yeah, I know, he's in his 90s and all he asked for my family is at his funeral to just celebrate his achievements in life and less the fact he is gone, that was his wish for us. He isn't gone yet, but he does not look like he will bounce back.

I just know I mentioned him a few times on the forums as my badass Slavic grandpa.

I'm sorry to hear that. Although it sounds like hes lived a full badass life thus far.

I installed a new graphics card in my computer yesterday. I really like it so far.
 
If you guys haven't heard from this morning in the chat, my grandfather passed away today. For the most part, I'm fine as I was sort of already mentally prepared, however, I have a lot of family members that aren't and need me which is equally challenging. My manager allowed me a week off from work which was great of them to do.
 
well, you guys on here do always manage to make my day often times and that is really the best thing you guys do

Oh I'm so sorry about your grandfather! My deepest sympathies to your family.
 
Our house has always been a hoarder house to some extent. My sister recently came home from years in Taiwan and is aghast at all the hoard in her old bedroom and other parts of the house. She's vigorously cleaning her room out, and I'm joining her in cleaning mine.
 
Finally got my laptop back from repairs. Now I can play my Steam games and Sims 3. I can also do all my college work on my laptop now as well.
 
I'm moving on Saturday, so it's a whirlwind of running around, packing, cleaning, and trying to take care of all the various miscellanea that go with a move.
 
just about 30m prior to boarding the plane to go home, in the starbucks around the c gate cul-de-sac in the seatac airport, i started coughing and feeling weird.

now i am double sick.

why why why god why

what have i done to deserve this
 
In my spare time I'm watching movies and listening to music. I'm enjoying myself immensely. I'm also trying to read more literature as well, because I usually read nonfiction.

Tomorrow I'm getting a writing book from the library and I'm going to attempt to write a novel.

All in all I'm enjoying myself, it's just that it's so darn cold outside. It was 4 degrees at noon today, but at least they cleared the 6 inches of snow off the roads.

My boss got me sick last week. He continues to deny that it's anything more than allergies, but I got all of his symptoms right after I came in for the first time last week.

And then while trying to stack my pillows so I could sleep with a stuffy nose easier, I slept weird and injured my neck so much that I couldn't even look around.
 
:( Ugh I have a headache. I'm not even jetlagged like my sister is (she flew in from Taiwan). I really hope the headache is from allergies, dehydration, or sleep deprivation and not a cold. I need to go to chemistry class tonight and celebrate Chinese New Year this weekend so I don't want a cold.
 
After a few days of headaches, nausea, and disgusting stuff I won't get into, I really, really hope I'm starting to get better, and I REALLY hope my chronic rhinitis will clear up with the Mystery Starbucks Disease. Got my fingers crossed.

It's a nice day in central Alaska, and I hope I can go on a walk today.
 
The Good: I picked up my trombone again.

The Bad: I keep messing up on my resolution to waste less food. I told myself I'd have leftovers for lunch today but ended up going to Burger King with my sister. Also, last night my sister heated up a package of tortellini for dinner and I ate it with her instead of eating the leftovers (which we have a lot of). I'll try to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
