It's hard to imagine that Jon would qualify for state care in some sort of group home.
He's not so exceptional that he can't work. There are people with Down syndrome who get up every morning, get dressed and go and do a proper day's work. Blind people. People with no fucking legs.
What I really don't get is how people like Jon, Chris et al can convince themselves that they're not about to be mowed down by a great big freight train of reality.
There are simple steps they can take to avoid it. It must almost take more effort to keep their heads in the sand.
