these people have my sympathies. id have no idea where to run to if i was in the same situation here. what hotel/motel? how far do i have to go before gas in the car and gas stations run out?

its way different if youre competing with millions of frantic people, plans go out the door.

Why feel sympathy for someone stupid enough to live in a giant bowl next to the ocean? This is natural selection at work.

Not sure if True but Big if true

Jefferson Parish has like 400k people
The parish official calling in to WWL said that was total fake news and the river is actually falling. Not saying a levy didn't fail but the only real sources for this is rando's spreading rumors on twitter.
I think the real problem is most of the pumps have no back up generators. No power=no pumping.

The St John parish presidant called in and said the reports about Laplace area are mostly bullshit. They know of 1 person trapped. The rest of the reports are hoaxes being spread by retards.

Who knows whats real at this point.

Old lady caller crying on WWL with her husband in wheel chair. Rain pouring through their ceiling all over their stuff.
So far is sounds like the biggest problem is roof damage/gone from the callers. No one reporting super deep water. YET. That took a day after Katrina before that started to happen.

I'm listening to Jefferson Parish Fire's dispatch. There are apparently lots of power lines and other shit down but they're not saying anything about rising waters, at least not now.

Honestly i seriously doubt a boomer city councilman or politician is in any position to call rumors on social media like this "Bullshit",...especially when Police and rescue are not out and about.

He probably gets his news from the paper the next morning before he says anything

There is no reason whatsovever for local social media accounts to just be making things up at this point but when the sun comes up we will know
