobs" onto other portals, which then redirect you to their own website via those "check application on employers website". These website I suppose just build a number of candidates and sell them/market their numbers, fake it till you make it kinda deal.
