I check tubi pretty frequently, but it's been dry lately.
A few years ago, Amazon Prime was amazing for B-horror movies. It really felt like they grabbed up every cheap movie they could get their hands on, but that's seemingly no longer the case.
Have you tried using the search box on Tubi to find some decent B-grade horror/sci-fi movies?

Yeah, as I said, I basically check every service I have access to, either directly or through the roku search

How about the horror-themed platform Shudder? It does have an incredible range of recommended B-grade or low budget horror

Vudu has a lot of overlap with Tubi but seems to have a slightly larger selection overall, in addition to a much better search function.

The downside is Brave doesn't automatically block ads on Vudu like it does for Tubi, so I would get hit with like a full 3-5 minutes of golf advertisements.

Shudder in my experience has never been terribly good tbh, the only really good movie I found there was Superdeep

That's fair. The post below that which @Pitbull Victim did recommend was Vudu. I agree with him that is it has a better selection for movies and TV, even though Tor browsers Brave (or even adblocking adons) would not automatically block ads for Vudu.

Everything on Shudder I had seen/owned or wasn't interesting. The only good thing was Joe Bob and you can get that in other places. At least I only paid for it once.

I remember nothing about it, but the soundtrack is great
It's a damn shame that the only good thing to come out of that movie was the soundtrack music done by Carpenter Brut and everything else is a bland, forgettable and borderline boring.

Are there any good horror recommendation sites? I've tried various movie rec sites but with horror they tend to just funnel me into the standard answers. I've seen a shocking amount of horror so I'm looking for the really esoteric shit
If you're at the point where you're this desperate, maybe it's time to scour RateYourMusic's charts for obscure shit?
It's pure autism but in my experience it can result in finding gems. Try it out here.

I'm at the point of buying an IMDb api key and an AWS instance and making my own recommendation algorithm

Has anyone ever watched Slashers (2001) ?
It's about a group of Americans that participate in a Japanese gameshow where they're locked underground and put up against several killers of different themes. There's Chainsaw Charlie who is obviously aping from Leatherface, Preacherman, and Dr. Ripper. There's very little editing used in the film as it mainly comprises of long one take shots cleverly seamed together which makes the film kind of intense but in a fun way as the film travels at a break neck pace and never really slows down.
I just saw that it's coming out on Blu-ray this month and will have an original version that is longer than the one I saw on the DVD that was released back in the day so I'm really looking forward to snagging a copy.

The third and final act of the movie pissed me off and is nothing shy of wasted potential, which is a shame because the first two acts were very terrifying.
Those SyFy Original Movie stock roar sounds for the monster, wow. Hard to believe those scenes and the first act are both part of the same movie.

I get this is an indie movie, but she couldn't find a better stock roar sound effect on YouTube, so instead use the same shit used in The Asylum DTV movies? :story:

Bringing up a Tubi "original" that I enjoyed, The Last Exit, a horror/crime/thriller entry set in the Scottish Highlands, as two criminal brothers find shelter at a remote farmhouse, only no one is what they might seem at first glance. A lot of atmosphere and some twisty takes on some familiar crime/horror beats.

Might add that on my watchlist. Sounds very interesting
