I'd say Stella does have based takes on poor. I'll give her that win.>Implying Stella isn't a good mother
I did see a video talking how Octavia is actually a very egotistical character, because like her parents she wants things to go her way.Neither of Octavia's parents are the least bit good parents. It's genuinely unbelievable that Octavia has turned out the way she has. She should be a vindictive little bitch.
If that's the angle that video wants to go with I'll have to disagree with it. Wanting things to go your way doesn't make you an egoist, it's a categorical inability to compromise that serves as the indicator for egoism. Which Octavia does not have. Octavia is a weird character because she is such a normal seventeen year old girl and it just does not work with her upbringing. She should either exhibit the worst traits of both her parents and be an absolutely evil little monster, be a highly adept social manipulator due to constantly needing to navigate the battlefield that was her home life growing up, or she should be much more sheepish and weak willed due to being relentlessly dominated and controlled her entire life and so she's a doormat NEET who just goes along to get along and rarely thinks for herself. Or some combination of the three. My issue with Octavia is that she's way too normal for how fucked up her childhood was and unlike someone in their thirties or forties who's had time to mellow out, get some life experience, and move past their fucked up childhood, Octavia is still actively living hers.I did see a video talking how Octavia is actually a very egotistical character, because like her parents she wants things to go her way.
Only conclusion is that she was actually just straight up neglected most of the time and raised by staff, not interacting with her crazy parents much at all outside of the occasional polite-ish interaction (pre-blitzo). I mean, she's the heir and yet barely knows shit about the grimoire, so stolas sure as hell wasnt giving her frequent studying sessions even before he started being a skank, and he didnt remember any of her interests past the ones she had when she was like 5. And Stella seems pretty self involved too. Too preoccupied to even control her, she would only be around staff who she'd be in a higher position than, and maybe she just had a good enough heart to not want to abuse that power. If that's the angle that video wants to go with I'll have to disagree with it. Octavia is way to well adjusted for someone who had a mom as supposedly vile as Stella and a dad who's a neglectful fag.Neither of Octavia's parents are the least bit good parents. It's genuinely unbelievable that Octavia has turned out the way she has. She should be a vindictive little bitch.
Tbh, I really like the art style of HH. This here is interesting, but not to my personal liking.Given how much wasted potential Hazbin has, it's always interesting to see others' take on the series. My personal favorite has to be alkiri_art_original's, especially her take on Charlie.

What I like about this design is that it clearly demonstrates that Charlie is very much not human, and there is a certain level of uncanniness to see such a being have a decent, if not yet truly deep grasp of human behavior. Personality wise this Charlie feels a lot more mature and intelligent while still maintaining her compassion and charm. She's still willing to give people a chance but won't hesitate to give belt to ass if you test her patience too much - and very often despite her appearance she's willing to use it to stand her ground and demonstrates why she is the princess of Hell.
Thoughts on this version? I think this is interesting and the comics she's made are also worth checking out.
Because if Stella wasn’t terrible, then people might think Stolas is (GASP!) in the wrong for cheating on her and neglecting his daughter to get fucked by some asshole! Won’t somebody please think of the sad gay bird man! Look at him taking antidepressants and crying as he eats ice cream and watches soap operas!I don't understand why Viv went fullbore into the Stella is terrible narrative. She could have made Stella out to be the better parent between Stolas and her, with scenes of Octavia gravitating to Stella now that Stolas is getting fucked in the ass by an Imp. Which is something that happens in real family struggles, with kids picking sides when the family starts falling apart.
What got me was when he was working at IMP after his court case and his first response wasn't "I miss my daughter"God, I remember when I thought Stolas was going to be more intimidating…
