You’re nearly 21. You don’t ask your mum for permission to get a job. You just go get one. While you’re under her roof the expectation would be you’re polite, civilised and pull your weight with the household chores and bills. But she doesn’t get to tell you you cant have a job. You’re an adult.I'm not allowed to get a job because my mom doesn't want mean people yelling at me and doesn't want me away from her.
Just suck it upOr should I just suck it up & go under the drill?
I agree with you but I think there's one exception to this. Steam friends. I think there is a point in adding people even if you don't talk. When it comes to niche multiplayer games, you can fire up a game and people in your friends list can see you playing and if they want they can join you.I don't find it acceptable or normal personally, to just be adding people for the sake of adding them. They'll become names on a list eventually, at that point, you either do something with them or drop them.
I'm not one for doctor appointments either, but oddly enough dentist stuff is an exception to that. I actually like going to the dentist. But I haven't had any serious issues in over a decade so I can't help you there. Last time I had cavities was as a teen, and my fillings were good so many years later I still have no issues with them. I just go for yearly checkups and plaque removal.I guess I'm looking for some comfort. Has anyone here gotten a lot of fillings and/or crowns? If so, how have you guys faired over the years? Any issues, physical, mental, lookswise? Is there no way to get my mouth in check & possibly restore my teeth so as to not have to go through this? Or should I just suck it up & go under the drill?
Remember, the alternative is much much worse. Not great. I've got an appointment at the dentist today for a cleanup plus discussion of recent teeth issues. I haven't been in for two years. As such, I'm being told I got bacteria chilling deep in my right set of molars now. So, time for fillings. Plus, my previous dentist fucked up my left side amalgam fillings so I have to get them removed and refilled, along with the new ones.
I'm genuinely scared. I hate the dentist. Never had a good experience with them & they often made matters worse. The only reason I never had cavities before was because of my family's very strict eating standards. Now, due to poor diet, mental issues, and meds, it's all gone topside.

No matter what, yes you should just suck it up and go under the drill. Trust me.Or should I just suck it up & go under the drill?
I'm also an energy drink addict. I understand. Monster and Red Bull have me in a choke hold. I've started taking an l-theanine supplement on days I'll be having caffeine and it seems to help take the edge off. Smooths it out a bit. L-theanine is in green tea, which is why people tend to tolerate it a bit better.I'm beginning to sense a pattern. If I drink an energy drink, or a cup of coffee for that matter, my anxiety spikes and I find myself ruminating more easily.
Fuck me and my enjoying the taste of highly caffeinated drinks. I suppose it's just another fact about me that I cannot change and I just have to accept that I should stay away from them, except as an incredibly rare treat.
Sayonara, vietnamese iced coffee, dalgona coffee and literally any Monster flavour that are available to me.
Luckily I enjoy tea and I have a cabinet full of all kinds of teas, from rooibos to sencha. Yes, regular tea leaves are full of caffeine too but they don't seem to have quite the same effect on me even if I drink a whole pot of green or black tea.
It sucks because I unironically enjoy the flavour of many energy drinks. They don't even make me uncomfortably awake anymore, I can sleep just fine after drinking a Monster. But for the sake of my health, I guess I have to cut back on them and substitute my soft drink intake in general with tea or cordial.I'm also an energy drink addict. I understand. Same... The white monster is my favorite. There's a new(I think) one, it's regular Monster with strawberry flavoring. I love their peachy keen sugarfree one. I discovered a new brand that makes a lemon flavoured one that's very similar to Schweppes bitter lemon, but with extra battery acid. Yummy.Same...
