The Puppet Master remake is probably best. For the original series, stop at 5 at latest. 5 is not a classic, but afterwards, there is only pain. I would pay Charles Band $10 to sign a notarized document stating that Puppet Master: The Legacy is not canon.

Totally generic slasher. When the killer appears you first think that you missed a scene explaining who he is and what's his motive but no, it's just some dude. One of the worst killers ever in a slasher. Basketball face from Night of the Dribbler was better:

Agreed. It's been a while since I rewatched anything after 5, so my memory isn't good on later entries, but I remember a lot of disappointment. I still haven't seen any of the recent ones. I do remember Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys with Corey Feldman being fucking terrible, that's for sure.
