she’s considering another presidential run, telling a New York City audience on Friday that she would be well suited to the office.

During a far-ranging interview with Kara Swisher of the technology website Recode(Ms. Swisher is also a contributor to The Times’s Opinion section), Mrs. Clinton initially said “no” when asked whether she wanted to run for president again. She then paused and repeated “no.”

But after Ms. Swisher noted the slight hesitation, Mrs. Clinton seemed to reconsider her response, saying that a major task of the next Democratic president will be improving the international standing of the United States.

“Well, I’d like to be president,” she said, during the public taping at the 92nd Street Y of Ms. Swisher’s podcast. "The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for having been at the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department, and it’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting.”

Mrs. Clinton has become a more visible presence in recent weeks, increasing the number of her public appearances and raising money for Democrats across the country. Last week, she spoke at a fund-raiser for Donna Shalala, a former Clinton administration official, who is running for a House seat in Florida.

“She will always be a winner and I’ll always be with her,” said Ms. Shalala, introducing Mrs. Clinton to a room full of 200 Democratic donors in Miami.

Mrs. Clinton said she wouldn’t consider a possible run in 2020 until after the midterm elections next week.

“I’m not even going to even think about it until we get through this Nov. 6 election,” she said. “But I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House come January of 2021.”

Should she mount a third presidential bid, Mrs. Clinton would be entering a Democratic field crowded with potential contenders, a major shift from 2016, when nearly no Democrats were eager to challenge her.

Mrs. Clinton said she expects a crowded field of as many as 20 Democrats.

“I think we’d have a number of excellent candidates who would be really formidable on the campaign trail, but let’s wait and see who it is,” she said. "I’m just going to wait and watch what happens.”

Mrs. Clinton dismissed some of the calls for her to retreat from public life as sexist.

“There were no articles telling Al Gore to go away or John Kerry to go away or John McCain or Mitt Romney to go away,” she said. “Mitt Romney is going to the Senate, that’s where he’s going.”

What's her game here? She looks like death, maybe she's spent the last month in child blood getting presentable, but I still expect her to look worse than 2016.

I don't think she can win the primary. Maybe with Biden out she thinks she can beat Warren, but she doesn't have the cheat in this time. The other candidates have a sweaty forehead space man choice of "We need someone who can beat Donald, don't choose the candidate who already lost to him” and "Donald Trump stole the election with Russian hacking" but when had hypocrisy ever stopped a politician?

Plus the fact that the Trump already has the FISA and email server investigations in full swing, ready to come out publicly as she runs, and unlike Meuller, those are gonna have teeth.

I think you're assuming that the candidates have much choice in the matter. Hillary took over the DNC for 2016 to ensure no one's will mattered much and not too much seems to have changed in power since then.

She spent that though, her fixer is out. She prepared for 8 years while Obama was out, she took all their money and blew it all on a huge L.

I suspect the DNC will let her sink or swim on her own. Even Rasmussen that's salivating over this and headlining her polling against Trump stated that the majority of Democrats polled don't want her.

In my own personal anecdote, the crazy lefties on my life are pro Warren, and very negative against Hillary.

I just don’t see it. It would be hilarious, but I don’t see it. I still think joe biden will get the nomination and be the Sacrificial lamb. Showing that old white men have no place.
P.s. “at least three genders” - Joe Biden

I think you're being pretty :optimistic: , are you forgetting 2016 bernie? the democrats have greater control over social media and nearly all communication channels to the populace at this point. Hillary really does believe trump supporters are deplorables so the playbook, regardless of candidate, is going to be to demonize white males and hope they get enough PoC votes to cheat their way in. voter corruption will be pretty nasty this time around, especially in swing states.

She might inspire a lot of protest votes, or protest non-votes anyways.

I have grown from despising her to outright loathing her and would probably actually vote third party this time. She displayed none of the humility to be demanded of anyone who fucked up as badly as she did.

Humility is those who come to her. Why should she ever be humble? Has she ever actually been humble before? Whenever she gets called out for any of her shit she's never been humble.
Monica, the Balkans, Waco, Libya, emails, the election, the list goes on.
Humility is for those below her station.

Her station is somewhere other than the White House.
She could be a tour guide.
"Here is the Oval Office where my husband cheated on me with an intern, and where Donald Trump leads America and the rest of the Free World. Now, please come this way, and you can see where my husband used a cigar to fuck that intern and where I will never get to be in charge of the nation."

I hate this dumb faggot, but if she's fundraising, that's interesting.

