Right now, there's a huge hoax campaign going on over the internet. They are saying that Netflix released a Resident Evil tv series, but in fact when you download the files, or if log into netflix and click on the cover, it actually rickrolls you into watch the most revolting porn video you've ever seen. Danny DeVito fisting himself in a pile of shit levels of gross.

So don't make the mistake of thinking it's an actual series, don't click those links, don't even talk about it, just keep pretending it doesn't exist and move on. There is no such series.

Just, don't.
Are you sure its fake? It is Netflix we are talking about.

What you describe sounds lightyears better than that Cowboy Bebop live action abomination.

Or the upcoming Tomb Raider Netflix anime-influenced series.

Resident Evil should be one of the easiest games to translate to movie/ tv yet they keep fucking it up, kind of funny at this point.

New movie was the closest to the game but they got the characters pretty wrong and tried to smash the first 3 games into 1 movie for some reason.

I think it's time to accept the most accurate R.E adaptation we'll ever get were the S.D Perry novels.

It's funny, I post this guy's video on the 90's Munster TV movie (my bad, I thought it was the 80's show) and he makes this.

I tried to watch the Black Phone but had to stop partway since I started the movie a bit too late at night. Is it just me or is the MC's sister really bad at acting? Child actors are usually shitty but it sounded like she was just reciting lines and took me out of the movie whenever she showed up. I couldn't buy into the short spic kid's tough guy attitude as well.

Nah, I really really liked The Black Phone but you need to have the mindset that this is a kids' horror movie, (not Ernest Goes to Camp, more like the OG Fright Night) and could 100% be from the 80s.

There's actually no name for that category of horror movies but there should be one. Horror movies meant for adult but starring children as protagonists. I feel like it's definitely it's own distinct genre in a way. Fright Night, The Lost Boys, etc....

Fright Night didn't star kids dude... But yeah, I suppose there might be a genre when you Monster Squad, Lost Boys, The Gate and who could forget Return of the Living Dead part 2? Oh wait, everyone forgot about that one.

When this comes out for movie night we should show the Wes Craven presents flick They and then the killer ant movie Them @Ebonic Tutor @Frank D'arbo

It's so retarded, and I do like the idea.

Forgot Part 2? I own it on DVD and watched it multiple time.

You're right that Fright Night wasn't technically kids, I guess kids and tweens, I mean even though technically FN is about kids who are 16-17 I wouldn't put it in the same category as movies like Scream or even Friday the 13th etc...

You end up with mostly Disney shit, maybe OG The Witches, IT: pt1, possibly Are you Afraid of the Dark, Eerie Indiana ?

There are others but you end up at around PG13 for most of em at best if not just family films that a bit "spooky"

Funny Games tho.... and Babadook (but god that movie is awful in retrospect)

No, see, that's exactly what I don't mean. Those movies aren't meant for children, they are just centered around children.

Stuff like Psycho Goreman, Turbo Kid, etc... No normal parents would go around and make their young children watch that shit.

I mean an obvious movie would be IT: Chapter 1 too.

The Witches is legit PG (a fucking edgy PG at that) the later half of the list was edgelord.

And no I didn't mean all the "we wish we were the 80's movies" I legit loathe both Psycho Goreman (The Void was so good, then half the team put out that trash) and Turbo Kid is retarded.
