I mean, I'm not actually telling you to stop, just that stuff like 'let's set them up to attack people' may be a bit too far in interacting with them.

But eh, it's like trying to defend Nick Bate. You don't. So in a way, sorry for bringing it up.
 
@A Random I believe there's only been a couple of people who even mentioned that idea, and a quick skim of the topic makes it pretty clear that no real further thought went into it.
We're too busy laughing at the absurd concept and the laughable system they have in place for Hollaback!

I get where you coming from but at the same time it would be a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. It's clear from their sales pitch videos that the people that this app was made to pander to is SJWs and not real victims of harassment. The people who are most likely going to be using this are SJWs, #GG's, and #anti-GG'ers who will just mob each other. If the whole #GG bs was any indication, no matter how you try to avoid it eventually your community will be sucked into it whether you like it or not. Either because someone from the community will sperg and pull the rest into it or because the SJW's suddenly start writing tumblrs about how your community is a "hate-site" and must be raided and conquered.

Personally, I'm rolling my eyes at this. The main thing that irritates me about this are the innocent people who are going to be hurt by this. Some of these people are known for getting people fired for being a "harasser."

Heartmob is basically a modified form of that crazy tumblr RacistsGettingFired, only instead of SJW lunatics trying to crucify people and get them unemployed for saying politically incorrect stuff on social media, Heartmob is simply giving them a way to form online lynch mobs for any target they feel needs harassed for triggering them.
 
I'll be honest. This is a brilliant con and I'm sad I didn't think of it myself. I'm not evil enough to actually do it myself but it's a great way to rip off SJWs.

So if they can be deceived into attacking an ultra-minority, all around loser lolcow that might inspire pity in the uninformed populace, the heartmob could be exposed as the bloodthirsty morons we know they are.

One question I have is how liable are the website owners over this? Considering the purpose of Heartmob and how most websites react to doxxing attempts, I have a feeling Heartmob is walking straight into a legal minefield.

Late for this thread. Oops.

I personally believe that cyberbullying is an issue, because I've witnessed it too much secondhand.

However this has to be the absolute dumbest way to go about it I've ever seen. It's great that people want to move this towards showing victims support instead of attacking their bullies , but there are already dozens upon dozens of free forums for people dealing with this shit. there doesn't need to be a hugbox that costs 20 fucking thousand dollars. What a thinly-veiled "guyz look at me caring for people" cashgrab.
 
This is like the PTSD forums Vade frequented except instead of people with real legitimate problems, they're all Vade.
