Well, it went for the two popular theories. Again, I don't think it's spiteful or childish, just saying how these two popular theories aren't correct. Frankly, seems to have done fans a favor, since it made 'em think where the show is going if this was the wrong path.

I mean, I don't think it even tried to villainize him. It kinda gave more an impression he wants to help, but does it in the wrong fashion an etc. But ye, this ain't about TADC, so I'll leave it at that myself.

I'm not hot on her design tbh, I think it's the hair combined with the color pallet but it reminds me of a DA Sonic recolor and I don't like her dress. Red and pink just aren't angelic colors to my mind and I don't like that it makes her look like a croupier with a boob window. Plus I think her dress contrasts badly with her body color.

Mmmm Idk about Angels all having "Angelic colors" I mean I saw some more darker and "demonic" looking winner Angels as background characters in heaven so just like in hell I think there can be quite a bit of variety. They mostly seem to be based on different Animals like the demons. As for me I like her design a lot, and she's my most anticipated character, but I also have very low standards.

Also I mentioned Angel's sister, but there are also designs for Angel's father and brother who unlike his sister are both sinner "demons", I assume they'll all be a part of Season 3. And Angel's father in particular I think will be instrumental for him to have a chance at being "redeemed".

I unironically got recommended clickbait alan theory videos and video essays like a month or so back on youtube and I had to do a double take. "WHAT IS ALAN'S SPECIES!?!?" and "THE DARK TRUTH ABOUT ALAN" type shit. Man's just a red guy working at an office.

A twist that you see coming from a mile away but it still gut punches you due to the execution. The sheer poetry of the prison sentence is fantastic, the man was a gambler and a thrill seeker, so remove the risk, then slowly let the ennui and malaise set in.

There's a lot of parallels to be drawn between Hazbin and RWBY of all things. The show clearly possesses some level of appeal and in limited bursts can produce a truly competent and engaging product, and it's those very small flashes of quality that drive people to critique it and talk about it. It has potential and that drives people to discuss it in a context of rewrites and ideas. Hazbin and Helluva are NOT good shows, but they are interesting shows because they're too occasionally good to be irredeemably bad, and the ways in which they are bad are layered and interesting to dissect.

Interesting way, framing as RWBY. It garnered a lot of attention, and the fans really helped a lot to keep things going.

To be fair Hazbin is basically this decade's SU, all of those people and types who like that sort of thing are all there so it's understandable and I can see it sticking around for a long time just like SU did in the mid 2010s

I guess Steven Universe had the benefit of being syndicated, yet there was a whole lot of people supporting it too.

TADC began and ended as a premise. It's clear that the creator didn't have a plot or characters and can't fully articulate one within the premise he's created. It's a common problem with inexperienced writers and high concept stories and it's probably the best argument for why sci-fi is best when limited to short stories and novellas.

Short stories and sci-fi... yeah I guess I can see now why it's rare to see something get the glimpse of Star Trek or The Expanse.

Well, I wasn't aware. If that was nothing more than just "an idea made on the spot", then I don't know what else to say. Molly is an odd case, because Viv's exact words regarding Molly's status in the past was that she wasn't a demon nor she was in Hell, so I assumed Viv's old drawings of her were what she would hypothetically look like if she was in Hell since some of those drawings had her paired with Angel Dust. From the looks of it, Molly's show design is just her old design with wings and a halo slapped onto it. Who knows what her "official" Sinner design is supposed to look like, or on the flip side, what would Angel Dust look like if he became a Winner.

I haven’t read your whole post yet but there’s a very simple answer to that. Vivzie HAD to keep it since it’s been part of his character since her Zoophobia days.

I’d say she doesn’t know how to “kill your darlings” but her method of deciding which characters and traits will be dropped and kept is pretty weird. Like how Vaggie used to be AD’s girlfriend and how Cherri used to be his daughter.

It isn't so much of "kill your darlings" situation, moreso an example of Viv woobifying characters she wants us to root for, because even before the pilot, AD's effeminacy was becoming a defining aspect about him, but despite that, his crooked sleaziness was still a prominent in his personality. All of that sleaziness has been removed so now he's Viv's 666th misunderstood abused victim whose arc is learning to love himself.

I'm not 100% sure how true it is, but Cherri is like Charlie, because from my understanding, Charlie from Zootpia isn't a beta design to Hazbin Charlie, and I think Cherri is the same, as the girl who was with Izzi was named Diza or something. Kinda similar to whether the Extermination General was supposed to have been beta Adam or an entirely separate character that got scrapped and the finalized Adam just took certain parts of him for the show.

So I watched through season 2, and enjoyed it. I have pretty low standards though, and fantastical "hell" worlds with fantastical "demon" people are some of my favorite fantasy settings. I liked Vox as a villain better than Adam. I feel like Adam should have been a later antagonist since he seems like he was the main weapon that "heaven" has against "hell" in this. I assume it's because the show may have only gotten the one season so needed a strong "final boss" villain, and a basically complete story just in case they couldn't do any more seasons.
