I watched Oasis of the Zombies. Probably not a great sign that whenever I get around to watching one of these Worst Movies Ever I end up thinking, eh, that was okay. I got roped into watching My Old Ass the other day, and it was way worse.
It is one of Jess Franco's movies. That's about all you can say about it. Cool box art, tho.

Say what you want about Verbinski's Ring but Seattle being green will never not be weird.

I guess it’s horror related, Painted Dr death from madhouse for a practice painting, Not a great movie but Vincent price is top notch in it And it was an awesome yet wasted design

For a practice painting I think it looks good, and I agree with loving the look of Dr. Death.

A single black mother with two children are terrorized by a supernatural threat? This premise sounds much like that Halle Berry movie from last year.

Let's see... The twist will be that the dad died in the car wreak because him and the mom fought because he or she was cheating or something and the mom survived and now she feels really guilty and voodoo witch bitch is hear to eat mom's soul or something. Also niggers. It's fucking Blumhouse.

Watched Dead & Buried recently.
And... meh?
It's decent. Solid 7 or 8/10... but I've heard people say it's one of the unsung greats of 80s horror. I just didn't see the hype.
Some amazing effects work and nice cinematography though.

the wife leaves on The Walking Dead channel on pluto a lot for background noise
some episode was on where a crazy gal was chaining the walkers up to make normal daily life scenes, like people sitting in the cafe, a cop writing a driver a ticket
"zombies as audio-animatronics" was a cute bit, don't think I'd seen that before

Does anyone here like House(1985)? I don't see it get brought up a lot but when I was a kid that scene with the monster in the closet freaked me out. The mirror world was also pretty dope.

I really like that movie. It's a good balance of horror and comedy. Yeah the closet monster scared me too as a kid, but not as much as the blue marlin that came to life in the living room. It only scared me so much because my school's mascot was a blue marlin and we had a real stuffed one at the entrance of our school. I was always giving that thing the side eye.

House had some great monsters designs in it, like that winged monster in the other world when Rodger goes through the bathroom mirror. Him finding the portal in the mirror was done well to I think.

Just look at all those monster hands. And it has Richard Moll playing Big Ben.

I have to see this now, a horror comedy poltergeist with cool practical effects, It seems much more interesting than the toho’s “house” I grew up with, which felt like typical Japanese media, it’s not bad but i find it overrated, people only find it scary because it’s Japanese and surreal.

I watched 5 minutes of Heretic, and dropped it. Couldn't take a single more line of the two annoying, utterly unconvincing, inane, stupid, completely irritating cunts spewing retarded try-hard lines at each other. I would've liked to have seen Hugh Grant show up, but suffering through another minute of that movie would've made the Cenobites feel bad for me.

If someone tells me it's a false opening and the two chicks die immediately and are replaced by believable, likeable chicks, I'll give it another shot; until then though, this movie can fuck right off.

0/5 stars. I regret the 5 minutes I invested and anyone who enjoyed it should kill themselves.

The closest I can think of is Fido, an underrated zombie movie set in the 1950s where zombies are just slaves.

Heretic had some good ideas, and was completely carried by the acting of the three main characters. Topher Grace makes an interesting but ultimately inconsequential appearance. There are serious problems with the motivation and explanation of actions of Grant's character. And the entire depiction/existence of the "prophets" is totally dumb, reminding me ultimately of another much-hyped movie, Barbarian, which wasn't really all it was talked up for either. Additional minus points for holocaust sperging and stupid porn monologue in prologue.

Oh yeah. The Shining hedge maze part where girl was shown to be running through model of house that the host meticulously crafted for no reason at all. Then see her burst into the room with the model. That part was clever. Still can't decide if that kind of "Hollywood magic" belongs in a movie of this scale.

Eta. That model is kind of awful, dude is randomly crafting it while he's kidnapping hot Mormon girls. Then one girl uses it to discover an escape from the house. The concept really seems reverse-engineered to fit the outcome.