What she has to say is fucking hilarious though.

""I believe that, look there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again. And I'm hoping that both the public and press understand the way Trump plays the game," Clinton said."

Which reads like :
Look, we paid a fuckload to rig the last election and Trump outsmarted us, we're going all out to rig the next one, he's not going to get over on us again.

Hillary Clinton to Trump: 'Don't tempt me' into entering the 2020 presidential race

Washington (CNN)Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday shot back at President Donald Trump after he taunted her about entering the 2020 presidential election, saying, "Don't tempt me."

"Don't tempt me. Do your job," Clinton said.
The terse comment came in response to an earlier tweet from Trump that said, "I think that Crooked Hillary Clinton should enter the race to try and steal it away from Uber Left Elizabeth Warren."
"Only one condition," he added. "The Crooked one must explain all of her high crimes and misdemeanors including how & why she deleted 33,000 Emails AFTER getting 'C' Subpoena!."
Clinton's tweet Tuesday comes months after she told CNN affiliate News 12 Westchester in March that she would not run for president again in 2020.
"I'm not running, but I'm going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe," she said at the time. "I want to be sure that people understand I'm going to keep speaking out. I'm not going anywhere."
Trump's invocation of Clinton -- whom he has attacked repeatedly in his role as President -- comes as the Democratic presidential primary ramps up alongside a House impeachment inquiry into the President centered around his interactions with foreign leaders.
The inquiry stems from a whistleblower complaint that alleges Trump abused his official powers "to solicit interference" from Ukraine in the 2020 election and that the White House took steps to cover it up. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.
A rough transcript released by the White House shows Trump repeatedly pushed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July phone call to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden -- who he could ultimately face in the 2020 general election -- and his son, Hunter.
CNN reported Sunday that the lawyer for the first whistleblower is now representing a second whistleblower regarding the President's actions.
Speaking to CBS News last month, Clinton called Trump a "corrupt human tornado."
"I believe that, look there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again. And I'm hoping that both the public and press understand the way Trump plays the game," Clinton said.

I'm not worried, Trump doubtless has counters for any rigging attempts and I doubt that's what she's even saying.
She believes that it was Putin and his bots corrupting the common morons into voting for He who shall not be named.
She believes that Trump is some nimrod who got unfathomably lucky.
She believes that all she has to do to win is go to Wisconsin like once and thats that.
Arrogance and complacency cost them 2016, it's cost them over the past three years and it will cost them 2020 as well.

She just has to convince all the deplorable braindead flyover pieces of shit that she is destined to be president, but it's difficult because they're too busy flinging their lower-middle-class shit at each other. you can't blame her for failing, it's the voters' fault for being a bunch of retards.

No, she doesn't. Not even remotely. None of the upper-echelon democrats think that. They know it's a bullshit claim.

I think the big issue here is the timing. Its way the fuck to late. There has already been 3 debates.
Most BernieBro's already think the DNC rigged it for HRC in 2016 but from the outside looking it at least looked like a legit race. If the DNC lets HRC walk right in this late in the game and take over then the Warren/Sanders/other camps will rip the party apart.
Warren's Warriors would go on the warpath.

We will have a literal DNC cat fight.

Warren and Hillary will tear themselves asunder. Warren would most definetly bring up shit about bill because Warren is a pacific northwest feminist.

Having two women go at each other could spell the end of feminism.

This is Hillary we are talking about here, they'll just be added to a list and taken care of if they don't please the lich.

Whilst personally I'm divided on whether she'll actually run, I do wonder this ;
Is it really "too late"? What if this has been planned this way? The knives in this current clusterfuck have been drawn by a lot of different forces.
The Trump "Impeachment" is to muddy the waters against Biden AND Trump.
Sanders, well his heart issue however it came about is going to hurt his campaign.
Warren is too much of a loose cannon - the image she sells is that of an irrational female. That's off putting.

They're your genuine runners. Forget the fag, chink and Tulsi. Kamala and Booker are unappealing.

As we know, the DNC isn't some united front. Everyone is shooting everyone. Hillary has a lot of people in her corner, in high places. Hillary still has pull with a lot of people, because they haven't broken free of the Trump/Clinton paradigm. Look at the media. The clock has been paused on the 2016 election since before 2016.
If you think about the state of politics, nothing has moved in a linear fashion since then.

We aren't dealing with how things used to be. Trump running and Hillary losing was a massive deal worldwide.
I don't think we can think in terms of how the system "used" to be, because the DNC aren't adhering to the system anymore.
