I don't understand why the fuck the media latched onto pennywise as a "queer ally/queer rep" for a while. He's a shapeshifting light based space alien that decided to take the form of a fucking clown and indiscriminately kill and eat people (mostly children too). It does this not because it needs to, but because it finds that shit really fucking funny.
He also calls the black guy a coon in the book so he's also a racist bigot clearly.

Easily the part where I stopped finding Pennywise remotely scary. A demonic being that's timeless and unfathomable to humans stooping so low to call a person a slur is just too silly to me. Not that he didn't do a lot of other shit in the book or movies that just made him a black comedy character.

Damn, I watched the (Skarsgard) It movies a while ago (the first one was better than the second, but still wasn't anything that special (honestly through no fault of anyone involved, really, it just isn't that good of a story)), and now I kind of feel bad for Pennywise.

Too gay to be based, too based to be gay. I feel like if they'd made the first movie even 2-3 years earlier, he'd be on par with Pepe, but those few interceding years just soyed him out too much to be interesting.

His antics are more or less just meant to be "cosmic horror being that instead of being unknowable decides to be a funny murder man" so it fits. His giant preggo spider plan was legitimately retarded and I can understand why the remakes turned it into just a giant spiderclown guy fight but it's somewhat funnier in a cosmic sense for pennywise to go out like a bitch because he came up with some plan to turn into a pregnant spider and wait for the guys he had a grudge against to show back up again. (though other books imply he's still alive somehow after that)

Is either version of Pennywise in everybody's top 5 horror clowns list?
He's in mine because he kills people or just messes with people in a really funny and entertaining way and that's saying something for both horror antagonists and Clowns because a lot of the time neither tend to be that funny.

I guess I just like my horror antagonists to be scary is all. Or at least be a big danger to the main characters. Pennywise doesn't check either box. I'm talking the book and the two adaptions with this.

Currywise for sure, unless we're counting each Killer Klown From Outer Space individually
"Currywise" put a horrible image in my head.

Is this not how queers reproduce?

So I ended up watching Eli Roth's Thanksgiving in theatres last night. I've been shitting on Eli Roth's work, but needless to say, this is easily his best movie in years. I'd say it's up there with the first Hostel. It's camp for sure but still fun

Because they never read the book to see that it opens with Pennywise killing a gay man, something that was inspired by real life. Twitter just saw "sexy" monster we can ship with some other "sexy" monster, because that's all people that post on social media care about. They don't care about story, or characters, they just want to consume what is in for the week and move on.

He's a creepy and uncanny freak that wears a ton of makeup, is picky about his clothes, and ruins the lives of children. Of course the gays are going to glorify it.
