So I watched through season 2, and enjoyed it. I have pretty low standards though, and fantastical "hell" worlds with fantastical "demon" people are some of my favorite fantasy settings. I liked Vox as a villain better than Adam. I feel like Adam should have been a later antagonist since he seems like he was the main weapon that "heaven" has against "hell" in this. I assume it's because the show may have only gotten the one season so needed a strong "final boss" villain, and a basically complete story just in case they couldn't do any more seasons.
I've heard season 3 will have a family focus so I'm hoping Angel's sister plays a good part in it, I saw her in the background a couple times. Once at least per season. Molly_lookalike_Angel.webp Molly%3F.webp MollyRender.webp

bunny spider? das perdy good

Two whole seasons and they still can't make a joke, vulgar or otherwise, that's funnier than this gem:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=AjDdNK9cDgo
It works because rather than sex being the punchline, both Angel and Alastor's personalities carry the bit.
The funniest answer is that Viv is unable to comprehend an eternal paradise and believes such a place must be just like the superficial hedonistic nepo pit she's dug herself into.
I mentioned this in an earlier post, but an entire episode of The Twilight Zone, something that aired over sixty years ago, debunked the stereotypical depiction of Heaven. In that episode, a recently deceased man is led to believe dogs aren't allowed into Heaven and chooses to walk with his dog for eternity rather than abandon his companion. Eventually, an angel finds him and explains that the "No Dogs Allowed" thing was a plot to trick him into entering Hell. Contrary to the man's theory that Heaven is full of "city folk" and stereotypical angels playing harps, the angel he meets takes on the form of a country boy who prefers to walk instead of fly with his wings. The angel even tells the man that there's raccoon hunting and square dances in Heaven because it's a place where anybody can be happy, no matter where you come from.

Or, as Dragon Ball Z Abridged best put it: Nobody's lactose intolerant in Heaven. That's why it's Heaven.
Michael Kovach made that character. I don't recognize the current version.
I'd say Blake Roman's performance is way too high-pitched for a snarky character like Angel Dust. There are times where he sounds like SpongeBob SquarePants if he was raised in Brooklyn.

Should I ask how old she is before saying she's kind of cute?

That's why how the show has gone has been such crap. Vivz seems to think just yelling "DICKS" is the height of humor. Yes, it CAN be, in the right CONTEXT. Who is yelling it to who, why, and how are they related, and how does their relationship, well, relate to whatever obscenities are being thrown down?

It's sort of like the difference between just having a guy yell "DICKS COCKS ASS FUCK!" and the obscene dialogue in Deadwood, where it was somehow elevated to Shakespearean dialogue.

Won't let me quote but Angel's sister looks so sweet! She seems like a kind girl too.

I will now proceed with my orginal plan and make Octavia a cross. Though not as a necklace as her sculpting makes it too hard. So it will be a hairpiece of sorts. Chadam will get some crosses drawn on him.

They will be christened with our collective disappointment in what could have been if Viv stuck to her original friends and actually grew the hell up.

it's a place where anybody can be happy
This makes me smile so much.

Nirvana, Heaven, Valhalla, Paradise, the Elysian fields, eternal rest and contentment, or whatever end that can be perceived as positive in a way there may be, even if it's just the endless void according to some athiests, what matters is that you have died, done your best as a mortal, let go of all the worldly and physical, and can finally reside in a place with none of the worries of Earth or wherever you are.

You see, Viv has so much potential for heaven: meditation and yoga for the pajeet-buddhist-type-shit, the fiddlers green parties for the soldiers, Valhalla buffet for the warriors, Elysian fields for the Greek type shit, Heavenly choirs for some christian sects, maybe a club-like environment for some people like in the chill sects or the more liberal believers, or an eternal naptime spot for the athiests (it's gonna be funny and cute if some are brains in jars according to some da alien theoriests)....

....oh yeah. It's Viv, so Heaven is le orange man incel conservative nazi right wing and bad.

Angel Dust issues would have been awesome, but not in this pathetic experience.

Frankly, I don't get the mafioso aspect.

Why not just make him some random gay man who had a family that didn't accept him per his time period (more like since the beginning to a degree because this gay acceptance being more talked about thing is pretty recent) which drove him to depression, vices and drugs, and eventually crimes to support himself because he was blowing his cash on substances?

He doesn’t even have to be a mafioso (though, I usually joke that those hood dagos are all gay because there is no straight explanation for kissing someone on the lips before killing them 😂), showing that bad environments, while not an excuse, can lead to people falling down the wrong path, and Angel is far more redeemable because he shows more regret and just wanted to belong, but his time period didn't allow him to?

As for him and Val, let's add more complexity. They did love each other back then. Val died because of HIV because he was an underground male hooker and of course, there were very little safe ways to do that back then because IT WAS BANNED OR NOT VERY ACCEPTED. Angel and Val met and something clicked, but Val is predatory and more of a bag-chaser than Angel Dust, so they have this damaging young love phase of wrecking shit in hell until Val becomes an Overlord. Now, this is bad for Angel because Angel's trauma is revolving around wanting to please a dominant figure (family in his human life, specifically his dad). Angel doesn't stand up for a cut - instead, he decides to SERVE under Valentino, then boom the contract, the manipulation, the violence, and all that.

RadioDust is bullshit and garbage. I looked at every Hazbin moment in the pilot at that time over and over and realized it stemmed most likely from that "I can suck your dick" phrase.

