I previously assured AJM users other than Dr Belch that they had nothing to fear from me or other Kiwis. This was true. When I archived Dr Belch's content I took as many precautions as possible not to harvest posts by other users. I didn't look into any other user's post history, or follow up any information about them that they may have revealed. But then the All-Amazing AJM decided to pull his clumsy ruse (or whatever it is he's doing) and so I don't really feel bad about sharing a few conclusions I arrived at during my forum archaeology.

I can totally see where it's coming from, but I don't agree with the argument that AJM or the AJMmers are scared of Sweet Bro. I know that a few of them are scared of coming under our online investigative microscope.

For instance, can you think of any reasons our delicious friend Ubs might not want to invite scrutiny of his online activities?

Since Ubs is not here to defend himself, I will stand up for him. Ubs is NOT a pedophile. Trust me, Belch is the only thing close to a pedophile on AJM STUDIOS.

BUT... I have also created a proboards forum before, and after playing with the Admin tools, I can't find any way to block just certain members unless you block their IP, remove them entirely from the site. So I'm not sure it's possible to hide parts of the site from specific members

Very possible Treenbeen. I created a test Proboards forum to recreate what AJM did. As you can see in the image below, I created a member group called "Da Spergs" on my test forum.

In the following image, here's proof of how Proboards admins can block members in a certain member group from viewing a board and its content.


Now how did AJM create the calender page that only the "undesirable" members can see? Proboards gives you the ability to create something called a "custom page".

Click on "Check for Warrants", and you'll get an Excel spreadsheet that was updated on June 19th. In that spreadsheet you will find that Jonathan Mack Sweet (the is Dr Belch's real name) with
DOB of 9/13/1975 (this matches the birthday Dr Belch put on his profile on your forum) has two outstanding arrest warrants. Ask yourself - why are you protecting a man who is wanted by the police? A man who has a history of disrespect for law enforcement and the American judicial system, as evidenced by his warrants for failure to appear.

I respect you standing up for your friend. FWIW I'd concluded that Ubs was odd but not a paedophile (the same way that AJM has a thing for MLP ponies sneezing, but probably isn't actually into any heavy furry/anthro stuff). Ubs seems pretty aware that he's eccentric, and plays up to it, but my take was that he'd see a site that pokes fun at online eccentricity and feel like a potential target. He did seem to stop posting after the Kiwi users registered.

I think as well that a subset of AJMmers aren't very tech savvy. I saw that thread where you all discovered that the sneeze tally thread was being crossposted to a sneeze fetish site, and there were some comments from users worried about hacking and "internet crimes".

I get what you're saying and I acknowledge you know him better than I do, but look at it from our perspective: He allows Jonathan "I love watching Pokemon hump" Sweet to post at best questionable and at worst reprehensible shit on his board for years, and when Jonathan "Keep a diary of how often you sneeze, little girl" Sweet drags a bunch of crazy drama from our board onto his board, not only does he side with Jonathan "Why has no one considered female genital mutilation?" Sweet, he comes up with this ridiculous charade in an attempt to... not hurt feelings? I'm still trying to figure out what the benefit of his deception is other than being able to say "I didn't ban anyone, so we're still friendly here!"

Please don't fear that you've set an internet hate machine on AJM or Ubs or anyone else. Apologies if you're clear on this already but we're not like Encylcopaedia Dramatica, or /baph/, or even /cow/. We have a laugh at odd people on the internet, but we don't target people over little things, and we're pretty hands-off.

Case in point: we've known where Sweet Bro lives for a year now, and at no point have we sent him any unwanted items in the post, or prank called him, or reported him to the police.

I can't speak for the other investigatory Kiwis, but I really don't have anything I'd want to post from an AJMmer that isn't Belch. I had the Ubs thing which was curious, but other than that there's nothing.

That said, nobody enjoys a , so if there's some backlash against AJM for how he handled Milkgate then I hope you can understand that. But I'm not going to be trawling for any arrest warrants or Fetlife profiles for Ubs or AJM or anyone else. Sweet is clearly the only lolcow on AJM Studios.

I honestly think it's cool that a forum created by school friends 10 years ago is still going. And I have a measure of bewildered respect for anyone who plays GTA IV, refuses to do any fun criminal stuff, and forms a police force instead.
