Wow, what the hell is with his comic? All of his females look exactly the same and the dialogue makes no sense and the jokes aren't funny to anyone (I guess except him).
Also, DAT KRAMER.
edit: well, you can't say he hasn't at least improved. His characters' heads have a space for their brains now as opposed to when he started.
Interesting... It seems like there hasn't been a news update since March 2013, but the forums seem active and... there are a lot of personal ads, more that I thought at least... It's an interesting look. I mean, if you are the person who likes funny OkCupid ads, you might find this interesting.
Oh man, Roleplayin gamer. I've never encountered a webcomic in my life that was as devoid of humor as Roleplayin gamer is.
Seriously, when I first read the webcomic the first thing I said after I finished reading it was, "Where's the joke?" And it was good question indeed.
The thing with Roleplayin gamer is not so much that the joke isn't completely there, it's more so the execution of the joke. Roleplayin gamer's execution of jokes suffers from the same problem as Tim Buckley's "Ctrl Alt Del" which stems from too much dialogue which in turn stops the joke from having the right comedic impact, half of what makes comedy funny is the timing and hitting it right. However Rollplayin gamer takes this one step further in that the author has zero comedic ability, his problem is that he tries to be funny, rather than actually being funny. Now of course I can't have a very good insight into the author's writing process, but nevertheless his jokes come off as extremely forced, with an atmosphere that says to the reader, "GET IT? DID YOU GET THE JOKE? I JUST DID A JOKE! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LAUGH NOW" this forcefulness is a trademark for almost every bad comedic attempt, rather than allowing the reader to comprehend the joke; they instead make a joke so abstract that they have to explain the joke in detail.
Also as for the author of the comic, his name is Mike Kirouff, and he runs a dating website by the name of GamerDater in addition to Roleplayin gamer. http://www.gamerdater.com/
Oh god the profiles for the gamer dating site are hilarious.
My birthday is November 8th. My friend and family see me as a teddy bear and a saint from time to time. My Nana taught me to be a gentlemen. I can litterally have NO nightmares anymore thanks to my Uncle so I like to watch stuff that use to scare me.