HUSKERDUST is where we are at, baby! I think this could be two people who suffered substance abuse talking together. Angel is a frequent customer of Husk so they talk a lot. First, Angel is annoying NOT JUST WITH SEX but with pranks and jokes and his silly personality, and of course, Husk doesn't like it, but Husk begins to see complexity with Angel the moment Angel speaks more and more. The two decide to talk to each other more and more about their former lives (I headcanon Husk as a high-rolling celebrity magician and professional entertainer who lives of alcohol and gambling - I don't know if this was said somewhere, but Husk may have been a soldier, so maybe he got drafted and this triggered his behaviors???? Yeah, sounds good, and Husk may have abandoned his family or even killed/hurt them in a fit of PTSD). They then talk about their contracts and the workplace abuse they have endured, with Husk even noticing it was particularly bad with Angek because at least Alastor wants the power and the bag - Valentino wants the sex and love, too, aside from that. Why am I emphasizing talking? Because it encourages patience and empathy, two things on the road to redemption that will help greatly. The hotel is a place to quiet down, sit your ass down, cut the bullshit, and finally tackle your problems.

I am sad, really. Angel Dust, some say, should have been the main focus among the hotel's tenants. He learns to be tolerant, kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly in a truly accepting place that ALLOWS him to be the more tenants it gets, starting with Sir Pentious in the first season. He is also said to be a good cook, so he indeed has a skill that would actually be helpful in attracting more clients and funds for the hotel because WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS FREE FOOD? This could also add to setting routines in the rehabilitation aspect vecause Angel can assist with helping people cook and get food (this is a common aspect in some programs in rehabs and prisons, depending on your crime). This could also lead to funny interactions with Nifty (housewife) and Husk (bartender with beverages). But yeah, cooking isn't cool (despite Angel Dust identifying as and being a man) and is only for women so everyone is just going to starve their asses at the hotel. He had lots of potential. Viv even said he was the one in Hazbin Hotel she spent a lot of time writing. Also, powerlevel, but he has also been the inspiration of my art style when I was still developing it and I am really sad, too, seeing him get butchered like that over and over.

Now, why did I emphasize routine, discipline, and severity of the crime? Like in the real world, many people might just not want to change. Many of the sinners definitely dont want to change, that's why they belong in hell. And I'm sure majority of those are the absolute worst, and I mean those who cry, apologize, and whine just because they were caught. People who just wanted to be accepted like Angel Dust, socially-awkward hermits like Sir Pentious, trauma-riddled people like Husk, and maybe some others who were poor, desperate, unwitting, addicted, or prone to getting caught in the wrong spots, may be willing to change. Take the dog grooming and training programs in some prisons for example - they just get people who ended up in prison for very minor crimes, NOT THE PEOPLE WHO COMMITED SEXUAL ASSAULT because people who commit those crimes want control over the vulnerable, and an animal is vulnerable, so getting them a job in society that handles the vulnerable 24/7 is too risky.

I think Viv should have actually done more research on the rehab aspects for the hotel instead of white Christian Adam bad Lilith good.

I haven’t read your whole post yet but there’s a very simple answer to that. Vivzie HAD to keep it since it’s been part of his character since her Zoophobia days.

I’d say she doesn’t know how to “kill your darlings” but her method of deciding which characters and traits will be dropped and kept is pretty weird. Like how Vaggie used to be AD’s girlfriend and how Cherri used to be his daughter.

Angel doesn't even show signs of acting like a hood-ass dago! At best, his mafioso outfit looked like a LARP or a costume because Angel Dust loves dressing up!

Binged on Helluva since I watched hazbin already and it's a lot more Tumblr than hazbin. It stands out really bad when you compare how garish, sleazy and off kilter this stuff is in real life.

Like compare Alastor having a deer theme to that twitch moderator who pretended to be a deer.

Or the furry episode to the zoophiliacs talking on Twitter or bluesky about raping animals.

Or Stolas and Blitz yaoi storyline to your average sex pest.

You can directly connect how Tumblr style progressives fantasize things are to how obssessive hedonists fuck up in real life.

I'm not hot on her design tbh, I think it's the hair combined with the color pallet but it reminds me of a DA Sonic recolor and I don't like her dress. Red and pink just aren't angelic colors to my mind and I don't like that it makes her look like a croupier with a boob window. Plus I think her dress contrasts badly with her body color.

I think you're taking the Hell yaoi show a bit too seriously.
Would be a valid point...if Vivienne didn't take it so seriously herself. She genuinely thinks she's doing a service for da gays by making her show a "Hell yaoi show". Don't believe me? Here's a subsection from her treatise on her old webcomic, Zoophobia.

So apparently, the purgatory thing is not 100% canon to the shows. It's something that was thought about on, but is not confirmed.

In other news, Morgana has stepped down in their role of being a brand manger for Spindlehorse, and is now one for GLITCH.

SO, now Mick Ignis is working with the other troon. Definitely a sign that TADC will be going to the shitter soon. Man, I'm glad I didn't invest my time or even my fucking attention to that crap, seeing how the "based tranny Gooseworx" in the end just said "fuck your theories lmao".

Also, making Hell a red LA and not a place of eternal punishment for your sins to own the Christians means that she kneecapped herself on depicting how the characters' vices hold them back from redemption. There is no way the next season will show how harmful the porn industry is and have Angel Dust leave it.

She won't even show that Hell being where the fun never ends is not exciting as it sounds. I'm reminded of another Twilight Zone episode where a small-time criminal gets killed in shootout. He then gets lead by a man in suit to a luxurious apartment and assumes he's in Heaven when he gets everything he wants. Time passes as he has grown bored with always winning, tired of the beauty women, and having no thrill in challenges if it's all setup for his instant satisfaction. He asks the man to send him to "the other place" before being told where he's at "is the other place."
