No, I blame Obama for signing the stupid bill into law to begin with without doing some research into the problems of the new technology. For example, since the box pulls all the stations through one channel, it makes the existing TV remote pretty useless. If you turn the channel with it, you get sixty-odd channels of dead air. Many stations--Antenna TV, PBS, qubo, IonTV--come in sporadically, depending on which way the wind blows, and are frequently blue-screened. Several, like FOX and NBC, are on the Forbidden List. If you turn off the unit it drops channels like bad stitches in a quilt. The DTV pal remote itself uses twice as many power as any other remote in my house, and batteries aren't exactly cheap. And the clock frequently loses time by several minutes a day, so after a week or ten days it's at least an hour behind. I am always running late for church or appointments because of it. And the only way to reset it is to turn off the unit, so I always lose the blue-screen channels. In short, I hate DTV, I don't call it "ObamaCable" for nothing, and I want analog back.

I know that's not going to convince you that Obummer didn't personally shut down your local transmitter, but you should have a look at this:

1) In 2005, under Bush's term, The House approved the 2009 cutoff of full-power analog transmitters (link)
2) In 2009, The Senate Republicans actually blocked an attempt at pushing back this cutoff date (link)

I think all of your problems are caused by you having a shitty receiver box and/or a shitty local transmitter, there's nothing inherently wrong with the technology. You should try one of those new flat screen TVs, they're pretty neat! (get a proper watch too)

First he finds out Europe switched over, then he finds out it was actually republicans that did it.
He better drown his sorrows in a 19-year old girl who will accuse him of cheating because he didn't text her back right away.

Beat me to it.

Unrelated but it was also the Bush Administration that killed the Space Shuttle after 2010. It's just another thing that conservatives like to pin on Obummer, Obozo, or what ever.

Well it happened during his term. It doesn't matter if things were established and decided before they got into office.

In case y'all missed it.
I have a strategy for debating: act like a child and say random, pointless crap in hopes that the other persons will get tired of me and they stop before they make me ragequit
So it comes down to whether I can win and make him ragequit. Challenge accepted.

That's why I like college relationships. They're perfect. Since they're mostly conducted by phone, you get to stay in, you don't have to take the girl out and spend money on her, or even speak to them if you don't want to. You can go three, four hours and not say a dozen words to one another, if you know what I mean. After six months to a year of phone fun, you agree to meet in person. That's the college system. It's how we men lived, and how we were taught. And it generally works, even if the girl they paired we with was a little off. I think I'm ready to try it again. Now that I know the rules, I believe I can make it work.

So are you implying that all college relationships are long distance? In most colleges, thousands of young men and women live within a mile or so of each other and often much less. Lots of chances to meet and hang out in person. In fact, most people prefer that way of dating. If the couple isn't meeting up that day, they're also often in communication through texts, phone calls, etc. While there is no obligation to be constantly in communication, there is a general expectation that both partners show each other equal amounts of attention, and that goes for all types of relationships. But what you are referring to is not the "college" way of getting into a relationship.

No, he's implying that he likes college relationships because (in his mind) he doesn't has to talk to his partner, take his partner out, spend time with it, worry or care about it, or pretty much do anything that you do in a relationship.

I still wonder why this guy got dumped, mmhh...

Also the old timer is implying that with older women require talking all the time. Not for nothing but when I'm with the Mrs. (who is older than me) we go the majority of the day without talking because it gives us something to talk about at the end of the day. At most we'll comment on Facebook which is hardly in depth conversations.

It could also be because he's whiny, paranoid and stubborn as hell. That might be why all the boyfriend-free girls aren't flocking to him. Also, no job or wheels.

I totally remember when I was in college I wanted to date a guy who looked like an extra from Deliverance, whacked off to Kim Possible, and had a fart fetish. Actually, no, I remember that I wanted to actually, you know, study. Because that's what college is for.

Ugh, keeping track is a pain.

Who said anything about running blindly? I don't like my current situation either but living in the past is not a viable solution until mental time travel becomes a thing.

One of the most baffling things I ever heard you say is college is for dating. I mean, what? College is for advancing your knowledge; if you scored a date, then that's just a neat bonus.

While we're on about your comic and site, I'll just be frank here: You have no sense of aesthetics. You really have no idea how to design a comic, let alone draw. Buying an expensive webhost isn't going to make your site look better either.

Hell, what IS your day job? I have a hard time believing you have a decent internet connection but not making enough money to buy better things or you know, move out.
