Psycho Goreman was cute, I don't think I ever finished Turbo Kid.

I only ever watched The Witches as when it came out, so I have no idea just how much it holds up.

I guess the Babadook would fit in that category but I never watched it.

I actually enjoyed "Turbo Kid" which didn't come off so much as "Le Retraux Eighties" to me as an attempt at making the sort of sci-fi/action/etc. movie from that 80s-early 90s period where the lurid box art promised a lot but failed to deliver, except TK's makers wanted to make the sort of movie that was promised by those schlocky direct-to-VHS titles and premises.

The twist of the Babadook was ruined for me, and everyone kept hyping it as THE. SCARIEST. EVAH. and I'm always wary of those movies so I never gave it a chance as a result.

I'm sure it's perfectly passable, but I don't want another Saint Maud situation where people go on about how violent and crazy it is, and when I'm done watching it I'm like 'Wait that's it?'

Fright Night didn't star kids dude... But yeah, I suppose there might be a genre when you Monster Squad, Lost Boys, The Gate and who could forget Return of the Living Dead part 2? Oh wait, everyone forgot about that one.
Getting old isn't always a curse because I thankfully forgot almost everything about that film except that the director also made a bad Meatballs sequel.

I saw this film twice as an adult and thought it held up pretty well. As a child I liked scary films like the first Gremlins, Poltergeist, and Aliens, but this one would have disturbed me a bit like the ending of Time Bandits did.

Saint Maud was definitely far more of a drama, although that last shot was more brutal than most actual horror films

I liked Black Phone, built good creepy tension throughout, had some decent jumps, and something about the 70s setting made it more grim than it would have been if it was set in present day.

that being said, I did an actual lol at Ziggy's death. I don't know if that was supposed to be scary or disturbing, but it failed to be anything other than hilarious

That last shot sucked because it removed any ambiguity of 'Are there actual demons? Is she doing heaven's work? Was she convinced by the devil? Is she just insane?' It also turns her cunty patient into a sad victim.

NOPE isn't horror, moreso thriller. I easily think it is the best of Peele's 3 movies. I felt engaged with the characters and their conflict. Great experience with the audience as the comedy was rather authentic, making for good chuckles (weird description, I know). If anyone can figure out the connection with Gordy and the rest of the plot, please let me know. I'd like to think there was something deeper there. Also, the foreshadowing of the climax was great. And, the line
"I was supposed to train Jean Jacket" and you see Daniel bait the ship, taking point over Keke. I thought that was superb.

I get that Rob Zombie is a huge fan of The Munsters for a very long time, but fuck me this still looks very bad. Also, it doesn't come to my surprise that a huge studio like Universal would have done something unprofessional like by releasing a trailer with very fucked up audio, even though it isn't as hysterically bad as the first IMAX teaser for the 2017 Tom Cruise Mummy movie.

It's Universal's straight to video unit that made the movie. So I'm not surprised.

Considering they allowed Doom Annihilation (which I still stand my high ground as the worst video game movie ever, and is responsible for every single fucking Land Before Time sequel, all of which is honestly a very very low bar on my book) among other shit, I'm not surprised either.

Looks like they revealed every scene with tension in the trailer. Also lol @ old ass Jamie Lee Curtis going girlboss mano e mano with zombie tard Michael.
Reminder that this movie will supposedly have a covid subplot, unless that was shit that Jamie Lee made up like how Halloween Kills is like Black Lives Matter.

Well, technically he's wearing a mask. It's too bad Anthony Michael Hall died in the last one, he looked like he was having fun being retarded. As dumb as Halloween Kills was, at least it was short and not boring. Which is a fucking achievement now-a-days for some reason.

Public Service Announcement.

Right now, there's a huge hoax campaign going on over the internet. They are saying that Netflix released a Resident Evil tv series, but in fact when you download the files, or if log into netflix and click on the cover, it actually rickrolls you into watch the most revolting porn video you've ever seen. Danny DeVito fisting himself in a pile of shit levels of gross.

So don't make the mistake of thinking it's an actual series, don't click those links, don't even talk about it, just keep pretending it doesn't exist and move on. There is no such series.

Just, don't.
You're probably making this sound better than it actually is...

This looks like a direct to tv movie from 30-40 years ago. Actually if it was that and not a Rob Zombie movie I'd be a lot more interested in seeing it. The same genius who decided that Dr. Loomis should be reimagined as an insufferable douche also somehow thinks that having THIS cast attempt 1:1 impressions of the original Munsters cast is going to fly. Just put the Butch Patrick scenes on YT, that's all I can handle sober.
